Question: Do our character's basic language coincide with the ship's original language (wothout translation)?

Or does the ship write in English (or something) while our characters speak in something else, that might give a hint where the ship is from?

@DracoLunaris I considered it more of just a straight corridor with the pods on both sides of the hall of sorts but that works too. It just goes to show how interpretation works with reading and writing. I love the idea of drawing things out as we go.

@71452K I don't want to fuss with language at least not for a long long time. I'd just say English is the best bet right now. The ship's origins won't be on the ship itself though, any other passengers who were once on board didn't make it that far.

I'm not good with kids, tbh, but I study child psychology and education so there's that. And as a quasi expert I say "bribe the little goblins" is the best strategy :P

Good evening all, its good to see this is still going on.

@Genkai Congrats on the job offer! Stickers I've found to be pretty good on a chart then one afternoon the good ones get time off (the trick is everyone gets time off) this only works with youngsters though. Luckily for a time I was also the PE teacher so I could sneak my class out for games.

If it helps the story I can try and mock up a post for anreaction etc... seeing as I'm still dead to the world.

I posted, doing some interaction with Baron's character. As for fluff, I added that the bracelets have their own designated lights, if that's okay with you. I thought it would be cool to have them be distinguishable! Like in Star Trek, different crew members had different robe colours.

@71452K Not quite sure. We can do it the cliche colour way with red being for captain, yellow for second officer, blue for medic, green for researcher, brown for tactician and white for pilot.

But I'm also really up for everyone picking the colour themselves, based on their fav colour or what they personally think fits each role :P which is why I left the colours of the remaining bracelets vague.

The way that was said, makes me wonder if the wristbands have a secret function called "It's Morphin Time!". :P. @LostBrotherGrimm

I Managed to make this, in according to draco's map (it's the exact same thing, just tiled and different artwork). If you guys like this artstyle that is standardized (no googling for random images to place in there unless you want to, because the library I used to create has all the art for every spaceship need), I can provide you the link and type out how to manipulate the link to make custom maps.

I'm partial to all the roles left, I leave it in the hands of IC to decide :X. Heheheh Kiana Reeves.

@LostBrotherGrimm Sendai actually, and in June but right now I'm sort of doing a lot of prep, canceling phone here, fiddling with my bank account, packing/shopping, doing a lot with friends/family before I take off. It's really crazy! When I do head out there will be a likely 1-2 week period where I won't have reliable internet. It depends on if the person I'm taking over for, has it set up in their apartment still or if I need to get it installed which I hear can take 1-2 months sometimes. And plus I've never worked before, let alone full time so when I have days off during the week, I'll probably be hella tired so it'll take time for me to well, find time. But I will. I just ask you folks be patient. :3 And cheer me on.

@Kenaron Speaking of any possible unforeseen absences, I'd like you to ensure rounds still happen, with you acting as GM in my absence. I think when I get closer to departure, I'll PM some ideas but I'd love for this to keep moving in any direction if I got offline for a few weeks. I probably will have a few minutes here or there to jump online but I have a feeling it's going to be a tough period of adjustment, depending on time management.
