Yuryuu quickly learned the hard way that Tekkan was a far better runner than he was. Feeling hesitant, Yuryuu hoped that this wouldn't be a waste of time. Before long, Tekkan finally reached their "Leader", a helmeted figure in the distance...
Tekkan began stammering to his leader that he should duel him. As though his leader couldn't understand the situation anymore than Yuryuu, the pair of them exchanged a glance at each other. Even from beneath the helmet, Yuryuu saw it in his eyes: he was a powerful duelist. Something about what happened earlier after he beat Tekkan allowed him to suddenly feel a similar vibe from within the duelist.
"I don't know what this crap about conversion is, but I've already made up my mind to duel you" Yuryuu declared, as he began to activate his duel disk, pointing at the helmeted figure. "It is Etiquette to give your name to your opponent before you fight. My name is Sikao Yuryuu, but I prefer to be addressed as Yuryuu. Do you accept my challenge?"
As soon as victory was decided, Yuryuu's opponent lay across the floor. Suddenly, Yuryuu felt a wave of energy spill into him like a rush of pure adrenaline. His vision sharpened for a second, and before the field shut down he could have sworn he saw Lock Rage Dragon turn to him, a fire alight in his eyes. In all the duels he had ever experienced, nothing compared to the feeling that went through his veins.
As he returned the cards on the field to his deck, Tekkan scrambled for it and fled. Yuryuu's dark gaze changed to one of concern. The fact that Tekkan played Pendulum's meant they were most likely in the same house. Deep inside, he wanted to help his house colleague become stronger. Outside, his other intention's were to find the one Tekkan called "Leader", and thus Yuryuu gave chase. "Hey! Come back here..."
@GarlandDaHero Yuryuu's face darkened. Tekkan had set up a way of sacrificing his monsters so that he could activate a trap that would stop him from playing any of his monsters. He put everything he had on this card, including his entire hand and all the monster's he controlled.
"So.... with that card, Tyrant's Throes, I won't be able to summon?" Yuryuu asked rhetorically, sighing under his breath. "That is going to become your downfall. I activate the spell card, Draconnection! Revealing Dragorado from my hand, I can search for a level 4 Dragon-type monster to add and then shuffle Dragorado back into my deck. And I choose... Storm Rage Dragon!" Yuryuu declared, replacing his card as the effect of the spell card vanished from the field.
"Now, I will use Lock Rage Dragon and Storm Rage Dragon as my Pendulum scales!" Yuryuu declared once more, as the two dragons floated above the field. "Now, similar to your Igknight monsters, I going to use Storm Rage Dragon's effect to destroy my other Pendulum scale. And with that..." he continued, as the Sea Dragon swallowed the other Dragon whole, readying his breath. "He can destroy one spell or trap on the field."
A crackling laser came bursting from the Dragon's mouth, as Tyrant's Throes was erased from the field, and a slight smile appeared on Yuryuu's face. "With this, I place Archfiend Eccentrick in my empty Pendulum Zone. Appear, Dragon's of Raw Emotions... Pendulum Summon! Rare Metal Dragon! And Lock Rage Dragon". The portal effect for Pendulum Summoning appeared, as two Dragons with amazing ATK strength took the field. "Battle! Attack, twin dragons! Wipe out all of his life points!"
Activated Draconnection: Searched Storm Rage Dragon, added it to hand and shuffled Dragorado back into the deck.
Activated Storm Rage Dragon and Lock Rage Dragon as Pendulum Scales.
Used Storm Rage Dragon to Destroy Lock Rage Dragon and Tyrant's Throes.
Activated Archfiend Eccentrick from my hand. Pendulum Summoned Lock Rage and Rare Metal. Attacked for 4500.
Yuryuu observed his opponent's field. His opponent, Tekkan, played Pendulum's just like Yuryuu did, meaning his strategy will likely be either to use little monsters to advance summon bigger monsters, or try to swarm against his dragons. "It's My Turn. Draw!" Adding Draconnection to his hand, he knew Yuryuu had to choose his next actions accordingly.
Caught in a bind, Jack had no idea how or who to ask about going into the reserve. slightly frustrated, he pressed his finger harder against his lip and turned to try and look around for the Professor one more time. That's when two trainers came by that made Jack stop for a moment. One of the trainers looked oddly familiar. He couldn't say he ever met him, but he swore that he remembered seeing him somewhere...
And then he remembered, the trainer he was looking at was one of the people with Professor Jonathan after Arclight attacked! Jack smiled to himself. Perhaps he knew whether it was okay to go in. Still smiling, Jack walked over to the two trainers and introduced himself. "Excuse me, you guys were at the University when Team Arclight attacked, am I right? Do you know if we're allowed to go in yet?"
