Bio

Long time casual role player who loves tales of adventure! I enjoy tabletop games, play-by-post, and even LARP!

Wild (and sometimes weird) west and medieval fantasy games with an 'old-school' D&D feel are my favorite.

In real life, I'm a software engineer and wanna-be farmer. I have a little garden and some chickens that like to destroy my flower beds. But I like 'em anyway and they all have names. ;) Sometimes they lay me some breakfast.

Other hobbies include dog agility and archery.

Renna's eyes shifted back and forth between the pirates still on their knees and this new potential threat. Or possibly ally.

She decided to try for the latter. "A little late, chap. But there's a lot to go around if you help us."

"A chest of gold to you, man, if you shoot this wench," the pirate captain called out, upping the ante.
This is a jump-in, make-it-up-as-we-go-along RP. So have fun! For characters, please keep it in the realm of non-godlike species. (no vampires, dragons, demons, etc.)

"This has been lovely, Captain," Renna smirked as she brushed the tip of the captain's own sword against his throat while her companions helped themselves to the pirates' recent loot. Too bad they'd celebrated by getting drunk and blabbing about their new found wealth all over this port town. Really, they were just asking for someone to try to take it from them. Why shouldn't it be her and her friends? "We should really do it again sometime."

"Now... against that mast, please," she directed, intending to have them bound there while her merry little company made a clean get away. Maybe they'd even alert the authorities to the whereabouts of the pirate vessel once they were far enough away.
hmmmm.... (thinking while typing, could be rambling. ;) ) something to do with the Forbidding? Or something else entirely? Maybe one of the other sets of elfstones is thought to be in troll country?

Though I also think runes and rocks when I think of trolls. Sometimes when I'm stuck for ideas, I like to browse deviantart. This is kinda cool: deviantart.com/fibacz/art/Rune-Circle…

Though I'm not sure exactly what it would do.
I'm having trouble coming up with a solid idea that feels big enough to fit the tone of the books/show. Some rough ideas, maybe together we can make it cooler...

* Our characters are Rovers and venture into ruins, end up discovering something high tech from the old world. But they have no idea how to use it. End up creating a lot of trouble.

* Two druids (maybe set in the pre-Allanon days) are charged with recovering some ancient books. This could be pretty open.

* ?? I dunno... what are your creative juices saying?
Hey! I might be interested. After seeing the show on Netflix, I went and read just about everything Terry Brooks has written. (And, as usual, the books are way better. )

I'll give some thought to some potential plots...
Kaden Tobler

Once Agael released him, Kaden took a few moments to collect himself, both mentally and emotionally. The dreadfulness of the memories of the Court of the Dead had diminished slightly in the past three days and he'd managed to almost convince himself that this was all some big mistake and that once it became clear who he was that he would be released. Anger had replaced some of the fear and he promised himself he would never forgive this transgression against him.

But he saw little he could do about it in his present situation.

"She was thrown in with us early in the morning," he answered finally, slowly. "A brown-haired woman of child bearing age. She was wounded, a gash to the leg."

An idea struck him suddenly that could maybe plant a seed of doubt about the loyalty of Octa's men without actually lying, something he was still leery would have unpleasant repercussions. "I saw the man who pulled her from the wagon very well," he said. "Long light brown hair, well trimmed beard, green vest and a gray cloak. He wore some sort of necklace with a purple stone." He paused, gauging Agael's reaction, hoping he recognized the description of the wagon's driver.
@KelewenAbsolutely! I was thinking about this very RP just a few hours ago, thought it was great too.

How are you doing? All well I hope

Good! I really didn't intend to disappear for so long. But I'm itching to get back into some RP.

@Assallya, geesh... 5 whole days! After I disappeared for 9 months, I think I can cut ya some slack.

@gorgenmast Whoohoo! :)

@Assallya@Meep@ONL@manapool1@EricWald Just tagging you guys since some have probably unsubscribed by now cause the GM is flakey. ;)
Kamri slowly pulled back the bandages covering the wound on Rooks leg and resisted the urge to grimace. She'd learned pretty fast that showing emotion while tending to someone wasn't necessarily always the best thing. The wound was pretty deep and as she pulled the solid bandage away fresh blood seeped from the gash. Quickly Kamri pulled the pan of water from the fire and began to clean the wound.

...

As she finished cleaning the wound she held a clean bandage to it to staunch the bleeding and reached for her needle and thread. "I have to sew you up Rook, I have a Salve for numbing but there isn't much left. Do you want it or not?"

As Kamri re-cleaned the 3 day old wound, Rook sucked in a sharp breath and her hands clenched into fists. She did her best to concentrate on the conversation about the ruins and about the Trickster, but still flinched frequently as Kamri worked.

Shades! Yes, I want the salve!, she thought to herself, but instead shook her head. "You can save it." The ranger reached out and rested a shaky hand on Kan's arm, perhaps hoping to borrow some of his strength for a short time.

"Wouldn't this Trickster be long dead by now... if he's one and same as 'The Raven?'" she asked before Kamri started stitching.

Letha's heart leapt into her throat when she saw Peyton dragged into the Waterfront. "Let him go!" she yelled, starting forward with the only thought being to get to her son, to protect him from these monsters. But one of her fellow townsfolk grabbed her shoulder to stay her. "Don't be rash, Letha," the man cautioned softly, then he looked at Vatikar, barely heeding old Ragnar moving through the crowd. "No one's rushing off," he said, trying to diffuse the situation, "we'll do what we can to help find the criminal."

And Letha felt tears come, unbidden, to her eyes, feeling as if she would have to betray the Revolt to save her son.
