A Witcher RP (An Awesome Fantasy World!)

A quick question before throwing my hat on the designated ring, how much prior knowledge of the witcher should be had before entering? Are you setting heavily on the Witcher's original plot/specifics? Or could someone that doesn't know a lot (or anything (like, for example, me)) treat it like a high fantasy setting and do god enough?

So, I'm interested in making a nihilist (easy-going kind of nihilist, kind of Rick Sanchez-y) but I don't know where is the char sheet? I really like the concept, though, and I'm already starting to think of the guy.

Btw, @Dead Cruiser, I think I'm cool with an engineer. Thetough guy was for the security chief, but that's already taken. And no psionics, ok, I'll get to work.

Seems interesting. I could apply as one of the initiates that has already been found and trains at the island? Ocasionally he'd go out to look for more initiates with the others, to not have him just laying around or training in all of the posts

New Roleplayer in deck!

Hello, I'm Kenaron and I've just joined (literally just finished my account.). I have some prior experience with roleplaying because of a little of DnD 5e and a bundle of months spent around coloholics anonymous (btw, it seems to have vanished?).
I stumbled among this "RPG" through the TV Tropes listing of play-by-post sites and RPs, and I spent like two days looking from afar, reading some of the RPs interested in new players, and despite probably not having enough time to tend to a RP character full time, the time I do have will have to do, because I just really wanted to roleplay again.
Also, from IRL, I'm 19 and from Argentina, trying to get into first year of college without screwing anything up. So there's that.
I'm really excited to come back to a pbp forum again, and I look forward to staying for a long time.
