Sounds plausible, @Lucian, friends, aquaintances or the "I see you seeing me" kind of relationship?
It'd likely start as the latter, but maybe they assisted eachother at some point. Up to you really.

Valter will very likely join in when he gets word of the contract, because he's worried about his territory. Also he won't be super excited about a ton of Witchers gathering together in his stomping grounds, so he'd want to help wrap things up and get back to normal.
