As Yuryuu walked off in search of his next opponent, a white blur smacked right into him from around a corner. He rubbed his head a little and looked down at the figure who rushed into him. Before Yuryuu could question him, he was immediately challenged by the other student.
Yuryuu's confused expression disappeared, and he smiled at the other boy. "I accept your challenge. Let's duel." He activated his duel disk, as the board of light appeared, his deck shuffling itself. He drew his hand and and looked at his opponent. "My name is Sikao Yuryuu. You may address me as Yuryuu during our fight. Well then... will you have your turn or would you rather I take the initiative?" Yuryuu asked Tekkan, a stern expression across his face.
@Satoshi Kyou My mind was trying to figure out how to get around Timing Etiquette, but I suppose PM-ing your turn and getting feedback for if they'll activate an effect in between is another solution.
By the way, @KOgaming is the posting in sequence of chain on purpose? If I wanted to duel somebody on the forum, would we be able to use something like PiratePad to do our duel in a single post?
Meanwhile, behind the "Dark Magician" House Dormitory...
"Turn 3! Draw!" Yuryuu proclaimed to his opponent, his poker face showing signs of confidence. His field was bare of cards, with only a single face-down spell in play, as well as his Storm Rage Dragon, standing alone on the field. Meanwhile, His opponent was sitting with two face down cards, and a newly summoned Black Luster Soldier in attack mode. Not only that, but his opponent's life points were still sitting on a 4000 lead verse his 1200.
Even so, Yuryuu was calm. He still had one monster on the field, and he knew just how to make use of it. "I activate Pot of Greed..." he stated, adding to cards to his hand to make a total of 5. "And then I then tribute Storm Rage Dragon. Come forth, Dark Dragon... Unleash your hidden potential! I summon the Legendary Lock Rage Dragon!". His opponent chuckled a little as the so called Legendary Monster took to Yuryuu's field. "I'm sorry, freshman, but I think with only 2100 ATK points, your Monster cannot stand up to my Black Luster Soldier" his opponent exclaimed.
Yuryuu's expression did not change. "Using Lancephorhynchus... and Fierce Anger Dragon, I set the Pendulum Scale!". And with that, the two monsters floated across his field, and the effect for Pendulum Summoning appeared on the stadium."Pendulum Summon! I bring forth Rare Metal Dragon and Genesis Dragon from my hand, and bring back Storm Rage Dragon from my extra deck!"
The monster's Yuryuu's summoned appeared, and their ATK power, though not higher than Black Luster Soldier, made his opponent sweat. Then, his opponent realised that Storm Rage Dragon hadn't taken the field yet. "Wait a second... where is your other monster?". Yuryuu activated his next ability in response to his question. "Storm Rage Dragon's ability activates! If he is special summoned, I can destroy one of my scales and activate him in the empty space left behind..." Upon the reading of his effect, the Ocean Dragon swallowed Lancephorhynchus, as his pendulum scale became a null 3:3. "When Storm Rage's effect resolves, all dragon's on the field gain 200 attack points. What's more, I can use his pendulum effect to destroy my other scale, along with one of your spell or trap cards!"
As Yuryuu's monsters grew in power, Storm Rage Dragon devoured the other Dragon, spitting out a thunderous laser at one of the opponent's facedown cards. "Battle! Lock Rage Dragon... attack Black Luster Soldier!" Yuryuu's opponent jumped back at this declaration, smiling nerviously. "You can't beat Black Luster Soldier. Your monster's attack points only went up to 2300..." Yuryuu waved a hand at this fact. "During battle, if Lock Rage Dragon's ATK has increased this turn, he will immediately destroy the monster he battles. Attack! Black Raging Nova!"
Yuryuu's opponent became terrified of the Dragon's ability. Without a second thought, he desperately flipped up his face-down trap card. "Nggh! I activate Dimensional Prison in order to banish your monster!" Yuryuu simply flipped his face-down trap card in response. "Your not getting away with it. I flip up Trap Stun to nullify your Prison! This duel is my victory!" as the trap cards left their field, Yuryuu's opponent became helpless as his monster disappeared in a swirl of black and orange flames.
Following the destruction of Black Luster Soldier, Yuryuu's monsters dealt 5000 points of direct damage, finishing off his opponent. His opponent complimented his fight shortly before taking off. Meanwhile, as Yuryuu placed his cards back in his deck, he took one last proud look at his Lock Rage Dragon, before setting it back in his deck and walking off towards the center of campus, in search of more opponents to face.
Within the passing few hours after the battle at the University main hall, Jack was able to find a Center and restore his Pokemon's fighting strength, as well as restock on potions and food. Satisfied, he continued on his way to the reserve once more...
Midday approach as the entrance to Silumin loomed over Jack, as he yawned while walking towards the edge of the university grounds. It seemed spending a night on route 9 didn't grant him the shut eye to get through the day as well as he had hoped. Though his body wasn't well rested, his spirit fought against it. He couldn't help feeling anxious over the battle he had against Team Arclight. Though it felt dangerous to cross them, it had only been Jack's second trainer battle and all it had done was drive an excitement through him. He needed to battle once again!
He stopped as he finally reached the entrance to the reserve. There were people around, yet none that he could point out to be the professor. This worried Jack slightly."If Professor Jonathan was letting people come through,is it alright for me to just go through on my own?" he thought aloud to himself. Awkwardly placed, Jack stood in front of the entrance, a finger pressed aginst his bottom lip while his other hand fiddled with the cube in his pocket.
Name: Sikao Yuryu Sex: Male Age: 18 House: Odd-Eyes house
Appearance: Yuryu's hair is medium black with a blue-streak in the shape of three lightning-bolts running through his fringe. His eyes are dichromatic, his right eye a darker shade of blue while his right eye is blue, slowly turning a foggy-grey at the bottom of his iris. This is something that developed in his early childhood while living with his half-brother. His skin is a light shade of olive, and he stands at 5'8" tall. He often wears a blue singlet over top a black, sleeveless coat.
Duel Disk: Yuryu's duel disk is very similar to the current times duel disk. Colored Black with white trim, the play field is a bright-blue, and the screen is a large circular window. The difference between Yuryu's duel disk, however, and the current is that on the surface next to the screen, an insignia of two dragons circling is embedded on the face of the duel disk. One of the dragons is shaded dark-red, while the other is a clear outline of Yuryu's "Lock Rage Dragon" card.
Personality: Yuryu takes a very serious tone to dueling, as well as towards any duelist who seeks to challenge him. Otherwise, he is quite laid back, however prefers to keep to himself, trapped in his own thoughts, rather than make conversation. He does not shy away from communicating with other duelists when the topic of becoming a better duelist arises, although he very much prefers people address him as Yuryu, as he was not raised to use his first name lightly. If annoyed or tested, he can become easily frustrated, snapping at a moment's notice at people who try to get on his bad side.
History: Raised with his father and stepmother, his late mother had left him and his father mere months after he was born, with no notice of why she left or where she went. As such, he and his half-brother lived together during their childhood. Unlike his younger brother, who was often kind and laid back, Yuryu had trouble befriending others and was easy to anger while he was little. This anger was tempered as he grew older, and although Yuryu and his brother were very different, they both had three things in common: They both loved to duel, they were both very prideful and the both HATED to lose.
One day, during his early teenage years, Yuryu had recieved a card from an unknown sender: Lock Rage Dragon. The moment he had touched this card, duel's began to play out very different, especially his brohter. He couldn't explain it, but all of a sudden his win rate shot through the ceiling. He was even offered the chance to go to The Saotome Duel Institute, a place where he could study and learn more about duel monsters. Jumping at the chance, Sikao Yuryu took the next boat off, excited to begin the next chapter of his duel monster's career.
Wish: To duel against his younger brother until the end of time.
