Bio

Hello! I'm LadyRunic! But you knew that...

I love most types of Role Play, but by far my favorites are those that are well thought out and worked with. Especially when you can find a group you can work well with. I love books- So many books. It's a running bet that I will become buried under a pile of said objects one day... I'm a tad busy, and when an Rp really catches my interest I'm inpatient for posts. It's like reading a good book and getting stuck on a cliff hanger.

You can generally expect posts regularly once a week if not more.

I've RP'd for the better part of fourteen years, so I can honestly say I have some experience and I've developed the understanding of what I expect of a partner in a one-on-one or a group. I'm also the sort who will speak up and point out something if it looks off or forms a problem to me. I spent most of a year once stuck in a Voice Chat Rp that was hell on Earth, so I'm straight forward when I need to say something. I expect this in return from my Rpers and DMs. I want to improve my writing and love constructive criticism.

Richard Laine

Location Stark Tower

As Marygold took several deep breathes, Richard stiffened in wary apprehension. It was never a good thing when the leader of a group was showing signs of nervousness. Oh, it was expected that they would be human. But on some level, as a leader of a group you had to shut down that fear lest it corrupt and unnerve the rest. It was a tactic he had used more than once in his former occupation. It didn't help she had given a moot point with the retirement bit. There was no such thing. He had 'retired' from being the killer he was trained as, but the skills and the will still resided within him. More so than his sister who was so eager for the politician's death. While he was irked at her from bringing it up so bluntly. She had a point and more than that- she had never said his death would be hers to claim.

At least she was leaving the killing to the professional in the family. His fingers tapped out an idle pattern on a chair as he sunk into it. Yet with all the positions they were talking about, Richard felt they were missing one. There was another option aside from attacking or defend and he considered it riskier. Yet the pay out was greater. Why not simply lure out Jakobson? Give him a opportunity too good for him not to set his Sentinels on? His men? An 'innocent' suddenly set upon by these forces that were obviously danger and not of X-men origins. The X-Men coming in to drive them off, not decreeing it was Jakobsen but a little plant here and there... Rumors were a mill wheel that never stopped turning.

But Richard remained silent. Patiently biding his time. He was necessarily liked and both Marygold and the daughter of their host had a problem with him. Thus it was perhaps best he not decree that they needed to step away from the problem and take a solid period of time to clear the battle from their heads. No one here was thinking clearly. Save perhaps Charlie. The man's lips quirked as the flame-on brat criticized them all for exactly what Richard was thinking. Giving Charlie a sharp nod of agreement. Richard almost missed his sister jolt forward.

Ayita Dyrkin

Location Stark Tower

Ayita listened to the chatter in interest behind a politely blank mask. She doubted she would be of any use against those Sentinels. While she could take on a man, her powers lent her stealth. Better put to the profession Richard had been tutoring her in. More of a self defense against it. A way to disappear into the civilizations of the world. He hadn't technically done it to teach her to become what he was. Alas, years of hunting for one's food and avoiding humans made stealth a required tool that was honed very sharply. Spying Allison, Ayita stood sharply from leaning against the wall. Naked relief upon her face that her friend was alright.

"Thank goodness. You are alright." The words were not said but mental relief flowed from Ayita limited telepathy to the woman who she had relinquished into the care of Banner. But her eyes became furious as Folly stamped on Allison foot. Words were one thing. But a physical attack? Moving forward, Ayita seized the woman's upper arm in a bruising grip. "You are upset." The words were stated out in the too soft voice, lacking the growl she usually had when agitated. "You are not the only one. This bastard has attacked us all and would kill, if not imprison. You do his work for him by snapping at a member of your pack when they were asked to speak their mind." The bump Ayita gave the woman as she knocked her aside moving towards Allison.

"I do not care for when a hunter is upon my trail. I care less for when someone threatens my friend." Ayita let a loose a snarl. "Do not give me a reason to see you as I see this Jakobson. He would see us all dead for no reason than being what we are. He had the aid of the-" Ayita groped for the word. "-humans? Then he has a very strong advantage. But he will suspect a trap if we speak to him and we will suspect a trap. He wants us to attack. To prove the bear is vicious, you must first beat it. The bear will prove it's horrid nature, nevermind it was merely trying to defend itself." The woman's amber eyes flickered with something close to embarrassment, but it was a true fact. Bear baiting, she had read about it in those times when she cloistered herself away from everyone. "Why let him prove our viciousness if we attack him? Let him show his own vicious side in front of all the world. Against children. 'There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children.'" Gesturing towards Guin and Tony the shifter paused by Allison. "Internet spans the world does it not? And it cannot ever be fully forgotten?" She was out of her depth and territory here but fighting was best avoided and defending was worse. So why not bait and lure a trap? A arm moving about Allison in a half hug as she glowered at Folly.

Richard raised a eyebrow. So that explained all the off searches in his history...
Hope that post works.
Alice slipped through the crowd. One face of panic among many as she slipped through a breach in the mingling crowd of onlookers and the fleeing dancers. Pulling her mask from her face as she slipped down an alley, Alice swiped at the tears that carved trails down the dark makeup that had made her eyes gleam a brighter green than normal. Pulling and tucking her dress about she adjusted it to look more akin to a club goer- albeit one that was horrible out of fashion. Her heels claked along the cement and through the trash of New York City as she made her way not towards the flat she was sheltering at with Liza, but to her shop. She would need a disguise to get back to Liza's. This dress would only raise questions if people saw her.

Snatching the rats she came across, Alice broke their necks before she fed upon them. Reminding herself to get a thorough shower when she reached a place of safety. She was careful and moved quickly through the city. Reaching her shop just as the night was in the wee hours of morn. Leaving her just enough time to get some gear then make it to Liza's if she booked it. The Timeless looked abandoned, and Alice's heart broke at the sight. But as she scaled a fire escape behind the building in the alley when so many of her neighbors and herself set their trash, the raven haired tailor reached her little entrance. It was window that was locked not from the inside, but the outside. A little accident of hers when she had moved in and tried to install the security herself. Having fished the key from a brick that could be pulled out of the wall down by the door, Alice fitted it into the lock and opened the pane that squealed in protest. Wincing, she eased into the dark forays of her loft- and store room. Bolts of cloth sitting there untouched. Her hand trailed over them as she whimpered softly. Thinking of all the lovely things she could make- and never would again. It hurt. Her heart felt like it was being pulled asunder.

Moving quickly down towards her living area, Alice thought better of it and made her way to a rack of winter clothing that was outdated. She hadn't exactly grown in these past years, so while they were outdated they would fit. Shedding her ball gown, and slipping into a dark knee length skirt and dark blue button up blouse. The buttons dull brass and the matching thick woolen hose of the outfit shot through with thin stripes of golden thread. Pulling a old hoodie from another box, she shoved it over her head and the gown she had hastily made days before into a tote bag, along with several other bits of old clothes. Lifting a few boxes out of the way, the vampiress wrested with a tiny safe's combination lock before it popped open. A small stash of money sitting inside which she took. It wasn't like her larger safe in her workroom, but this was a hidden fund she had stored away. A backup's backup just incase her father schemed up something. The amount wasn't much, but it would allow her to buy a few bolts of cloth and some thread. Enough to make a few things to sell and get more material. Just what she needed. Satisfied with herself, Alice moved for the window and locked it behind her as she moved at a quick trot towards Liza's little flat pulling her hood up as she moved. Desperate to reach 'safety' before the sun was too high and before Liza became worried.
@Mister Thirteen No, it's just a heat wave that's drained me. Once the sun goes down and it cools off I'll get a post up.
My reply is coming! I'm just having some trouble with it. Don't worry though, it will be up tonight.

Rhys Asher

Location: The Palace

Rhys mussed over his options. He was eager to be gone from this scene. Seeing no reason for himself to be put at risk because the Port Coven had done such a foolish thing, but it was tempting. Tempting that they might be inclined to owing him something. Fleur's good will was not something he would toss aside. "My dear, I have a 'spare' room. One that you might use for your little amusement." His body leaned against the wall as he decided to see how this played out. If it came down to it he could slip away one way or another. A little word here and there. The rogue wizard smirked silently.

[color=Gold]"Might be interesting to take me up on the offer, just in case they do decide to raid you and set your beautiful home ablaze." He smiled with a cruel glee. "Just think of them rushing in, finding no princess. Only innocent witches who fled in panic of what happened to their safe home? My dear Fleur they'd never look in my direction and if they did..." Rhys chuckled darkly. Let them look and see what could have been! If only Blaize had not been blind when he took Arya as his ExtraOrdinary Wizard's Apprentice.
The early morning sea was a beautiful thing even with the chill of water that seeped over the wooden planks of the ship. The pursuit had been utterly annoying though in Ryssa's opinion. The 'man' busying herself with checking the spear at her side and sword at her hip. Neither were in the best of shape due to salt and having started out second hand, but they weren't going to break under anything unless it was a elephant's foot. Their oars had turned out to be a gods' send as they were gaining on the cursed merchant ship. Thus Ryssa was leaning against a rail, considering if swimming would be faster when a hand clamped down on her shoulder.

It seemed Epiz had annoyed their captain, which Ryssa considered a justified version of divine intervention. If the man wasn't so curious, Ryssa would have been fine with him. But he was a risk and thus why she was cursing her need for a ship that was possibly heading to Egypt. "I am hardly a baby goat or a child." The supposed man growled in a rough voice, shrugging off the hand with a irritated movement. "And do not sneak upon me like that else I take exception." Staring off over the waves that swelled and broke about them. The gulls overhead that swore back and forth amongst themselves. "It's just a fight like any other." Her first battle, and at sea! Ryssa was terrified, but she wasn't going to back down. She couldn't. The gold from this could fill her pockets a little more and get her passage to her mother's homeland. "Just against merchants with pockets perhaps deep enough to hire someone worthwhile."
