I enjoy the irony that my most judgemental cat prefers me, while most judgemental humans stay away from me.

Bio

Not born in a log cabin, I came into the RPing venture around 2009 and quickly joined about twenty roleplays more than I should have at the time. I've been around the internet in that time span, participated in and run RPs on multiple forums, and brushed shoulders with a wide variety of players and characters. Getting to work with new people has always been part of the allure of the experience.

My interests in RPing are pretty diverse, and not genre-specific; if there's room at the table and I can think of a dish to serve, I'll cook something up for just about any meal. If you know what I mean.

Yeah. I'm still interested
Quick question: are all of our characters allowed the ability to fly via ki as a default?
Togrash

"Are you sure you're ready? You've only just healed from the last job!"

Togrash's face twisted into a grimace as the words of Regen Chamber medic's words echoed back in his head. It was true to the last word; the second part that was. The Capsa-jin had pushed himself harder during his squad's prior mission, and expended himself more than he usually did, which was saying more than a lot. The Kyandi rebels had been a hassle to deal with, and the heated reptilian had matched that tenacity with ferocity of his own. Such was his fighting there that he had spent the entirety of the transit to Pastara in a healing pod.

In defiance of the urging of the medics, Togrash had made haste to armor up and seat himself in his attack pod. He had, of course, overheard them as he came to: "A power level of 1,200." That had eclipsed, ever so slightly, his own squad leader. As far as he was concerned, if Rhubari was set to go, so was he. He scoffed loudly as the pod broke Pastara's atmosphere, relishing as the vessel caught the heat upon entry.

Moments later, the pod crashed down. The jarring sound of metal tearing through metal told him the landing strategy had worked, and they had smashed a Pastarian tank. This would, naturally, only be the beginning.

Togrash's pod door clicked and opened to a cluster of footsoldiers. A squadron of five amphibious warriors trained their spears upon him as he rose from his seat. He stretched and cracked his back and neck quickly... he never had cared much for the cramped pods. With little to telegraph it, he launched a ki blast, charring the Pastarian squad leader before the eyes of his soldiers.

Undeterred, and in fact, invigorated by the sudden loss of their leader, the remaining four soldiers charged forth.

Moving quickly, Togrash dodged to his left, evading on the outside of a spear thrust. Grasping the shaft of the spear, he leveraged the momentum of his attacker to hurl him into his comrades. The four warriors became dominoes, falling over in succession as each body slammed into to next. Amid the collapsing, a single spear came loose and fell to the ground close to Togrash's feet. He scooped up the weapon for himself as he pursued his enemies, driving through the first one to rise with one of its own mechanations. He whipped his tail around, knocking away a third before knocking away the remains spears, and engaging the remaining two in hand-to-hand combat.

And they didn't think I'd be ready to go.

I'll get a post up either later tonight or tomorrow evening.
I'm pretty high on the idea of starting either in the middle of a battle or just after one.
That's hilarious! Would anyone be interested starting on Monday if we get no new takers?

It really does broach that territory of "so bad it'd good."
In the spirit of this RP, I've been indulging in watching clips from the Big Green dub of DBZ. LOL
D's muscles tensed and released as he delivered what would be the last, crashing slam of the entity against the mangled wall of servers. He ripped his arms back down to his side as the tendrils loosened their grip. He backed away from the entity, catching breath, and spectating as VV exacted the conclusive strike against it; the entity melted away and dissolved.

For the time being, the fighting was over. D motioned and sounded in relief. His mouth hung open for a moment as VV approached him with comment and inquiry.

The first syllable had barely escaped him when the sound of heavy, driving footsteps carried from the far corners of the archives. In an instant, he and VV were surrounded by a squadron of heavily armed, armor-clad soldiers; D noticed they all bore the isignia of a skull and crossbone, though he had no clue what to make of it. With guns trained on him from all sides, and being unsure if he could take a hit as well as he could give one, D obliged to the order given, and dropped to the ground. In sequence, he allowed himself to be forced back to his feet, and fell in next to VV as the soldiers forced them out of the archive room.

"Call me 'D,'" he whispered to VV, unheard by the soldiers. The entourage was joined by another seeing a third captive down the hall... D assumed her to be either A or Pia, whom the woman walking next to him had spoken of.

They hadn't gotten far down the corridor when all Hell broke loose again.

This time, it was the soldiers being assailed by an unseen force. Several of the armed guards clasped their hands to their head, weapons clattering about on the ground as they were dropped. D felt a rough hand push him down, and let himself drop to the floor as a rain of gunfire and a chorus of pained groans split the silence. More soliders came under the affliction, and the sound of gunfire faded into the anguished cries of men being attacked by something they couldn't fight against.

"Run!"

The voice shouted above the noise of the agonized soliders. D spun in the direction of the voice. He pushed off from the ground, scooping up a dropped gun as he did, and began to run in the direction of the voice; he bodied his way through a solider who, despite the pain he way in, attempted to to stop the captives from escaping.

He would spin around, letting Pia and VV pass him by, and open fire in a quick spray with the stolen weapon to deter a pursuit before folliwing the others.
Brewing up a character. Leaning into something in the vein of a character whose contract is with a shinigami, such made to stave off the character's imminent death. I'm imagining some form of vampirism would be the resulting abilities... still thinking through the wrinkles.
I'll get something worked up over the course of the week.
