Riley took her advice immediately as she charged at the temporarily distracted orc, throwing herself onto its face as she blasted balls of fire at tits arm band in an attempt to burn it off. It took a couple of tries, but luckily, she shot right at it and successfully burned the protection from the monster as its beloved arm band fell to the floor. Riley was then chucked off of the orc's face, Jasper gagging in her mouth as she saw the damage she had down with her staff, its eye bleeding, red fluid trailing down his cheek. Looking at Riley, she had collapsed, her amulet nearly empty. Jasper scrambled to her side immediately, pressing a hand to the girl's chest. She knew the drill, shut your eyes and focus, surge the energy into one you care about. She imagined her essence flowing out of its glass enclosure and into Riley's. Sadly, Jasper's own amulet was draining quite a bit and she was only able to give Riley's ornament enought o hit the half way point.
"That should be enough to sustain you." Heaving a sigh of relief, she turned her attention to the orc, but came face to face with ice. A wall of ice was surrounding the orc completely and Jasper knew right away who had made it. Haku always had the knack for creating beautiful, yet dangerous structures. Though she couldn't see the orc, she could hear it thrashing around within the trap, audibly trying, but failing to escape its ice jail.
"Jasper! Help Haku please!!!", Lesley yelled from atop a boulder where he was constantly blasting rainbow beams at the beast within.
Nodding her head rapidly, she ran towards where Haku looked dangerously close to passing out as well, his amulet wasn't visibly showing any essence. As she ran, she watched Leon sum up immense energy, she could see the chilly atmosphere above the ice enclosure shuddering in wavy lines as the pressure was being forcibly drawn south-bound. Brutal roars of excruciating pain rang from within the ice walls and she wished she wasn't there to listen. Death was a terrible fate whether it was a creature or a human, it still hurt her either way to witness it. Then the cries died out, crackling of thick bones and gushing noises were clearly heard and she stopped in her run to clutch her upset stomach. Horrific images of how it must've looked in there flashed through her mind and she couldn't help, but stagger to a nearby bush and throw up air. Her stomach absolutely empty, not able to release anything.
Haku looked like he was on the verge of collapsing and so did Leon. Riley was laying a little ways away on the other side of the sculpture. Lesley was the only one who looked like he was in decent shape.
“Are you guys alright? Great job, you guys! We killed our first orc.”
Stumbling to where he and Hakuren were, Jasper grabbed Leon's amulet. The life of a healer, she now knew, was not easy the least bit. she was physically and mentally drained out from regenerating essence for her team mates, but she knew that her power was vital tot heir survival. Resting her forehead on the crook of Leon's shoulder, she needed some physical support as she closed her eyes and surged his essence to one fourth. That's all she could put in because Hakuren still needed some, probably more than anyone there. His eyes looked bloodshot and scarlet fluid ramified from his lips. his skin was pale and she could swear he was looked as if he was going to die.
Jasper by now had exhausted her resources and she only had one fourth left in her own. Placing a hand on Haku's shoulder, she wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him, feeling her energy float into his. Slowly, cutting her one fourth in half giving one eighth to him leaving her with half of what she initially had. at this point, Jasper was officially done. She let herself slide off of him as she fell to her knees on the ground. "Good job guys..." she lay down on the soft moss, it was so cold, yet her body felt warm. Jasper closed her eyes and let herself drift off into la la land. She slept.
