No offense intended. But there's a sweet spot on the sliding scale of realism, and most of the interest checks I usually see skew too far to the realism end for me.

Can't describe how quickly I go from excited to sad when a mecha premise turns out to be realism wankery.

@Andromedai Appreciate it! Done some researching since I hadn't played much from the 343 era. Should have a sheet done within a day or two.
Cool!
Friend of mine recommended I take a look at this, if you don't mind one more.
Any updates?

Dana, naturally, was ready quite quickly. She had not elected to go back to bed after their lecture, instead beginning to feel out where the articles of mythological war fell on the subject of phosphorus. She was ready to go by the time Rebekah had finished getting dressed.

So when Dana nodded her assent, Bekah pocketed her phone and headed out the door. It wasn't a long trip in the slightest, Jonas resided literally across the hall. Something she hadn't known until they handed out room assignments but had made her smirk almost immediately. Just a small, fleeting, self-satisfied tugging on one side of her lips. Even if she hadn't raised questions at the party last night, she definitely would have quickly. Whiiiich...

That was the first thought to give her just a little bit of pause, her amusement aside. Jonas hadn't actually said anything about the previous night yet. There hadn't been time, though she also knew there was no way that he hadn't noticed. Which could make breakfast something of an experience. Would he comment? Would he leave it be? What would his response be, if he did? Uncertainty was not something she was fond of, but accidentally giving up secret had made uncertain what sort of impact it would have. She shook her head slightly, casting aside the train of thought before she followed it very far. They had already reached the open door to 2A, after all, and there was breakfast to be had.

Anything could be handled as it came up.

"Morning," She said to Rhea and Jonas, with a wider smile than she usually graced others with. "What's for breakfast, Highwind? And is there coffee?"
What sorts of mobile suits we looking at? Definitely interested.

"I don't want either of my grandparents' mind in your body, babe. That's a whole lotta gross."

Ben flashed his second a quick grin, belying the thought he was giving the situation. She was joking, but he could see how unsettled Lauren was. Amy, too, thought that was easier to catch. Made her feathers stand up like she'd touched the third rail. Lauren's chattering teeth could've been the source of the sound almost on their own, but he could hear (and feel) it too. Something thrumming deep in his bones. He wasn't any happier about it than either of them, but they couldn't just walk back out the door and say they didn't find anything.

"Raptor'd have to get its jaws closed first, anyway. You're fine." A few more spins of the problem in his mind. Consider the angles. "Trap can't surprise you if you know it's a trap, Amy. We haven't got much of a choice. Lauren can pick the next mission. She'll send us somewhere fun."

"Down the ramp it is, no way to cut power to a ramp. I'll bring up the front and catch anything on my shield, Amy keep your ears open, Lauren and Sangue can cut the fuck out of anything I have to block. Burgers on me when we get back."
I'd suggest New Desides, personally. Much, much less explored set of antagonists and a more interesting foil to Londo Bell. Though they would either be a very small group, or a group that splintered off from Neo Zeon since the New Desides either died or joined Axis Zeon at the end of Sentinel.

But a group of New Desides and Titans remnants operating their signature machines mixed in with some Zeonic designs would be both plausible and interesting.

Once, in days long past, Rebekah thought Dana's blunt choices of words stemmed from a middling grasp of the language. She knew better now.

Blue eyes rolled just a touch and her mouth quirked up in a faint smile while her fingers deftly plucked the bra out of the air. Dana's remarks didn't get more of a response, beyond an index finger pushing the glasses on her face back up her nose. If she was going to be a brat with them they were at least going to sit right on her face.

But the message was still received. So the Daughter of Athena began to run through her wardrobe, marking the precious seconds with quick corrections to her hair. She had gone through the whole process earlier in the morning, now she just had to undo the slight imperfections that flopping back down in frustration had induced. Then came donning her bra, and by then she had a plan. Contrary to Dana's opinions, she did have clothes that hadn't been purchased second hand. It was just funny to bother her with them. But in the spirit of humoring her and in looking good for breakfast she fished a black v-neck out of her drawers and pulled it on, exchanging her pajama pants for jeans only a few moments later. Shoes for class could wait.

"Come on, if we don't hurry the piranhas will have eaten all of your bother's cooking already." She grinned just a little. "Ready?"
I'm not the guy running it, but you're thinking a little more generic sci-fi than Gundam. By the UC 0090s most combat roles are filled by mobile suit variants. Excepting, of course, infantry applications and ships and some other functions. They even get into the APC role a little with the Loto. There are probably still a few Swordfish around from the One Year War, but in space for certain 'air support', such as it is, is really mostly handled by transformable Waveriders. The ReZel, the Z-Plus, units of that nature.

I remember this from the last time. I might have something but it relies on a friend of mine, so we'll see.
