Or the tools. I don’t remember you showing me a smithy in the castle or anything like that.

The boss has a workshop, but I'm not much of a handyman, so I never go in there. If you think it'll sell for a lot, we should take it to the big city, and one of their smiths will probably buy it.
<Snipped quote by Legend Begins>

I don’t think I have the skillset to actually make something of this.

That's too bad. You'd probably earn more.

*Knocks on it with one hand while I hold it with the other*
It’s fine. This should work. I imagine whatever alloys these ships are made of are so hard that it would impress townsfolk of a vaguely medieval-to-Victorian era society. Might go for a pretty penny, and they could melt it down and make Excalibur.

I think that a legendary fishing pole would make for a great story. Maybe you should try to sell it as that.

They never came for any of it. Never saw signs of someone even scouting the place out, much less anything to the scale of whatever an official salvaging operation would look like to sufficiently put a dent in all of the stuff here.
*Walks up to a bent piece of the hull on the edge of the damage. I glance it over, then put both hands on it and pull really hard until a jagged piece about as big as my torso snaps off*

If you get hurt on the first day of the job, it won't be the greatest first impression.
*Picks up a piece of scrap and turns it over in my hand*
<Snipped quote by Legend Begins>

The legality of it never crossed my mind. I’ve already functionally looted up months worth of food out of these wreckages, and this armor. If it’s illegal, I’m already well beyond being worried about that.

Maybe they'll be sympathetic in this case.
*Kneels down and runs my finger across a piece of broken, rusted metal*
<Snipped quote by Legend Begins>

To my understanding, one of the largest single collectives in all of reality used a lot of their manpower to mount this war effort. They didn’t provide the majority of the strongest people, but they provided numbers like no one else really could.
*Looks down and drops a few feet onto the earth below, and steps out into the sunlight*

*Sits on the edge and slides off to minimize the fall, watching closely for stray pieces of metal*
Is it legal to hunt for scraps here?
<Snipped quote by Legend Begins>

*Takes a right near the end of the hall, which very suddenly leads to jagged metal, defunct wiring sticking out of the infrastructure, and a massive opening in the ship from damage that leads to the outside near the ground. As far as the eye can see in this direction, IA warships of varying yet vast sizes lay derelict across a flat, grayish-yellow landscape, and many smaller wreckages and bits of junk are scattered in the dirt between them*

I'm really glad I wasn't in the middle of this. Whoever insured these is about to go bankrupt.
<Snipped quote by Legend Begins>

Despite the sheer vastness of this graveyard, as far as I can tell, it’s just a graveyard for shipwrecks. Never saw a body.
*Walks down the hall to the right, which, as the floor seems to be un-level to the ground, seems to lead down*

*Follows, trying as hard as I can to avoid stepping on uneven surface*

I scrounged around in them. They’re mostly the same, but this one was the easiest to clean up. I imagine these were where the ship’s higher ranking officers slept since they’re all private.

We won't come across any corpses, will we?
<Snipped quote by Legend Begins>

No, not in this specific room anyway. I’d been sleeping here for about a week and a half before I got found.

What about the other rooms?
