Bio

Posting and replies will be limited due to my upcoming transplant on the 22nd of June. I apologize to everyone waiting on me in advance.

Suppose I can say a few things about myself.

My name's Josh, I happen to enjoy roleplaying(obviously), a bit of gaming now and then, and watching anime from time to time. I'm typically hanging around here somewhere, or sitting in Chat. If you want to speak to me there, feel free. Wouldn't be opposed to VM's either. You can also add me to Skype if you so wish, I'll put that up at the end. I typically do 1x1 roleplays, though there are group ones I do, provided the plot is interesting enough. Anyways, suppose that's all for now.

Dar had had just finished making the adjustments to the new schedule when his phone went off, picking it up and answering it, "Dar Knight, who am I speaking with?" he asked. When he heard who was on the other end, he began to write down instructions he was given, not understanding all of them right away. "Wait a second, let me get this straight...we're...moving? All of us? To this new island? Then...what will happen to the Academy here?" he asked. He was confused by all of this, however, he knew if Lady Violetta said to do something, there was always a reason behind it. He rubbed his forehead, "No, no, I understand. I'll make sure to let everyone know. We'll see you soon. Until then, Lady Violetta." he said before hanging up. He sighed before accessing the schoolwide PA system, "This is Dar Knight, temporary Headmaster of the academy. As of this moment, everyone here is to pack up everything and make their way outside the Academy. We are all moving to another island, as per Lady Violetta's orders. That is all." he said, cutting the PA system. He sighed once more, I sure hope you know what you're doing out there, Lady Violetta. he thought as he made his way to his floor.
How long have I been doing this? Long before BKS came to exist. Back when the Bots were simpler, more easily managed, I was a solitary sniper out there, protecting Guild City. Sure, there were others, but they were amateurs at this. They didn't see the horrors of Guildfall, the empty abyss...I lost part of myself that day, a part I will never get back. I remember taking on a couple of Bots, I had run out of rounds and I was weak from using ice magic beforehand, so I resigned myself to my fate. I was ready to die there. But then she came, Commander Kurai, she gave me a third chance at life. Ever since that day, I have followed her faithfully, my loyalty never swaying. I was there when BKS was formed by her, I was there when the citizens jeered at her and called her insane. They laughed, but we knew the truth, we both knew what was coming long before anyone else did. We saw the war that was about to erupt in our very city. Now? Now there is no laughter from those naysayers, now they beg us for help, they plead. Were Commander Kurai any ordinary person, she would have likely turned her backs on them and let them suffer. But she wasn't that kind of person, she had honor, and that is why I remain loyal to her and BKS. Why do I do this? The answer is simple, there is someone in this city I want to protect more than anything else in this world. I do this to ensure she stays safe.

Krinos had listened to the Commander's speech, his large sniper rifle strapped to his back, longsword on his hip. It was four hours into the initial wave, and reports had come in from all over the place, even he himself had been out there when it all began. He had been out on routine patrol in Introductions when he spotted a large force that seemed to be moving through the area, upon engaging, he had come to learn that these Bots were not the typical ones BKS had been dealing with beforehand. They were far worse. He came back to the present when the orders were given out, following the Commander to VTOL-Chrome One, waiting until every soldier was on before he climbed in. He folded his wings and took his usual position on one knee, unslinging his rifle and holding it in his clawed hands, prepared to scope the dropzone once they arrived. "Soldiers, listen up! Don't underestimate these soulless bastards, they are not like the ones we've handled before, they are more advanced. They move in groups and their armor is thicker than normal, they also seem to have a sort of hivemind to them, they react to what their visual scanners and audio receptacles pick up. If you find a stray one, do not kill it! It's death will give your location away, and the group it's linked with will come at you with full force. You. Will. Not. Survive. Remember to work together with your squads, use your strengths to cover another comrade's weakness. As planned, I will find a suitable location in which to provide all squads with support fire when necessary, so don't be foolish and try to play hero out there. Play it safe, come back alive. You have someone or something to protect? Think of whatever or whoever it is before you act. That's all I have to say." he said.

He looked at the Commander and nodded silently, his mind wandering once more to her. He prayed she was safe, sitting in her house, away from all of this. He refused to let those machines anywhere near her, he would kill them all, end this war here and now before it consumed the whole city. I hope you are safe, my love, and that you are not in danger. I swear, once this war is over, I will return home to you once again. So please, please, don't let yourself be killed while I am gone. he thought to himself. Krinos kept his emotions from ever showing on the outside, he was almost similar to the Bots in a way, or at least, that's what most people would see him as. And he let those people assume as much, never telling them otherwise. His mind snapped back to the present again, "I believe we're approaching Dropzone One, Commander." he said, looking out at the ruins of the wall. This sight didn't even phase the hybrid dragon, he had seen far worse in the earlier hours of the assault. He stood, moving with the first squad, looking back at the Commander. "Take care of yourself out there, Commander." he said before jumping from the aircraft.

He landed with his squad, "Alright Charlie Team, our job is to provide overwatch for the other squads. Our destination is there." he motioned with his rifle to the half damaged tower east of their position. Without further delay, they moved forward towards the tower, not coming across and Bots so far. However, that changed when the base of the tower came into range, there appeared to be a small group guarding the entrance. "Shit, seems like those bastards have the same idea. We need to clear them out before the other squads are discovered out there! You two, take the right, and you two take the left. I'll provide cover. On my mark..." he waited until they were in position before slowly turning around the corner with his rifle aimed to peek at one of the Bots. "Engage!" he ordered. The two teams moved up the sides of the ruined buildings, eventually reaching the ends and firing at the machines, Krinos laying down support fire and picking off vulnerable targets. Midway through the engagement, he caught a flicker of movement on the tower's top floor, causing him to raise his rifle. "Sniper! Everyone get to cover, now!" he shouted, retreating back around his corner. He swore under his breath, "Stay in cover, I'm going to try and take it out!" he shouted. The remaining Bots were now putting pressure on his squad, forcing them to fall further back. He lowered himself into a prone position and slowly moved out around the corner, aiming up at the tower. He grinned, the Sniper Bot seemed distracted by one of the two groups, allowing Krinos the chance to end it with a well placed shot.

Once the Sniper was down, he helped to eliminate the rest of the Bots, regrouping with the rest of his squad. One of the men was supporting another who had been fatally wounded, "Sniper got him when we were falling back, there was nothing I could do for him." he said as he carefully set the soldier down. Krinos looked down at the dying man, "You fought bravely, Soldier. Your death will not be in vain, now go, rest. You've earned it." the hybrid said. Once the soldier passed, Krinos looked at the tower before holding a hand out, "Give me the comm device." he ordered. Soon enough, a soldier handed him a special comm device made especially for him, "Charlie Team to Commander Kurai, we've reached the base of the tower. Unfortunately, our friends were here before us. We engaged them and cleared them out, however, we lost a soldier in the fight. Proceeding to our objective point now, Charlie Team out." he said. He looked at the remaining men and led them up the tower, reaching the top. Krinos moved to the sniper and looked at it before kicking it off the edge of the tower and to the ground below, Damn soulless machines. he thought as he began to hunker down and provide overwatch. "Squad Three, there's a group headed your way, I'd suggest an ambush from the buildings behind you. Use the second floor for cover, heavy gunner, sit on the first and wait for your comrades to open fire. Once they do and lure the Bots into the open...tear the shit out of them." he said.

The Imperial Commander spotted the girl racing along the plains from the path that had led above them, "Stop the girl! Don't let her warn any soldiers!" Doshiro ordered his men. Several of them gave pursuit, one wearing a bracelet. This one was able to cast a spell on himself to keep up with the woman, eventually firing several shards of ice at her while they both ran. The ice was likely to attract attention of those around them, more specifically, the travelling warrior with a gunblade. The soldier glanced at him as he flew by at blinding speed, firing off several rounds of ice at the male, though intentionally missing him. In a few minutes, it was revealed why the first soldier didn't stop to engage him, his comrades had decided to do it. The pair were wielding different weapons, the one with blue tinted armor held a sword and shield. The one in nothing but standard Imperial armor wielded a greatsword, both of the soldiers clearly a mismatch in this situation. However, that was the point, they were meant to be underestimated. It was the one with the greatsword that attacked first, intending to use his weapon to distract his opponent long enough for his partner to flank Zoran. The first soldier continued his chase of the woman, though starting to fall behind as his spell was wearing off, giving her the distinct advantage of being able to reach the troops before he'd be able to catch up or cast the spell again.

Luna listened to Kessig as her eyes closed, the man was right, he always was. If people died, it wasn't because she failed as a leader, it was because these people believed so strongly in her that they would gladly give their lives up. She let out a soft sigh, where would she be without this amazing man to keep her on track? Probably with the rest of her family. When he lifted her chin, her eyes opened, the words he spoke striking deep within her soul. God how she loved this man, he was perfect, in every sense of the word. He must have picked up on her thoughts, because after he had spoken of Shirok, he offered to help her forget the world for awhile. The offer was tempting, and she wanted to just forget she was the Matriarch, and that Kessig was a soldier. She stood and moved to the door, locking it before returning back to the male, finally allowing herself to become a person. Right now, she was Luna, a woman who wanted to enjoy the comfort and company of the man she loved so dearly. "Kessig, I don't know what I'd do without you...I wish we could be open about our relationship, but we can't...and it bothers me a great deal. How can you deal with it? How come you're always so calm when I look at you?" she asked, staring up at him with her purple eyes.

While Cayenne was teaching the recruits about how things worked, a man watched from a distance, observing his teaching methods. The man's armor appeared much like a General's, though it was tinted red to indicate he was a General who worked within a specific area of the castle, namely, the airship yard. What was this man doing so far out here? Who knew. Once Cayenne had finished explaining to the greenhorns how things were run, and how they needed to work as a team, he approached. "A very good point, Lieutenant-Commander, it is important to work together as a unit. Especially out on the battlefield." the man agreed. He raised a hand, "At ease, I'm not particularly fond of such formalities, despite my rank." he added when the recruits started to snap to attention. His head returned to Cayenne, "You're probably wondering why I'm here, much less outside the castle, yes? I have come for you, Lieutenant-Commander of the 74th Armored Division...wait, that's not right, now is it? You just got promoted, so I guess I should be calling you Commander of the 1st Airborne Division." he explained. He motioned to the messenger who was just entering the 74th Armored Division's barracks, "I believe that's the messenger holding your promotion notice, so it's official now. You are now Commander of our first ever airship division, and just in time, as the new airships were finished construction this morning. Would you like to see what your ship looks like?" he asked.

Katherine's question to him wasn't as simple to answer as they both would like it to be, "It's not that I avoid answering your questions, Commander...it's just, I don't know the answers to most of them. If you were to ask me my name, of course I'd know it; but asking me who I am...as simple a question as it is, I just don't have the answer. I don't even know who I am." he replied. "That aside, no, it cannot explode on it's own. There are only three ways to remove the device safely, two of those ways are across the ocean, back in Avenase. I don't know about him, but I certainly have no intention of ever going back there. The third wa-" he was cut off when he heard screeching, causing his head to turn with several other soldiers to locate the noise. Tyme was the first to spot the faint orange glow coming from what appeared to be a tribeswoman, approaching them while waving her hands. When she finally started speaking Common, he took what words she was shouting and came to his own conclusion, "I am sorry, Commander, but I cannot wait for your orders. If I do, this woman will die. Make sure to get the everyone ready, I have a bad feeling about all this..." he said before tracing a symbol in the air. As it shattered, the male was covered in the same orange glow as the woman was, though he took off at full speed toward her. As he ran, he drew his gunblade and came to a stop as she passed him, "Continue to the soldiers, they'll protect you!" he called.

He stood there for a few moments, waiting for whatever she was running from to appear, finally spotting an Imperial wearing a bracelet. Tyme reacted quickly, rushing forward to meet his opponent, though the soldier had been ready for that. His sword had been drawn the moment he spotted Tyme, allowing him to block against the attack at his midsection. The two turned to face each other, sizing one another up. The soldier thrust his hand forward, ice shooting out at Tyme, who sighed and raised his gunblade, the barrel already fully spinning. "Predictable, as all you Imperials are." he said, pulling the trigger. Blood red bullets shot from the chambers as the revolver stopped, each one exploding into fireballs, most hitting the oncoming ice, while the rest hit the soldier. It was clear the soldier wasn't expecting the counter attack, catching fire and trying to put it out. Suddenly, Azure was protruding through the man's chest as the fire faded, "Y-you're...a monster..." he said, struggling to breathe. A memory flashed for a moment in front of Tyme's eyes, "Monster...monster...? Yes...yes, I was called that once. The Monster. Thank you for helping me to remember, now, you can go to hell as your reward." he whispered evilly, slowly pulling the gunblade from the soldier's chest. His blue eyes were no longer there, they were replaced by a black color. He cast Fire on the soldier's body, watching with glee as the body burned away to nothing more than ash. Once the body was gone, Tyme returned back to normal, Not again... he thought, staring down at the ashes.

He returned the gunblade to it's holster, hearing it fold as he did so. His eyes came across the bracelet, "The third option is death." he told Katherine when the soldiers arrived. He lifted his head and looked at Nitire, "I'm sure you would rather not take that option." he commented. He turned from the ashes and to the woman, moving past the soldiers and up to her, examining her clothing and other things she carried. His eyes studied her carefully, "May the Goddess Eden forever favor you, Tribeswoman. I am glad she was able to bring you to our care safely and unharmed. Now tell me, what were you running from?" he asked. Before he had a chance to hear her answer, he heard it, the sound of metal scraping metal. He slowly stood and pushed the dumbstruck soldiers from his view, coming to a stop beside Katherine, his eyes wide in horror. "It...can't be! I thought they said they weren't able to make a working one for another few years..." he said before taking a step forward and shaking his head. He looked back at Katherine, "We need to stop that thing before Moro Zera gets into firing range...if we don't...then this war will be over before it has even begun." he said to her, a glint of seriousness in his eyes.
