Wait, that's what's taking you so long? That's funny.

You don't need to do that dude.

@Negatomsk
Alright, so. I'm gonna accept it. But make sure your abilities have obvious tells, this character has a strong kit that isn't as broken as it could be. The one thing that I can really say will help balance this, is obvious tells of what's happening with your character's abilities.

As long as you're okay with that, the character's okay with me.

Though no Hard Drive 2.0. :v
@Rilla
I would correct you and say that I was the biggest cuntwaffle this side of the Mississippi. But I don't know which side of Mississippi you're on.
@MelonHead
Words of wisdom from a panda, that's a new one for me.
@Alphakoka
One at a time, since he can realistically only wear one suit.

This is a hole that he would shove folks into with no real limit on how many can fit. Since it's hell, I can safely say infinite.
@Negatomsk
I put off reviewing this character sheet because I didn't want to be "that guy" y'know. I didn't want to come back and just be the negative nancy, but I really can't put it off anymore.

Misc Info: Great.

Appearance: Love it.

Personality: Fantastic.

Powers:
. . .

Man I'm just trying to work with you and not be an asshole, but you're making this real hard on me. I really am trying to work with you, but somehow you've posted a character that defies even more of the basic rules of the roleplay.

Okay, so I'm gonna lay this down politely and logically so I don't upset anyone.

The biggest and most problematic feature of this character sheet, from the first power and the first power alone.

Gateway.
This roleplay is segregated from the rest of the multiverse, I wanted to prevent any galaxy spanning empires from appearing and being a strange threat. I wanted to keep this roleplay small, compact, and having only the characters and their connected characters involved in this. It's to keep the scale of the roleplay simple so people aren't feeling disconnected from the other characters. Every character in this roleplay is contained within the confines of this plane, and a power that defies that is problematic.

If this weren't a gateway, and were literally just a digitized portion of hell, I would be okay with this. But as you stated in the sheet. It outright states that it bridges this plane of existence to the Hell. Which is not withstanding in this setting.

If I weren't trying to maintain a set of rules for everyone including myself, I wouldn't bring it up at all. But the rules apply to everyone uniformly, so giving even one allowance of severance from the rules would make the rules meaningless in the first place.

If you make it a duplicate portion of hell, I can accept it. But it CANNOT be a portal to hell.

That's just the first power, there's several more of these to go through. I suppose to clear everything up, I'll have to go through and review every one of these so they don't come into question later.

Hellectricity.

First of all, your naming conventions are solid gold. A+ work, gotta give you that.

But there's only one small problem with Hellectricity.

Repairing himself?

To what degree?

I need upper limits. Becuase if he can just auto repair himself at the cost of "Being Tired." I can't accept that.

Hellfire.

Like fire.

Hellfire.

I gotta be honest, I would be a hypocrite if I didn't let a character who used flame be immune to flame. Especially since it's not constant. So I have no major complaints about this, there's no range but we're all pretty competent people, we understand how it works.

Sin.
I cannot in any way accept this. I hate being blunt about stuff like this, but with literally no description of what Hell Magic is, I can't in good conscience accept this.

Corruption.
I've got an android who would like to say hello. I can't say no to this, especially since it's a non-combative power with very little utility in this setting.

Continuance.
"Fused with a Nigh-Indestructable gate."

"Is likewise incredibly durable."

You're saying that he's Nigh-Indestructable. That's beyond high tier in scope, Nigh-indestructable and indestructable are reserved for objects, not people. Otherwise every high tier character would need an extinction level asteroid dropping on their head to kill them.

I don't know if that's what you mean, but Nigh-Indestructable doesn't have much wiggle room in the term of definition.

Conversion.
How does it enhance the abilities of the weapon? Just makes them better? Adds effects to them? I need specifics here.

Consolidation.
Consuming your enemies, gaining their powers and knowledge? I cannot accept this in good faith.

Creation.
Standard hammerspace, I can accept this.

Conveyance.
Teleportation is above high tier, especially instantaneous teleportation. I cannot accept this as it stands.

Pure Violence.
Standard special fighting style.

Hard Drive.
Acceptable as is.

Hard Drive 2.0.
This is a contained roleplay, a vehicle that is used for space travel is redundant and I think you can understand him not bringing it with him.

This is as polite and simple as I can possibly make it, I'm not trying to be an asshole, I'm not being rude. I'm being honest and contained within the rules and setting that is laid out.
@ImportantNobody
AYE, THAT WAS ME :V

Gigliotti the Noodle Knight, and I loaned Braud Wurst the Meat Mage to Thebiddz.

We entered during Craptonofgames's reign of shit decision making.

I'm a deal with important stuff in the morning, right now I can barely type my arms are so tired.
@Negatomsk
I get that, I HAVE that kind of character. His name is Might.Here's his sheet.

But there's one distinct difference.

Might gets weaker against weak opponents.

Blythe doesn't.

Blythe's baseline is higher than most mid tiers, if you had to chop her down to make her fit for this particular setting I'm loathe to wonder what her actual ability IS. Honestly, I'm not being a dick here am I?

The powerset isn't broken in and of itself, it's just that the rules of engagement that are laid down for EVERYONE, are totally defied by this particular powerset. It's an unfortunate side effect of trying to make a system that includes everyone.

Because you can't.

Because it's impossible to create a setting where everything is fair and just.

I like Blythe, I really do, but without an upper and lower limit to her abilities. She's broken in this setting.

I'm sorry if this comes off as rude, but to be honest you're being rude too.
@Doc Doctor
I have not forgotten this roleplay, I will be posting in the morning or afternoon.
@Negatomsk
I never once added anything to the sheet, I read exactly what was written.

But neither did I say that it was intrinsically broken.

In fact.

I said the exact opposite.

The powers themselves are good, I just need an upper limit. Because she totally dunks on the concept of upscaling your fights.

What am I talking about?

I made this rule of engagement.

If you are a lower tiered character, you can fight a higher tier character with a teammate.

Well.

The big fucking problem with her particular powerset is that her base strength already trumps most mid tiers and most upper mid tiers.

If she fights multiple mid tiers, she's automatically equally as good as the pair of them combined. To put the icing on the cake?

She can become stronger, faster, and more durable than them in an instant. Why? Her burst mode.

Burst modes are okay in a setting where they are common. They also generally have drawbacks, the best of them generally kill them.

Fury's burst mode eats himself.

Kanitah's puts too much strain on his heart. (Though this isn't listed, after a dozen turns his heart stops.)

But Blythe's doesn't have that, and that too is a problem.

I know I'm gradually picking your sheets apart, both Blythe and Alex, but I'm not trying to be rude. I'm trying to be fair to the other players. Just because your group is okay with this tier, but I know for a fact the majority of the standing community avoids it like the plague.

I love high tier, and I'd fight literally any one of your characters in a slugfest with my high tier characters any day of the week. But this isn't just MY roleplay. This is OUR roleplay.
@MelonHead

Your character is pretty goddamn OP, what with the whole immediately killing anything he touches, "amplifying his force", and having unlimited energy. (He totally does, don't even try and deny it at this point.) He's got the ability to shoot lasers, accompanied with a list 2 miles long. And to top it off, ridiculous strength whenever he touches a character. (Which with super speed and ridiculous speed, he always does. Surprise.)

I remember that post from the old arena. Dragqueen got real mad at you. He joined the RP since he was my friend, but he got mad once he realized that he wasn't in the same weight class as you and I. Love Drag to death, but he got real salty real fast. He got salty at both you and @GreivousKhan for no good reason.

Good times.

I think the old Arena was literally cursed, because that was countless hours of arguments.

It was literally the human condition in its most bared form.

But anyway.

@Negatomsk
While I CAN TECHNICALLY accept Blythe. Because I understand how she works, and I do understand that I can trust you to not abuse it. What I can't accept is that it's literally a caveat. Her rule is that she's always stronger or faster and just all around physically superior to the person she's fighting, which leads to some really intense debate. Since it's always imbalanced in a fight that doesn't involve some sort of ranged combat.

This is a caveat, a proviso that makes her "not OP."

Unfortunately, because she needs one in this particular setting, it IS OP. Dunnaman could fight her, he's armed and has decent range and speed for a high tier.

Liu? He couldn't fight her. It wouldn't even be considered a fight, she'd pop his head like a grape.

I love high tier combat, it's my specialty. I enjoy writing a bit of realistic insane combat because I love tearing apart cities with my characters. It's more fun than I can aptly describe.

But regulating them is a chore, if they aren't properly limited. I'd be okay with her being exclusively high tiered, but as she's balanced, she starts off intermediate and quickly accelerates into high tier as the fight drags on.

Since a good number of characters are punchy guys who like punching stuff, she's unbeatable to anyone who isn't going to tear her apart like Ronda Rousey was.

@Enki
Melon's right though, I gave reasons why Corban is acceptable and why Alex and Blythe aren't.

Blythe because she's not intrinsically broken, her damage potential is. If you play league of legends, she's like Nasus. If Nasus gets too many stacks, he's unstoppable.

Alex is intrinsically broken in the regards that we have no actually gauge on his power level.

Edit: This is why I don't comment much anymore. Any time that I show up and actually speak, everyone just miraculously goes offline simultaneously.
