Now that everyone is talking about it, anyone that wants a wandering contact just let me know and I'll give my Cenkos someone in her raletionships department. Nomadic and normally a forest person, anyone up?
Height: 5'7 (I swear I'm gonna get a migrane trying to figure out imperial)
Weight: 65 kg
Likes: Playing videogames and literal backflipping. Cats, calm reunions, talking, reading. Simpsons. Referencing
Dislikes: Clubs and parties of "that" sort, loud people, loud stuff in general.
Party Trick: Yeah, let's not.
Profession: Just landed a job on translation.
Bio/Personality: Normally, he's a pretty chill guy, trying to not stand out too much in a crowd and just not making a fuss..
His love for games was ignited within him since he was really little, going as far back as he can remember. He grew up on games, and learned a lot from them, including spanish as a second language, since then, he's become really fond of the medium, always looking into it and trying to learn anything new that he can out of it.
His love for gaming, though, also lead to him having some kind of serious weight issues, which in turn lead to people mocking him when he was little, yadda yadda. He's not fond of that period of his life, but also isn't going to pretend it never happened, he survived it and was better off because of it.
This weight issues lead, in turn, to him becoming more concerned about his general aspect and starting to make some more exercise, which lead him to do a bunch of athletics back in the day, wich made him lose enough weight as to feel pretty comfortable with himself again, and now he's just slacking for a while. He still enjoys running and jumping around like a monkey, though.
He befriends people quickly, but maybe too quickly for his own good. This has given him some great friends and great disappointments throughout his life, but whatever is the end result he is always open to meeting new people. He also belives in "The One", always secretely thinking that the next girl just might be...
He spends most of his time gaming, whether it is online or alone, and he enjoys the company of whoever he can find to spend some time with. He also spends a good amount of time freelancing as a translator for a friend of his father, who just recently accepted him as a translator for subtitles. It's his first job, he's starting small.
When he decides to get out of bed his apartament, he can be seen around the arcade or the cafe, maybe even the park if he feels like it. He usually enjoys the calm of these places and tries to go with people he cares about, or maybe a good book or thought in his mind.
Theme Song: A song? To represent me? That's a tricky one... Is it only one? Well, let's pick one at random and that one will have to do. Something like this?
@Oak7ree you could have things that work like Faraday Cages (literal translation, not sure if it's correct in english). Things that are not exactly just the materials, but also the way it's built.
Something like a metal or alloy that makes magic nigh impossible
Personality: laid back and relaxed, normally distracted and optimistic; upon entering combat, he becomes bold and impatient
Weapons: Greatsword, mace, and daggers
Skills/Magic: -Having been trained under a seasoned knight, Rothar has experience with almost any weapon, but he considers better to stick with his trusty sword, if only even for the meaning it has to him. -His magic is mostly based around healing people. His powers can heal any small wound and medium cuts and slashes, but the bigger it is, and the closer to a death strike it is, the more impossible it becomes, straining his body and mind to his absolute limits -For defense, he can also project a spectral shield for a hit of anything from a punch to a buiding collapsing into him, but his concentration fades proportionally with the strength the shield absorbs. Things that would normally crush him can easily knock him out, and in a normal sword combat he can block some attacks, but prefers dodging as his shields takes concentration to maintain and move around.
History: Seeking to follow in his father's footsteps (a valiant knight, always standing against the Dark lord, but being forced to flee in the end), Rothar keeps on striving to be the one with the determination necessary to finally cleanse the Dark Lord, and its realm of terror. After training in secret with his father, he was dubbed worthy of his own father's gleaming armor, and the family sword passed down from generations, the mighty Vanquisher. Armed with this cleansing sword, Rothar seeks to strike the Dark Lord's army one by one if needed.
Other: He's got a quirk to always be in contact with the Vanquisher's hilt, be it to rub it from time to time for good luck to using it as a support when standing.
- Kiana comes from a small city known simply as Twin River Pass, located between the two major affluents to the Lord's River. The town was originally structured as a circle, with the rivers being its tangents, but eventually the town grew larger and larger, and the expansion lead to a triangular city, with multiple bridges to both sides of the rivers and a huge fishing community. Kiana lived all of her life in that city, sometimes dreaming of travelling far and wide, and sometimes enjoying the place like there was nothing else. The first, though, only grew with the years, and after serving as a River Hand (the City Watch of Twin River Pass), she decided to follow the call for adventure, and eventually, at age 22, bid farewell to her parents. She constantly writes letters to them whenever she can find a time and a place. -
Life:
- When she left home to the adventure and the lands from faraway tales, she made her mind to live on her own. At the young age of 15, she had helped countles times to prepare dinners and foods; by 19, she could fully skin almost any animal, through and through, and was always on the lookout in the forest for some tasty animal. Her father had teached her how to use the bow and arrow, and had taught her the ins and outs of hunting. During her time as a River Hand, she became more and more proficient in cooking and in hunting, and all of those things come into play now that she's on the road. She typically hunts her own food, but can also strike up a deal with some inn or locals, teaching them recipes or providing them with fresh meat in exchange for a roof over her head. Most of the time she waits for morning to move out of the city once more, saying propper goodbyes to everyone she has come to talk, and asking for directions to cities or landmarks, to start the adventure once again. -
Talents:
- Hunting -
- Acrobatics -
- Survival expert -
- Nature knowledge. -
Flaws:
- Homesick -
- Doubtful -
Combat:
- Her time as a City Watch teached her everything she needs to know to get by, she has a masterful aim with the bow, and knows enough swordplay to defend herself, but is always on the lookout for opportunities to run and shoot. Though able to manage and intimidate people, she's never killed a man, and she thinks it's something too dire to do. -
Age: Well over 100, but stopped counting around 113. Looks around early to mid 30's
Appearance: A 6' tall, dark skinned woman, with brown, long hair that normally keeps braided. Careful observers can take note of a subtle scar running along her left cheek, going back towards her ear. Her facial features became hardened after years of roaming, and her normal stare could easily be taken as a scowl by any bystander. Her green eyes have a golden hem and she's got a muscular build.
Race: Witcher
School: Cat
Bio:
Cenkos has always known the life of a Witcher, the strain the training put on her made her the best version that she could ever become, and she was always eager to prove herself. Whenever she had the time, she would go out and hunt whatever it was for whatever the reason, she didn't care how much food she had, or how small of a critter it was, she always could work around any excuse to enjoy a good hunt.
She never felt any ulterior motives to become a monster hunter, she was just the best at it, the pay was good as she could get, and the whole thing was about tracking and taking down beasts from her size to several times her size. It was the ultimate test of skill when it came to hunt, and Cen couldn't resist to something like that. She always shrugged off the praise of the people, with or without the needed tact, and always walked away with some trophy from whatever beast she had slain.
Her life was comfortable enough as she had plenty of money to spare, and she lived a laid back life whitout almost any concern, living mostly on the road with her own hunted food, her money always ended up paying reapirs to her equipement, or purchases of new gear, herbs, or fully made potions.
She remembers the day she saw the Purge, from afar and coming back to the city. She had just hunted a hulking monster, easily twice her size and broad as a house. The fight itself had been a blast, but she hadn't recieved any of the fanfairre and praise that she normally had. She didn't mind, but it was something odd that there was people missing from the usually lively town.
The city was in the middle of the Purge when she entered, seeing Witchers laying dead on the street or pitted against walls, with their swords drawn and surrounded. Immediately after seeing this, she threw everything that was not a weapon and drawed her crosbow, aimed at one of the soldiers and shot without a second thought. As the bolt was shot, she turned and ran for the gates.
She retreated to a nomad life in the woods, hunting for herself and laying as low as possible. She saw the lack of monsters, and knew that the services of a monster hunter were of no use without said monsters, so she understood the principle in which humans had acted, but still despised the actions they had taken. She grew older and more accustomed to the simple life she was keeping, every day integrating herself more and more to the world she had once served, but that now had no place for her.
When living on the wild, she had picked up the hobby of hunting thieves and grunts as she once hunted monsters. They yielded far less coin, and she now had no use for it, but some offered her exciting news about the human world, and, if the information was good enough, could walk away. One of such attempts, however, left her empty-handed. She had heard a couple of days before of the second conjunction, and she couldn't care less of this human quarrel, but the thief who she had caught this time, he was not alone, and was no thief.
As soon as she jumped onto him, heavily armored guards jumped out from nearly everywhere. She had, apparently, become too laid back in her retirement. She knew that she was outmatched, but as soon as she surrenderd, she was handed a seal, and read a letter from the king himself. He offered a "pardon" for the "horrible things her species had done" for the "honor" of helping humanity once more. She would have thought about it, and she might have had accepted, but given the circumstances, she was taken- I mean, escorted to the castle, where the king gave some speech about something, and he offered her, again, the "pardon"
She's had an idea, while the sodiers where taking her. She would become the first "Kingdom Approved Assassin" with the help of all the work she was to get done in the mean time. After all, if she had no choice, she might as well enjoy a big reward.
Personality: Normally eager to have a good hunt and relaxed in most of other things, thinks low of the king calling back the people who he sought to exterminate, but will answer to any hunting call, more so if the pay is good. Ususally seen focused and calm in and out of combat, she also has a quirk of smiling to pretty much anything, to conceal any true feeling.
Weapons: The two witcher swords, along with a couple of potions and a crosbow with its bolts.
Family/relationships?: None.
Other: Has a quirk of trying to be into anything that is happening, trying to hear conversations or snatch any piece of information that she can get a hold on.
