Kiana approached the black window, facing out into nothingness. A woman's voice started speaking to them from nowere (o everywere), but Kiana didn't bother in looking out for it, she was too transfixed in the stars sprinkling in the black mantle outside. She could see the sun, sparkling in the middle of the night. She could see the stars in any direction, werever she looked to. It was a really beautiful sight, sans the black... sun? Moon? Ot was a big ball floating in the middle of nowere just below her floor.
Her thoughts were cut as the voice spoke about war, about loss of life and the rescue of them five... Six? There was another unopened "Egg" or whatever they were. Everything was extinct because of a great war, she said, and there was nothing they could do now, it was years ago from now, and they were the lone survivors. Everything was gone now, same as everyone. She looked at the charred "planet" below. Was that what once was their home? Where their cities and mountains once sat? It didn't seem like it, but the voice was speaking of a whole world. Their world. Everything was truly gone? It sounded so out of reality.
No, it couldn't be; it was all just... complicated, maybe. Their world was more than just dead, right? It had to be somewere else, and just had to search for home. Or... "Another home"... As the voice was saying.
The rest of the voice talked about a lot of things. Certain duties that they needed to fulfill, something about wristbands and access, technology, and something else; it really was like a blur to Kiana, she wasn't really paying attention to everything. What got her attention was one of the positions, the Pilot, in charge of navigation and manouverability. She was also speaking of a ship. Navigation in a ship sounded a lot like a boat or other...
Ship, I guess. She had never worked overseas, but it didn't seem like it was a nautic kind of thing. They seemed to be floating straight in the night sky, without a ground below.
She remembered the two dots and webs in her egg thing. It seemed to be something like where they were now. A dead "planet" close by, they should be the white dot with the webs, right? Maybe the webs were paths... Like currents in the oceans, those things might be the best paths for the "Flock" to take.
She was kind of in her own thoughts, first thinking about a lot of things, but eventually zoning out after the messenge stopped. She heard Natazume speak about her magical powers, and that made her stand to attention immediately. She was about to speak when Gio started talking, and then Eli ran from one end of the room to the other, saying how everything was a lie or a hoax of some kind, but his desperation was clear as day in his tone.
Kiana stepped close to Eli, breathing in and out steadily to comfor herself.
"Ummmm... Eli? Let's calm down for now to figure out how to go about all of this. We'll find whatever we can here in this ship, right?" She smiled in his direction before turning towards Natazume and the others.
"Well, I could be a Pilot, I've always managed myself pretty well with maps and directions during my travels." As Andrik spoke and grabbed a bracelet from Natazume, she thought that it might be better if they didn't split away to explore.
She quickly grabbed a bracelet at random and stepped towards the Dwarf
"Wait, Andrik! I'll come with you. You know, strength in numbers and all of that" She thought excitedly of what might lay in the other side of the door, and was surprised by the way the door didn't swing open, but part itself down the middle and slide away just as they were about to touch it. They were greeted with a corridor, lit with white light and with another door right in front of them. Kiana stepped out first and looked sideways. To her left was the rest of the corridor and to the right was a small section of it, with two door to each side and another right at the end.
"So, where should we go?" She asked nerviously to Andrik, unsure of their next move.
