Bio

Heyo. I'm Lith/Hael.

I come on here to RP once in a blue moon, and go on the Discord to shitpost when is appropriate. Which is usually always.

Generally speaking I enjoy arena fights and 1x1 roleplays. Least that's where I'm at right now. Currently I am in three fights [!!] and zero 1x1 roleplays. If you seek me out and my number of roleplays is above zero, I won't say no necessarily, but that does mean my glorious ability to get distracted may kick on.

Aside from all that, I'm a dude in my 30's in the medical field. Work full time, I'm usually busy all of Friday-Sunday, then have a shorter shift Monday. Then Tuesday-Thursday I'm free.

You got any ideas to spitball, DM me. Also open to Discord. My schedule makes it so I can never play, but I used to very frequently be in 3.5 and Pathfinder games, so if you wanna talk tabletop, games, anime, or whatever else nerd nonsense, got you covered.

What else. Ah yeah. The King of the Hill reboot is gonna fucking suck.

Welcome to the guild, nyo~ho~ho. Enjoy your stay and things of that nature.
Welcome to RPG, I hope you find some good groups to entertain yourself. I've definitely seen fantasy and sci-fi dabbled in around here.
Greetings individual. Welcome to RPG. I'm the inverse, video game obsessed but light novels on the side. Enjoy your stay.

Format Concepts

Machine Knight --- Post A: Character art overhead, mech suit elements on sides. Post B+: HUD layout, sprite version of mech at bottom. Could probably abuse tables with transparency in .png's. Overall, a yellow color scheme.

Serpentine Artist --- Post A: Character art overhead, front facing serpent head. Post B+: Serpent framing, sprite version of primary melee weapon. Dark red color scheme with orange highlights.

Pending title eyeballmancer --- Post A: Character art underneath with arms outstretched, single eye atop. Post B+: Sprite version of laser attack above. Gray color scheme.

Pending title rainmancer --- Post A: Character art above, incorporate rain in some fashion. Post B: Sprite of character atop, lily pads. Blue and green color scheme.

Pending title symbolcaster --- Post A: art above, example symbols layered left and right. Post B: Seals on paper, sprite version below. White and bright red color scheme.
Welcome to RPG. Don't worry, I'm 34. 5/10 times, 100% of the time people would say I'm a well adjusted adult. Enjoy your stay.
Banned because that is inferior to the Power Glove which I have hung on my wall behind my computer.

Nothing wrong with being bad. I hope you enjoy your stay and find what you're seeking.
Brain's finally cooperating with all the stupid eyeball elixirs I gotta take so I can focus on writing again. Need to start piecing together characters. Also need to create a post format that is both gaudy and obnoxious. Thus a fresh testing shitpost thread to probably ignore for eons until I don't.

Regarding characters:
  • Needs to be oriented around combat. Backstories and whatnot should be on the smaller side, can be expanded as needed later.
  • Aesthetic: PC-98 games. Gotta AI generate assets and have them in that style. Should make everyone unreasonably upset and my video card only melt slightly.
  • Would be ideal if these characters could "scale" so there'd be less need for future fine-tuning for different settings and tiers. Could probably have special formatting around numbers or terms and then include an "overclock" and "underclock" "patch" to adjust those values. Still requires a fair bit of iteration to get it right but that should cover my bases.
  • I do like reinventing the wheel every time I make a character, yet it might be a good idea to create some unified resource systems. I once had a character that utilized paper seals, another that utilized enchanted stickers, and yet another that vaguely involved arcane symbols. Something in that vein being fused, a magic system involving marking objects or organisms, could be apropos. Have a finite resource system that can be channeled into the symbols to activate the effect thereof. Simple effects with single symbols, complex effects with combining symbols that requires more time to etch or more of the aforementioned resource to manifest. This allows for a variety of archetypes to work. eg an arcane trickster that has a bag of rocks he embeds the symbols on in order to have safe, reliable vectors for attack by tossing them. Alternatively, a knight that embeds them onto his armor temporarily for physical enhancement purposes.

Regarding format:
  • Character art and anything particularly garish should be reserved for the first post only.
  • Subsequent posts should have something more minimal, emphasizing the text.
  • Can probably get away with doing a small sprite version of the character in response posts, towards the bottom. Probably mess with that in Affinity Photo 2.

Pilot and his machine. Unlike my tests, I want to create a more unified, singular design. Elemental modules were a good idea ft "Sword Wave." The "blue mage" aspect of kidnapping combatants and torturing their esoteric knowledge out of them was fun but far too large in scale. Similar with having different machines for different use cases. Better to consolidate. Loading modules like chips from Mega Man Battle Network.Machine Knight.
Long time character of mine, I want to retool him into a modern form. Gist is he has a living mass inside his body that forms into the shape of serpent/draconic entities, like an arcane balloon animal but murderous. The mass is only intelligent on the lowest of levels, requiring him to use his own body to guide it or act as a conduit for its attacks. This mass can also be lit ablaze at will. He typically shot out several small "snakes" and used them as remote low-level harassment while he got into position to maim or kill someone, where they weren't enough on their own to take an enemy out but also couldn't comfortably be ignored and were capable of winding around corners and entering tight crevices. Emphasis on the retool would be to have some fixed shapes, eg a dragon gauntlet consisting of multiple serpents wrapping around his right arm, that modify how his limbs can attack. Transforming him from a long ranged harasser with mundane melee attacks and occasional high ranged burst, to a short~medium ranged melee with lots of tools to keep him slippery and hard to comfortably engage or keep at a distance.Serpentine Artist.
I've wanted to create a character that damages enemies by staring at them. Of course, in cRP, a "gaze" character is difficult to get right since counter-play is situational at best. Tends to devolve into statchecks and kit tests rather than actual play, whether flavored like a Medusa turning you to stone or like a Naruto ninja placing an illusion on you. It gets messy fast. So to avoid that, something more tangible, ala an X Men laser eye, would possibly work. Downside: one fixed vector of attack. Incentive for the opponent more than ever to try and blind you, damage your eyes, etc. Idea: flavor it something vaguely psionic in nature, manifesting eyeball constructs that act as conduits for the gaze/ray attacks. Give them fixed cones and line distance. Transfers vision into the constructs and outside the host body when making them fly about, guiding them via hand gestures. Like D&D familiars that act as relays for close to medium range destructive spells. Could then add "status effects" via specialty rays that give different visual tells, or a temporary Iron Body-like spell turning the remote eyeballs into steel bludgeoning shields.???
A character that can call rain within a fixed area. This allows for rain to fall even indoors/underground. Would wield a staff of some kind, one-handed when needing to call the rain since I think I'll make him a somatic caster and have to involve one arm in keeping it up as a channeled effect. Would not need to do this in naturally occurring rain, although would need to channel if modifying it. Would essentially have two components to his kit: enhancement and alteration. Enhancement would be passive, working regardless of rain type. eg body would increase in muscle mass. Thinking I'll have stages the longer he's exposed to rain, where the size increase gets more grotesque versus his lithe originating state. Alteration would require channeling, eg: drops could be made to slow down within proximity of his person, and allow him to leap drop to drop, creating sky ladders. Alternatively he could modify the properties of the rain so it is hyperacidic, causing it to burn and impair breathing. Also figure I'll give him some artifact that lets him alter what direction the rain "falls" [from below and rise, from right to left, etc]. Will require some tweaking, should be dumb when done.???
Have an alphabet that enables basic spells on limited quantity paper designed to help manifest their effects. Then fused forms for advanced magic. Lot of dumb I can do with this, could probably be applied to several characters as low and high casters.???
