@Member 00492 If it helps I could rewrite Gloria's bio with a bit more style and flow. All most relevant the information is there but it reads a bit rushed and jumpy.
@Prince of Seraphs I THINK it's supposed to be mostly an amalgam of anything you can think of. You can just incorporate events in that pertain to your character and that don't conflict with other's or the main plot though I'm not certain about this. That's what I've always done for KL's rps.

That's not really the problem. My character is an adaptation of the daughter of Shadowcat for a next generation X-Men RP, as such she's largely an OC unaffiliated with any existing DC characters or events.

The problem is that most of the superhero stuff that happens in comics or on screen make a significant impact on society and as such would be common knowledge. Operating in the Beyond time frame makes it easier because largely the rest of the DCU is about thirty years in the past but that still leaves the question how much of the DCAU and DCU happened and as such can be referenced in the RP.
But yeah, I'm gonna take bits from here and there and try to just make the most entertaining long term RP I possibly can.

So what can be considered canon if we're only sort of using the DCAU?

That wasn't the question. The question was "when have you ever seen a court of law depicted realistically in a superhero genre work." Of course it's altered for entertainment value and time constraint, but that wasn't the point that I brought up. You can't have your cake and eat it too. :P And it's for those exact same reasons that applying a more realistic take on court proceedings (particularly in the manner of Paxton Powers) would be unfeasible in a RP as well. I mean, unless we want to either time skip several months at a time, or it's left hanging in the background for multiple story arcs until we finally come back to it.

Yes but we're talking about the initial time frame of the RP in which a timeskip has already been implied so there is no reason why it wouldn't work from a realistic perspective or a story one.
Oh there was some talk about how old Matt McGinnis was when he died. I did some more research:

In the Justice League episode "Epilogue" Terry is 31 when he confronts Amanda Waller about being the biological son of Bruce Wayne. Since we know that Matt is eight or nine years his brother's junior and in this RP he took on the mantle of Robin after learning about his brother's secret identity and his biological heritage Matt had to have been at least 22 when he became Robin and assuming the Titans were only a loose team for a couple months before his murder then he was also that age when he died. This is flexible by about a year, maybe two since we only have a rough estimate of Matt's age compared to Terry's.

Another question though, what's the time gap between Matt's death and the start of the RP? It mentions that Batman took down both Inque and Paxton Powers who is now in prison and given how long court proceedings can be drawn out (especially with a rich defendant) are we looking at a couple of months or like a year? I'm just wondering how well the team would be acquainted with one another and we'd also have to make allowances for that time in the age of our characters.
@FiroIV My guess is no. People tend to unconsciously prepare themselves for what they know is coming even if they're not supposed to so it's probably best kept a secret. An educated guess tells me that Inque will be serving as a main villain though. It's the reason we're not allowed ice manipulation powers, they effectively negate her as a threat.
And yes I'm male, but a better question is why is my gender relevant?

It's not really important, I just won bet with a friend.
@ProPro Bart Allen is the son of a Thawne and an Allen? But isn't the Thawne's ancestor, Cobalt Blue, Barry Allen's twin brother? Wouldn't that make Bart's parents, what, second cousins?

On a completely unrelated note are you a guy?
@Member 00492 What's the deadline for CSes?
There's plenty of time for anybody who's just seeing the iCheck. One weekend wasn't enough time to really push it and of the CS's there's only one I've seen that was a sure thing [aside from the other Wonder Twin] in the thread and another in the PM's I've received. I was hopeful for a couple more unfinished CS's early on but they never got finished so here we are...

What are the odds that one is mine? And would it help if I expanded the backstory? I didn't put everything in their cause I got the impression you wanted some things saved for reveal in the IC.
