Polyanna Saccharine.

Lee could feel herself breathe easier with the Head Enforcer's appearance. She was a cheerful person, and one who Lee always wanted to be around with. The uniqueness of her magic made things all the better. The broken deity watched as the lolly did what her magic could only hope to, and she wondered if she could one day mimic such skill. She made a mental note to work on the healing properties of her magic in the near future.

When it was their turn to receive a lollipop, Lee hurried to stand and eagerly grabbed hers. It always tasted different. Once, the treat Polyanna had given her tasted of the fresh strawberries Ophelia loved in her garden. They were treated with such care and affection that the fruit oozed with sweetness and delight. The treat had mimicked it perfectly, and a pang of want for the woman that was her home had struck Lee hard then. Now, as she leaned into Xinhua, the lollipop tasted vaguely like pine trees and sunlight flickering through the canopy. It tasted like power far greater than any Lee had ever experienced.

Polyanna's treats were made to taste exactly how its owner wanted it to. Lee paused, lollipop still in her mouth. What was that she tasted? What part of her had wanted that taste?

She mentally shook the thoughts away, and knelt down next to Viktor to check on him. He seemed okay, better now with Polyanna's magic, but she knew that when he woke, he'd be in a whole mess of trouble. She patted his head sadly, before standing up and grinning at the others. She released the lollipop with a loud pop and stuck her tongue out. "Hey, lemme have a lick," she said to Xinhua, playfully licking the girl's cheek. With a laugh, she turned to Viola and Luna, grinning brightly at them. "You too."

She paused, eyes wandering over to Karen. "Oh yeah. Karen. Totally forgot you were there." She grabbed Xinhua and shot the rather plain girl a vibrant smile, only with a slight hint of taunting. "Want a taste?"

[The envelope is fancy, marked with the shipping stamp of the Unova region. A brown seal the colour (and smell) of coffee with the image of a pair of dark sunglasses bars the entrance of any unwanted eyes to the letter held within. Opening the envelop brings the sight of a neatly folded letter with elegant script detailing the sender's interests.]

Addressed to: Professor Juniper

Greetings.

This letter should have arrived at your doorstep courtesy of my personal assistant, and so the need to introduce myself should be deemed unnecessary.

[Should the professor look upon the evidently tired young woman who had handed the envelope to them, she would show them her phone with BRIAR's profile already loaded up.]

Then again, even without that simpering fool right there with you, I doubt my name has fled your mind ever since you've seen me on television or heard me on the radio. That's right, Professor. Be honoured, for the one and only BRIAR has chosen you to be the recepient of a handwritten letter. My hordes of fans would kill to be in your position, so do not squander the sensation by letting fools like my assistant and what other sad excuses for applicants you have outshine my words.

[There was an evident pause in the writing.]

Oh? My assistant just informed me that Perdy has also sent you a letter. How quaint. That talentless sap got into the industry due to pure luck. I would bet one of my many, many expensive vehicles that he even had some relatives within. Nepotism is a curse. Unlike me, the great BRIAR whose life is as dramatic and brilliant as a movie. Several, in fact, have been produced detailing my rise to glory. I'm sure you've watched them. Such masterpieces, don't you think? But I digress. I meant to tell you about my rise to glory, which I assume you already know through my aforementioned films. Either way, I grew up at an orphanage, abandoned by foolish, idiotic parents who failed to see the gift thrust upon them by the cosmos. The plebians I shared that roof with were of the nastiest sort and I was determined to rid myself of their grime as soon as possible. At the wee age of three, I began to join singing competitions around Unova, all of which I won. Of course, I did.

Following my eight trophy, I was five then, someone who finally understood I was a star chained to the earth decided to liberate me. I'm sure you know of him. He's my producer, the magnificent Shou Prism. He brought me to the spotlight at the age of seven, after numerous workshops that I didn't really need as I was already flawless. Still, I blew the crowd away, and the rest, as they say, is history. I now have three platinum albums under my belt, four films where I am the lead actress, more awards that I can count, and wealth to rival any in all the regions.

Now, I'm sure you must already be jumping to the opportunity I'm presenting you, but allow me to explain just exactly how I can be of use to you. You seek to inspire people to become Trainers again, yes? Here you have in front of you a very talented, insanely popular, and undoubtedly magnificent woman prepared to offer her services. Give me a Pokemon, let me wander around your region with a camera to show my fans the wonder and joys and whatever of having a Pokemon, and before you know it, you'll have thousands scampering to rid your little laboratory of your critters.

I know what you must be thinking. Oh great BRIAR, how lucky are we that you're willing to do this for us. And for free too. Well, let me just say that I love my fans, and I am willing to sacrifice my designer boots in order to show them what they're missing.

[Emblazoned at the bottom of the paper is BRIAR's sigil, a pair of darksunglasses and a mic.]

[Should the Professors ask the assistant what the true reason behind BRIAR's letter, the assistant would fidget and hesitate before revealing that she was also a fan of her boss and was already used to their attitude, but a video had been released to the public which soured their image to their fans. Now, they're using Pokemon to endear themselves to the people again.]

The way Lee's eyes widened and her jaw dropped was almost comical. She blinked wildly at Luna, processing her words, before looking over to her roommate, as if for some reason Xinhua would be able to tell her if she was simply hallucinating words she desperately wanted to hear. Blinking back towards Luna, a smile that could only be compared to the brilliant twinkling of the stars in the night sky spread over her face. "You're serious?" She could already feel her magic's hold on some of the plantlife around the dorm, especially in her room, cause them to bloom into life. "You are! I can't wait!" She paused, thinking. "Do you think you could move time forward to after the ceremony?" It was a cheeky request, and something made obvious by her playful grin.

She skipped back towards Xinhua, petting Tao Cai and wrapping an arm around its master's shoulder. She grinned brightly at Viola who hadwalked with them, laughing at how Luna teased the younger girl. It was endearing how close those two were, and if she hadn't had her arm around her own roommate, she would have been a bit jealous.

Perhaps she should ask to speak with the girl later. Viola dealt with spirits. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to assume that she had some knowledge on deities too, even just theoretical. All Lee had to do was slip in that question into a conversation, using every bit of sly wit she could. A frown formed on her lips. She was anything but sly. It would certainly prove to be a difficult-

Thump.

A student, dressed in the oddest clothes Lee had ever seen before, passed out in front of their group. Wait. Odd clothes? Blonde hair? The most enchanting white holes in his hands? Lee released her hold on Xinhua and rushed to help the student sit. Sure enough, it was someone she had seen before, but never had the opportunity to speak with. Viktor.

"Are you alright?" Her charge wasn't able to answer, passed out as he was. He felt weak, and a rush of worry settled deep within Lee's chest. She asked for Xinhua's help to move them towards the window, where sunlight was slipping through. Once there, she placed a hand on his forehead, tucking away some errant strands of blonde hair away, and brought up the power of a spell she rarely used. Breathe. Magic rushed from her fingertips, fuelled by the sunlight behind her. It wasn't the healing magic of the nurses in the infirmary, but she hoped it would alleviate some of the stress on Viktor, at least until they could bring him to the infirmary.

She looked around at the students, not really trusting her own physical strength. "Some help, please. We need to bring him to the infirmary."

"Oh, morning Lee and uh, X-Xinhua."

Lee's lips curled up to form a rather uncharacteristically sadistic grin at the sound of the all too familiar voice and the sight of their young neighbour. Karen Almira was, without a doubt, one of Xinhua's many admirers. In fact, Karen was one of the more obvious ones that had inspired Lee to look more into the student body's attraction to her roommate in the first place. It was amusing how flustered they all got around the woman she basically shared her world with, and she wondered how any of them would fare should they be given the chance to trade places with her, even for a day.

Amusement aside, the grin left her lips to be replaced with a much more joyous version as she spied Karen's other roommate. She gave Karen a nod, but no more. It was not like Lee hated the girl - she wasn't sure she was even capable of such a powerful negtive emotion - but her discipline had cost Lee once. It had been an accident, she was sure, and she didn't even know if Karen was aware of it, but plague magic had destroyed a portion of the plantlife around the school once. Once. Lee had been more careful about protecting her own around the girl since.

Her roommates, on the other hand, fascinated Lee. Luna especially. Chronomancy was a powerful discipline, and Luna had proven herself to be a very capable sorceress. Despite having known her for a long time, Lee still hadn't been given a positive answer to her request of seeing the chronomancer in action. She had wanted to see how it would affect her plants - to watch a small bud blossom into a beautiful flower before her eyes on seconds. That didn't deter her from asking again and again, though. "Luna," she greeted brightly, hugging the girl before she could react. "Say yes?" It was a hopeful question. Perhaps Luna wouldn't be so secretive about her research the thirty-eight time Lee asked.

The other one, Viola, was also one that Lee liked. Spirits and her connection to them. She had wondered if it was like her connection with the animas and plant life, but it was something she pushed to the back of her mind. With her new knowledge on her true identity, she had become wary of the girl. Questions swirled around her mind. Would Viola know? Would she sense it? Lee extracted herself from Luna to look around for Viola. "Where's Viola? Are her ghosts around here?"
