@Crab... see if you can find out what she's interested in. Then ask her about it. No flirting need be involved to just break the ice. :)

Bio

Long time casual role player who loves tales of adventure! I enjoy tabletop games, play-by-post, and even LARP!

Wild (and sometimes weird) west and medieval fantasy games with an 'old-school' D&D feel are my favorite.

In real life, I'm a software engineer and wanna-be farmer. I have a little garden and some chickens that like to destroy my flower beds. But I like 'em anyway and they all have names. ;) Sometimes they lay me some breakfast.

Other hobbies include dog agility and archery.

Did the girls get out of the rubble?

I was giving Lunar at least a until tonight to reply before moving the story ahead... there's still a ghoul threat in that tunnel after all... Not sure if she's planning to follow Wimena out or go after the ghoul.
Also, although the whole place might be shaking just a bit from the room with the column collapsing, it's just that room... not the entire structure.
Does it always get really slow over the weekends in here?

I'm generally not on as much over the weekend. Also, apologies in advance, but I'm starting a new job on Monday. I know I won't be online quite as much and even if I might be able to check the site occasionally during the day via my phone, anything more than short replies will have to wait until I get home.
@Lunar ... Do you want another post before the next GM post? (Not intending to rush you. I'm assuming June is in the tunnel right behind Wimena, but I don't want to steal your chance to act...)
"Rockmar! Cedric!" the Constable could hear... something... crashing and rumbling coming from the crawlspace.

As Wimena charged, the ghoul leapt upwards into the secret tunnel, though not quite fast enough to completely avoid the shield and it clipped his legs. An eery scream echoed back down, though whether it came from the ghoul or the serpent was impossible to say...

In the chamber, more rubble falls from above, small chunks skipping down into the tunnel.

Debris that might have struck Wimena bounced off the heavy shield with loud 'clangs'. As the two head toward the tunnel, a massive slab crashes down from above, narrowly missing the pair. In the tunnel, the ghoul is crouched just under the secret passage that June had discovered, as if just waiting and daring the adventurers to try to pass it. In this ghoul, the strange humanoid-headed snake looks to have already broken free of its host, its fanged head extruding from the ghoul's belly.
That's a bit too anti-climactic... @Lunar I'm going to take that as what June is trying to do... ;)
@Fubsy @Lunar As June grabbed the spear, the trap meant to foil would-be tomb robbers was set in motion! Almost immediately, the column starts collapsing, stone and wood puzzle pieces splitting apart and crashing to the ground!

@Garth Enough light from outside comes through the hole in the ceiling of this room to see fairly well. This chamber has partially collapsed: tall stone slabs that once supported the ceiling are now canted inward by the weight of the earth above and fallen debris is piled in the center of the room. It seems as if the entire chamber could collapse with the slightest disturbance.

In the rubble, barely visible, is the corner of what looks like a large stone chest..

---

@Lunar The twigs fall away easily, revealing a tunnel about 2 feet wide that goes straight upwards. It's too dark to see much of anything, but as she is looking upwards a ghoulish creature (same as before) drops down toward her, dirt covered nails outstretched toward the woman...

@Fubsy The column is made of alternating stone and wood sections, arranged like an elaborate puzzle, each resting upon the next. The constant pressure from above has slowed, but not halted, the wood's rot.
I'll get a post in soon for you guys! Give me an hour! :)
