Joshua looked up as he heard the sound of a door being knocked on. He turned his head to the door next to him, instinctively to greet Julia. Only, that wasn't the door being knocked on. It was the front entrance. A mailman perhaps? No, wait, why would they have mailmen? This was the digital world. Everything was digital. Maybe it was a worker arriving late? Rio seemed excited at the prospect of someone new arriving, but Joshua held an arm out to remind her to stay seated.

The woman at the desk let out a deep sigh as her head drooped, and the clacking of keys came to an abrupt halt. She stood up, the chair she was sitting on rolling behind her as the wheels glided across the floor. It was only a few quick steps for her as she approached the door.

She pulled the door open, before looking down at the duo of a young looking white-haired girl, and a Black Augumom with red markings across it. She looked down disdainfully at the two. "Can I help you young lady? If you have a request, come on inside and..." she looked back at the desk she was working at with a dour expression. "...I'll help you get set up." she gestured towards the desk.

Appearance: Joshua is relatively tall, standing at 6 feet and 2 inches, or about 189 cm, and weighing in at a little less than 200 pounds, or 90 kg. He sports an athletic build, but seems to have a focus on his legs. He wears a bracelet with his father's racecar number and name on it. His shaggy brown hair can often be seen accompanied by a set of headphones while he's out on his daily runs.

Personality: Many would describe Joshua as stubborn, often setting his mind to something and not changing it. While this is sometimes annoying to some people, it could also be said he is a man of his word, and always sees things through. Otherwise, despite his athletic skill of choice, Joshua doesn't mind taking things slow, and enjoying the moment, though this may stem from his father's accident, and is trying to enjoy the time he has.

Age: Joshua has just turned 19 years old.

Digivice: Joshua's Digivice is a "Digivice Burst". Its colors are black and dark blue.

Short Bio: Throughout Joshua's childhood, there was one person he idolized more than anyone else: his father. His father was a professional Racecar driver, participating in many races all across the nation. As a young man, Joshua couldn't exactly drive around with him, so he found his own way of racing: with his legs.

Joshua wasn't built like a runner at first, but over the years has developed his own running form and techniques, and has been on the track team in every school he's been to, even going so far as to win a state-wide relay race for his school. Things were going quite swimmingly for young Joshua, until his 15th birthday came around.

Watching his father at the races was no stranger to Joshua, and seeing him get into wrecks was no different. So when his father's car was slammed into a wall at high speeds, he didn't think much of it. He was probably out of the race, but he'd be back next time. But when he saw paramedics dragging him onto a stretcher, he knew something was wrong. His father would end up suffering a career ending injury, and was no longer allowed to race professionally.

Joshua was devastated, watching his father's passion come to an abrupt halt. While his father offered Joshua his mantle, and offered to put him through training, Joshua declined, partly out of fear of not living up to expectations, and partly for fear of suffering an injury like that himself. While Joshua spent the next few moths thinking of what he wanted to do, he came up with a compromise. He'd take the mantle, but on the condition that instead of racing in a car, he'd race with his legs, just like he always had.

Since then, Joshua has been training, hoping to one day go to the big leagues, and carry on his father's legacy in his own way. In the meantime however, Joshua has recently taken on a job at a Tamer Union, mostly for the money, but helping out the community seemed fun, and having a digimon friend also seemed pretty cool.

Trivia: Joshua has an insatiable lust for Mexican Food, and his favorite sport is baseball. He cheers for the Atlanta Braves.

Personality: Ever the optimist, Rio can always be seen cheering on Joshua in all of his endeavors, and trying to see the bright side of life, even when things seem dour. And, much like many Lunamon, she takes after her tamer, giving everything all she's got, even if she's not very good at it.

Trivia: Rio has a fascination with dancing. Due to her figure, she isn't very good at it yet, but that doesn't stop her from trying.

Idea 11 - Digimon: Artifical Invasion

Plot XI involves the world of Digimon. I haven't thought out every little thing yet, but I have a decent idea of what I'd like to do. Do keep in mind that this rp will be based more on the games, like Digimon World Dawn/Dusk, and Cyber Sleuth/Hacker's Memory.

In this world, the digital world and its inhabitants are widely known. People can visit the digital through special transporters known as "beacons" and end up at another beacon of their choice, provided they have the corresponding IP address. People and digimon have lived in relative harmony, though that's not to say some areas are safer than others, and that some digimon don't believe in having human tamers.

All seems well in both worlds. But things aren't quite as they seem. The digital world is still very much digital, and is subject to bots, viruses, and many other digital plagues. Most of these plagues are dealt with by a Tamer Union. A Tamer Union is a sort of guild where many Tamers solve problems brought to them by digimon and humans alike. A Tamer Union acts independently, but are all technically under the governance of a centralized parliament. This is called, well, the Digital Parliament.

In recent weeks, there has been an increase in the number of bots around the digital world. Bots appear human, but can quickly be identified as bots by the way they speak. The may answer with something totally unrelated, get emotional for little to no reason, or show the complete wrong emotion, etc. Bots can be touched and behave like normal humans physics wise (i.e., if you grab their arm and lift it, the arm lifts with you and then falls back down) and often times act as avatars for cyber criminals, and there have even been a few cases of exceptionally intelligent digimon using bots to do various tasks, usually less than legal ones, or spread viruses, scams, or hack into things.

With bots spamming union requests, causing people to fall into pyramid schemes, and infecting things with Spyware, the Tamer Unions are beginning spread themselves too thin. This is where we come in. We are essentially new cadets for the Tamer Union of our area. Whether you're there for money, fame, or just because you're bored out of your gourd, you work there now. You're assigned a parter digimon, and you're sent to do some requests while investigating this new bot infestation.

What will you find? Who will you find? What stands in your way? What waits just beyond the horizon? All these questions and more will be answered as you uncover the mystery of this digital dilemma.
