Lets explore and get lost in the serendipitous flux.

Bio

A biography section. I always find these hard to write. Finding the right mixture of fun and informative is something I have yet to master.

Lets see, I've been wielding the pen (keyboard in contemporary terms I suppose) since I was in middle school and continued since. So however old I was back then to my current 21 year old self. Novellas - the grand compromise between short stories and novels - has been my main modus operandi for writing. However, after braving those waters for some time, I decided to give collaborative writing a try. Hence the reason why I joined this site.

I live in GMT -06.00. The specifics? Well, I shall leave that unveiled to garner some mystique for my internet persona. I'm still in school, so this remains a hobby for me. I do foresee that I should be pretty active. If things do fall into a flux, I adhere to this thing called communication. I will communicate to my partners whether it be jovial banter, brainstorming, or notifying for prolonged absences.

For now, I think I'll wrap this up. If anyone bothered reading this, here's a cookie. *Hands over a cookie*

As we all are writers, I have no shame in sharing my writing to potential partners who wish to see what they're getting themselves into. Said samples will be short quips from novellas however. I have yet to build a repertoire as a roleplayer. Don't hold it against me.

Anyway, lets see what stories lurk amongst this community.

Valete, amici mei.

@KahleenCuthald well, if not that, I've got a blank slate on my end. If you have ideas, feel free to share.
@KahleenCuthald Just go along with the slice of life premise for now. I'm thinking about involving the Reapers or that region's Mountain Men some time soon.
One of the women complied. It would've been a shame to cut down travelers as well as lose hunters. Taiga felt this presence about the two. They were dangerous even though they didn't look the part. As were Fenra and herself as well. Though the clan could surely return these two travelers to the Earth, the potential collateral damage was astounding. She grimaced to herself. As long as they were here, they'd have to be watched. That was a given.

When another hunter took the weapons and brought them to the gatehouse near the village entrance. Taiga waved for the two to follow her. "I'll show you to the merchants. Typically, we welcome traders. Commerce and merchants brings interesting things to the village. And people," she said. When they neared the market square, Taiga turned about. "What're you looking for? Anything in particular? We have food merchants. Artisans. Trinkets. Ale. If you're seeking luxury, the great city southwest of here is the place to go."

"If you travel," Fenra interjected, "if you've traveled past the eastern mountain pass, how are things there? A merchant spoke of mountain men roaming those parts. The vermin. They kidnap children - people. We've heard nothing from our sentries out there. Doesn't mean their not active however. Reapers too. Surely you've heard of the Reaper clan forming to the west?"
Edited due to me maybe overstretching myself. Sorry...
@KahleenCuthald definitely agree here. Still thinking about that one though.

Vanessa pursed her lips. "The mall huh? I could definitely use a shopping trip. We could even visit that tea place I was talking about. I heard they have some really top notch stuff," she said. "You can verify that for me. As for that dinner gala. Do you know what it's for? If it's interesting, that could very well be our evening plans! Course, if your mother agrees to come too. Can't leave her alone now."

Hearing Lawrence's brief comment about leaving, Vanessa caught a glimpse of him as he left the house. She grinned. "Busy as always."

There's a post to you.

I'm still trying to think up a reason for my characters to leave the village. Something that they won't do lightly.
Gorgeous? Did the woman just call Fenra and herself gorgeous?

A bit confounded by the choice of words, Fenra made a clicking sound as the hunter from before came back. Taiga looked to him. "What does the elder want?"

"They can trade. They must leave all their weapons at the entrance. They will be searched for security. They'll get them when they leave," said the hunter in the common tongue. "Those are the conditions. Unless they prove hostile, they'll keep their lives."

Looking back to the strangers, Taiga regarded the bold stranger then the gentler stranger who was half-turned away. "If you can do without your weapons you're free to trade," Taiga said. "Commerce remains of some importance even in conflict. Just mind your manners."

Fenra regarded the two with suspicion. She didn't like this. Both women seemed seasoned. She supposed it was expected from wanders and loners. "We'll be watching," she said to the two as she motioned to the village. "This is Raekyth."

Giving her friend a look, Taiga motioned for the two women to follow her. "We'll take your weapons at the gate. You'll get them back when you leave. All of them."
The over watch team arrived quickly. Regardless of which group each hunter was in, speed was of the essence. While the thunder jaws were busy following the herd, who knew when they'd come back? The machine and organics were creatures of habit. Once they found a grazing ground, they always came back until it was freshly cleaned out. From Taellana's experience, this was the conclusion she came to. However, she had no desire to test that hypothesis. Get in and out quickly. That was the name of the game.

Helping the others load the game into the carts, Taellana looked around. It didn't take her long to notice what was missing from the gathering of hunters. Her mirror self. Alliminum. Where was she? Was she okay? Did she get separated? Numerous thoughts and scenarios played through her mind as she found the nearest over watch hunter. "Where's Ally? She was with you, right?"

The woman shrugged as she looked around. "Last time I saw her, she was watching a watcher," the hunter said. "Not sure why the elder wanted her to come along. In insult intended."

Taellana shook her head as she walked over to Kolton. "Ally's missing. I need to go look for her," she said. She checked her supplies. "I'll meet you all back at the village. Think you can manage a hunter down?"

Kolton scoffed as he nodded to the group. "We'll manage. There's extra jerky and water in my bag. Help yourself."

"I won't be gone for long."

The veteran hunter frowned. "No matter how trivial your outing, never underestimate the forest. When one drops their guard is when she'll lash out."

Taellana should've known that. She sighed as she reached into Kolton's bag and retrieved the provisions. "My sister. My worry for her trumps reason," she said. "I tried to get her out of this hunt. Unsuccessful as you can see."

"We do what we must for the village."

Taellana nodded. Checking over things, she began to head towards the over watch area. "May we meet again."

"May we meet again," Kolton said. "Come back safe. The two of you."

Taellana smiled. "We will."
It didn't take long for Taellana to reach the position the over watch team took. Seeing a number of tracks, she looked around until she saw foot depressions in the grass leading away. The hunter sighed to herself. Ally wasn't her, she just wandered off like a stupid putz.

Following the footsteps, it didn't take too long for Taellana to find her twin looking at plants and what not. Trying to reign in her temper - failing miserably - she approached her twin. "By the Paragons! Ally. Really?" Taellana walked up to her twin and turned her around to face her. "Wandering off to look at plants? Wandering off while the others are working to get the game back to the village? Do you want people to starve, sister? Our harvest wasn't good this year! And wandering off by yourself? Ally, you know what lurks out here. Dangerous things! What if a thunder jaw came back? What would you do?"

Releasing her grip from her sister, Taellana took a deep breath as she looked around. "I hope your little nature walk was enjoyable," she said. "We've leaving. Now. We hurry along, we can catch up with the others. Paragons, Ally! Honestly."
Wonderful! I didn't want to write too much about the Silver Squids. Didn't want to trample your setup and reaction to my little gang.
