Bio

Not born in a log cabin, I came into the RPing venture around 2009 and quickly joined about twenty roleplays more than I should have at the time. I've been around the internet in that time span, participated in and run RPs on multiple forums, and brushed shoulders with a wide variety of players and characters. Getting to work with new people has always been part of the allure of the experience.

My interests in RPing are pretty diverse, and not genre-specific; if there's room at the table and I can think of a dish to serve, I'll cook something up for just about any meal. If you know what I mean.

[indent]As Booker continued the briefing, Eric's attention split between him and the continuing influx of new faces to the room. Three people entered, one after another. Though they were discrete enough not to disrupt the meeting their arrival was still enough to pull Eric's attention for just a few seconds; he wanted to know the faces he was working with, and wanted to know them well. Even so early on, it was looking like a colorfully diverse gathering, both culturally and professionally.

When all had been said with regard to the assignment, Eric waited, and took his turn to speak in the wake of a jittery young woman sitting down in front of him. He raised his hand and gave his piece: "If you need someone with you on the inside, I'm your man. What would you need? A partner to act as another guest? If you want you can slip me in as a caterer or something; I can get the lay of where the party is pretty easy."
Yes. I believe I saw that little predicament. I think there was a suggestion of putting that information into the OOC part of the RP, which would probably make the most sense, seeing as it would keep all of the information in, pretty much, one place.
I must admit, this does have me interested.
Just follow the red line... Simple enough. The sound of Eric's thoughts boomed over the passing of the subway cars overhead, mentally repeating the instructions he had been a short time ago. The memory had struck out sporadically and vividly in his mind since, the veiled face of "Booker Conway" imprinted against the backdrop of a burning police cruiser etched into his eyelids and the sound of the distorted voice of the masked man echoing through his ears even when other noise should have drowned it out. Since that days, the words, half instructions to a better way of serving the people and half directions to this new, subterranean abode, were all that Eric could grasp within his thoughts.

"If you want to help the real people and serve true justice, then you'll follow the red line...

There had been further instructions; a penned point-list and map of where to go and how to get there. Eric had set that into the first firing barrel he could find in the slums and let it burn; he had memorized the information quite quickly, through some mental rehearsal and visualizations. To no surprise of his, it had worked. He had found the red line that Conway told him about, and at that very minute was following it on the home stretch, carrying a suitcase and an expensive looking tack box overflowing with his tools-of-trade.

With a shrug of his arm, he checked his wristwatch, accelerating without skipping a beat; he was running late, courtesy of the lovely people at the stage company who insisted on explaining everything he already knew about every product he had purchased. Soon thereafter, he caught a glimpse of another young fellow, entering a door that matched Booker's specifications. Sprinting silently to cover the distance, he slipped just before the door closed, and just in time to get the brief scoop on his new team's first assignment. "So it'll be a good old cast party to kick off our opening act eh? I like it."
I assume I'm in? I've got my sheet up back on page three of the OOC.
Ah. Well, I just changed it to show the image. Hopefully it's working.
Not sure if there's space here. But it looks like it could be a fun time; plus I think I've got a role that hasn't been filled in.

Masking:

Name: Eric "Faces" O'Shea
Age: 25

Skills:
Mole Work; True to his street name, Eric is a man capable of donning variety of faces, both figuratively and literally, and puts his theatrical studies to work in the field. He can learn to blend with just about any crowd and fit into any environment without losing step. With an aptitude for acting and a proficiency in theatrical make-up and costuming techniques to change face, Eric is a good man to have on the inside of a job before the fact, and can just as soon cover the tracks in the aftermath. He fearlessly and aptly fills roles as an informant, a roadblock to pursuers and sometimes even a patsy. Drawing from what little experience he has from stage management and student-directing, he isn't half bad at coming up with skeleton plans for operations; he sees a heist as similar to a play and the location as a set, with the organization being very similar to blocking out the movement and actions of actors.

Self-Defense & Combat; While not necessarily an expert in combat, Eric has trained both formally and informally in self-defense, and can get himself out of a jam if something doesn't go according to plan. His focus is mostly in hand-to-hand combat and he's good at working in tight spaces and in crowds. He can generally pick up most close-quarters weapons without issues and can figure out basic firearms on the fly.

History: A man of the theater by virtue of study, through college Eric learned the trades of both sides of spectacle, making him both a proficient actor and a well-versed technician and designer. Originally, he took these skills into the field of law enforcement, assisting both civil police and government agencies as a plant with suspects ranging from individual crime bosses, street gangs and more notorious syndicates. However, following a fateful run-in with one Booker Conway, Eric became disenchanted with his role as a mole for the law. Realizing that most of what he was working to protect was probably better off being stolen, broken or undone, he answered his new calling with Conway's growing band of thieves.

Other:
- The name "Eric O'Shea" is, more than likely, an alias to cover his tracks. It is also likely that he has permanently modified his appearance to avoid being found by his former employers.
- Eric's mask made from a thick mesh material that functions in a way similar to a two-way mirror, allowing him to (when wearing it properly) to see out from it while still keeping his face hidden.
I suppose this is where I post my reintro. I'm Wayward (previously known as RequiemX for those who knew me and never caught up with the change), transitioning over from the old guild. Looks like we've got a road ahead of us getting this place back up to pace. Hopefully I can do my part.
