Bio

Posting and replies will be limited due to my upcoming transplant on the 22nd of June. I apologize to everyone waiting on me in advance.

Suppose I can say a few things about myself.

My name's Josh, I happen to enjoy roleplaying(obviously), a bit of gaming now and then, and watching anime from time to time. I'm typically hanging around here somewhere, or sitting in Chat. If you want to speak to me there, feel free. Wouldn't be opposed to VM's either. You can also add me to Skype if you so wish, I'll put that up at the end. I typically do 1x1 roleplays, though there are group ones I do, provided the plot is interesting enough. Anyways, suppose that's all for now.

@Belle Awesome! Exactly what I expected to see from you, I'm so very happy! Alright, her Rank...Special Operations Instructor.

Wasn't sure if you saw this, so I decided to mark it in case you overlooked the rank I gave her.
And the IC is up, have fun guys.

Cayenne @Shurikai

The Empire. Avenase. This was your home, and these were your people. Armond was your King, and you serve in his army. It wasn't always like this for you though, you once had a life outside the army, one filled with those you loved and cared for deeply. But tragedy struck and you lost everything, thus forcing you to live on the streets. Stealing food and water was all you could do to survive, though it never kept the nightmares away, right? You could never forget. Then you were conscripted, and you no longer thought about the past, only about your training. You rose the ranks quickly, not as quickly as one Lyona Stormrider did, but damn near close to it! You did, however, set the record for the youngest recruit to rise to the rank you have now. Today, a new batch of recruits are inbound to your Division's barracks, all filled with dreams of fame and fortune. You and your commanding officer are going to see to it that those dreams are shattered, you're going to show these pups what reality is like, that it's not all fun and games in the army. Things need to be serious, especially with the threat of war on the horizon.

Cerylia @Fabricant451

"Ice Queen". That's what the soldiers call you, and rightly so. You don't show any emotion, during training, during lessons. You simply drill your charges until they can no longer hold their weapons, then you drill them some more. Being an Elite member requires perfection, and you are the embodiment of that perfection, as you have shown time and again. Despite being from Tormin, Avenase is your home, and these were now your people. Though you know a single fire spell, it has not affected your ability to fight. You are one of the top-notch fighters in the army, next to the Generals and the popular and well known Lyona Stormrider, your rival. Today new recruits are coming into all 86 Division barracks, chances are high you will get some fresh meat.

Alexander @Skelace

General Faet Asharna. This man was ruthless and cruel, he was placed higher than the other Generals, having never lost a single engagement in his career. He knew magic, not just any magic, but black magic. The magic you have desired to learn. However, his magic is artificially created from a device on his wrist. How such a device came to hold powerful magic is unknown, but he has the knowledge on how you can learn such magic. He gives you books, scrolls, anything he can find and give to you on magic. He makes you study every word until it is burned into your memory, then he pushes you even further. The both of you know you have great potential to be a powerful black mage one day, that you will unlock the Goddess Ultima's secrets to the Destruction Aspect of magic, and in turn be elevated to near Godhood. You cannot wait for the day that Tormin will fall in a single casting of a spell, and that you will become the hero of the war, saving countless lives with your magic. For now though, it is a dream, one that you will strive to make come true.

Katherine @Ezmeralda

Your family has served the government for generations, and once Luna Bladedancer was elected, you were hand-chosen by her to serve in the RSG. Your family name held no bearing on this choice, it was simply your unique style of fighting, the Matriarch firmly believing you to be destined for something greater than being a simple mage. Though she had no experienced warriors to call upon to train you, there was, however, a chance given to the ruler that would grant you the training you needed. You have been called into her office, which was a rare thing, as usually her orders came in the form of a message via messenger bird. Today was particularly important, and her orders extremely urgent and very sensitive. Luna set the papers down on her desk, "Commander, I called you here for a reason. As you are aware, we are on the brink of war with Avenase; their ruler Armond having refused to all attempts of reaching peace. For the time being, our best black mages are on the frontlines, protecting Tormin from invasion via airships. However, I know very well that such a defense will not hold forever. In fact, I've been led to believe it may be too late already, we may have been breached. I need you to go to the docks here in Moro Zera and meet with a...unique individual, he will be joining your team as you scout the mountain to the east. He may just be a recruit, but if the information I've been given is correct, he will undoubtedly come in handy out there. Up until you reach your destination, you are in charge. After that, based on his assessment of the situation, he may determine to engage or not." she explained. She pulled a picture from the file on her desk and handed it to the woman, "The man's name is Tyme Ishinara, he's from Avenase." she added before dismissing her.

Tyme & Lyona (The past) @Belle

Tyme sighed, sitting on a log by the lake, which was close to his hometown, Tevarin. He looked over the ring in his hand, the one he had made himself, running a thumb over the etching. It was of a lion jumping through flames, it was his most prized possession, aside from the key he had been given by Azure before she died. The memory of seeing his sister under the tree haunted his mind, his dreams, his memories. The only thing he could do now was to leave, to leave and get stronger, so that he could come back and protect the town. Protect Lyona. All he wanted was to protect her, to make her happy...to live in peace with her in Tevarin. He sighed once again, pushing the thought out of his mind, clutching the ring in his hand. He stared out across the water, Where is she? I asked her to meet me here half an hour ago, she's late. Is she even going to show up? I wouldn't, not after telling her I was leaving last night... he thought, slowly standing. He pocketed his ring, which he had intended to give to Lyona, a promise and a reason to come back. He made his way to the front gate, stopping as he heard his name being called, turning around to see the familiar face of Lyona. "I didn't think you were going to come...I'm glad you did." he said to her.
@Belle Could you go ahead and move Lyona to the Character tab so I can link her in the first post of the OOC, please? Thank you.

@Mistress Dizzy I'm also still waiting for you to put an appearance up. If you can't find one, you could describe it if you wished, I would be fine with that. Otherwise, I can't get your starting point going here.
@Inkd Bull Shhhh, don't let the others hear you. We don't want our cover to be blown.
@ADamnFiddle Your post...I am inspired by it, time to do a little bit of pre-plot setting up.
@ADamnFiddle Hmm, a good question. Well, the direction I want to take with these two might benefit with their relationship starting off in the roleplay as confidants.
Shin sat at the desk in his room, finishing up his studies, as he had repeatedly done since the first day of summer vacation. Deciding to take a break, he stretched and noticed it was raining out, moving to the window and peering out of it. The street below was virtually empty, save for one or two passerbys hurrying to get out of the rain. His eyes moved to the house across the street from him, How long ago was it? he thought, recalling a memory. Sighing, he closed the blinds, he didn't want to think about any of that. He returned to his desk and spotted his Neuro Linker, he had taken it off when he started studying, so he wouldn't get distracted. Picking it up, he put it back on, going through the routine reconnection like usual. He saw a message from his parents, and after reading it, he deleted it. Late again tonight. Figures. he thought. He began to go through his files from the previous school year, deleting several picture files and a couple of other random files he had kept. He finally came across the Brain Burst program, tempted to delete it as well, though decided against it. Letting out another sigh, he decided he needed to find a way to take his mind off things. After connecting back to the internet, he went to the forum he frequented, reading up on a few posts. Once he was finished there, he moved to a different site, his avatar now connecting.

Once he was in, he began to search around, looking at the different hangouts. None of them seemed particularly interesting, then again, they never did. He continued until he found the one he usually hung out at, connecting to it and being greeted by the usual crowd. The hangout appeared to resemble that of a mix between a weapon shop found in most RPG's and a cafe with an open plateau 'outside' the store. The programming was set up so it was usually sunny, this way people could sit out on the plateau and chat. This was one of his favorite places to go, aside from one other place, but that was in the school network. School. Only a few days until it started back up again, of course, he knew what that meant; the girls would be fawning all over him again. Sighing, he took a seat, Why is life so cruel to me? he thought. A message appeared in his inbox, "Hey Shin! It's me! I'm having a great time studying in America! Everything's so different here, the people, the food, even the speech! It's all so much to take in! Anyways, had some time to send a message before bed, hope all is well back home! Hope to hear from you soon! -Yuki" he read. He chuckled a bit, Yuki always had such a positive outlook on life, that's what made her such a great friend. His mind wandered to the previous school year, Yuki had told him that she would be moving with her family to America. Shin had been sad at first, but he got past it and was glad she was having fun overseas.

After sitting around for another hour, he decided to disconnect when nobody was going to show, returning back to the real world. He sighed, the real world. It hurt to be in it, but it hurt even more to be in the accelerated world. At least here he could avoid the cause of his pain, but there? No, he would come across that pain, it was inevitable. He stood, moving to the window and peering out it again, the street now completely deserted. He moved away from it and left his room, heading downstairs to make something to eat. After making himself a sandwich, he received another message, it was from one of his fans. He opened the message and read it, apparently there was a small group holding out hope that he'd return, and the fan had just been accepted as a member of the club. Shin smiled a bit, it was nice to hear he was missed and still popular among some people, but it wasn't enough to get him to go back. He doubted anything would get him to return.
@ADamnFiddle I'm like that sometimes. If I'm really into what I'm typing, I can create quite a number of paragraphs.
Murasame felt scared for the first time since the day Armond had saved her, a feeling she wished she'd never feel again, but such as was not her fate. She squeezed her eyes shut, expecting one of the men to grab her at any moment. However, the sound of someone sliding to a stop next to her caused her to open them again. Looking to her side, she saw the familiar form of the guradswoman, Veragwen. Moments later she was joined by two other boys, one of whom she had recognized from the stand earlier. They were both willing to defend her, a complete stranger, from this group of thugs. Murasame moved back a little, sensing the tension building between the two sides. Most of the group had backed off, not wishing to find themselves in the dungeon, let alone on the receiving end of the woman's blade. Three men, however, weren't intimidated in the least. One happened to be the leader of the group, the other two just lackeys. "You don't scare me, girl!" the leader said, lunging at Veragwen with his sword. The other two turned to Kest, one wielding a rapier, the other a dagger. The one with the dagger swung first, attempting to slash Kest's midsection, while the one with the rapier timed his thrusts to prevent a counter attack on his comrade.

It was here that Murasame realized just how helpless she really was; there two people were outnumbered and still fighting to protect her despite that. Why am I so useless to everyone? I can't use a weapon...I don't know how to fight...and I rely too much on other people...I'm worthless...why does Lord Armond even keep me around? she thought to herself. She watched as Kest was starting to get worn out, it was likely the duo attacking him would prevail and kill the boy. No. Stop it. she thought. She felt tears stinging her eyes, "Stop it." she said quietly, though no one could hear her. "Stop it!" she said, a little louder. Still the fighting continued, her voice not reaching them. She felt her anger rise, "STOP IT!" she screamed. In that moment, her voice was amplified and it spread out like a shockwave, all those in the immediate area affected by the sound. Everyone had to cover their ears, the sound of her voice strong enough to rupture eardrums. After the shockwave dissipated, another person had shown up, having heard the scream. "Just what do you think you are doing to my maid?" Armond asked those gathered. He looked between the groups, piecing together what had transpired, pointing at the three disarmed men, "I want these three locked up." he said.

He moved to Murasame, "Are you alright, Murasame?" he asked. The woman nodded, "Thanks to them, yes." she replied, motioning to Kest and Vera. He turned to them, noticing Kest and approaching him, "You have my most sincere gratitude, young man, I don't know what I would have done if I lost Murasame. She is not only my maid, but she is a very dear and valuable friend to me." he told the boy. He looked at Veragwen next, "As usual, Lady Veragwen, I am once again in your debt for protecting Murasame. I do apologize if we've caused you any inconvenience, and I will pay for any damages that she may have caused as a result of her unique talent." he said, bowing in apology to her. Murasame followed his lead, though her eyes were on Kest; he was the reason she lost control in the first place, but why?
