Been giving Pillars of Eternity another playthrough. I had a lot of fun with it the first time, and even completed the game, and linked it for the sequel. It's been a couple of years since I've played it though, and I'm beginning to remember a number of things. For one, holy shit Edér is way stronger than he has any right to be. Either that, or Fighter is just that strong. Combined with his regeneration, general tankiness and overall good stats, he's easily one my favorite party members. Second, there are so many perception checks. Perception is a good stat to have, don't get me wrong, but it feels like there's way too many of them. Then again, if you've ever played D&D or Pathfinder, one of the most common things you'll hear is "Roll Perception". One last thing I quite like about the game is that there's always something to do. There's always people to talk to, nooks and crannies to explore, enemies to fight, quests to do, checks to make, lore to read. You get the idea. Granted, if you're someone with wanderlust this might be seen as a bad thing, and can seem overwhelming, but I think it's worth it.
8.5/10 game, would highly recommend if you're into RTS games. It is a tad expensive, at $30 for the basic edition, and $40 for the definitive edition on Steam. though there are ways around that
