* Vindicare Stealth Suit- Like all wargear of the Officio Assassinorum, this matte-black bodyglove was crafted and fitted to specifications, and is comprised of Cameleoline-laced materials with a complex version of "synskin" to allow Joshua to blend in with his environment. The suit is resistant to abrasions and small-arms fire, yet is thin enough to be worn beneath ordinary clothing. The suit is bonded and gene-coded to Joshua's own body, and serves to enhance kinesthesia and reflexes. This gene-coding also serves to ensure that the suit will not function for anyone but himself without considerable reworking.
* Vindicare Spy Mask- A masterwork of human ingenuity. It is said that the design for the Spy Mask is little-understood even by the Tech-priests of Mars, and the creation of this incredibly technologically complex headgear is a secretive thing indeed. The mask is molded to fit Joshua's features (at least on the inside) and will always be a perfect fit, accenting and melding with the Stealth Suit he wears to create what seems to the casual onlooker to be a singular piece of technology. However, Joshua only wears the mask when he is actively deployed on a mission. The mask interfaces directly to Joshua's cerebellum through a pair of neural links, one on either side of his head. When the neural link is established, the mask's sensorium suite and predictive augurs exload a constant stream of data. Trajectories, atmospherics, thermal imaging, psychic spoor, all are superimposed directly onto Joshua's FOV. The mask allows him to see through dense smoke, driving snow, and can even identify likely weak points in his victim's defenses, based upon intel inloads and probability scripture.
* Fatigues & Storm Coat- A set of nondescript, matte-black Astra Militarum-grade fatigues and combat boots worn over Joshua's stealth-suit. Over the rest of the panoply, Joshua wears a black, knee-length Storm Coat, in which he hides both his Spy Mask and several individual rounds of specialized ammunition.
Weapons
* "Veritas" (Exitus Rifle)- Veritas, Joshua's Exitus Rifle was crafted to his own specifications by a Magos-Artisan of the Adeptus Mechanicus. As such it is (along with every other Exitus Rifle,) among the finest examples of Imperial weaponsmithing. The weapon possesses its own sophisticated Machine Spirit, which is sleek and lethal. Veritas can utilize specialized ammunition for almost any situation, to puncture nearly all known forms of defense. Veritas incorporates both a silencer and a selector switch, allowing Joshua to swiftly switch between loaded ammunition types and fire with minimal audio footprint. The telescopic scope is highly advanced, and is wirelessly linked to Joshua's spy mask, allowing for seamless integration of acquired data from one sensorium suite to another.
* Exitus Pistol- Made for Joshua in tandem with his rifle, this autopistol rarely sees use, though it is no less a feat of impressive engineering than its big brother. The pistol also fires the ever-impressive exitus ammunition, and is capable of loading the same specialized defense-breaking ammunition as well. Despite its elegance and lethality, the pistol is a backup weapon, and if Joshua has to draw it, it usually means that he missed something, or failed in some way.
* Combat Knife- Standard-issue. Never leave the Temple without it.
Equipment
* Exitus Ammunition- Exitus rounds contain miniaturized Cogitator targeting-spirits (guidance computers) that make them nearly impossible to avoid when aimed well. Exitus rounds can also be programmed to self-destruct. The rounds are disintegrated, consumed as if destroyed by a virus, and leave no trace behind.
* Blind Grenades- Grenades that explode with a burst of dense, dark grey smoke including infrared bafflers and broadband electromagnetic spectrum chaff, all designed to block eyesight and even advanced visual detection. The effect is short-lived, but while it lasts it provides an excellent cover for advancing forces, or in Joshua's case, a swift retreat or repositioning. These grenades are carried in a bandolier across his chest.
Personality
Joshua is calm, collected, and calculating. He is a man of few words, and a cold, hard logic. His manner is nearly unflappable, even in the most dire of circumstances. He is unquestioningly loyal to his employer, and when he has a mission, he is monofocused almost to a fault. He is not a
pleasant individual to pal around with, yet he is neither rude, nor savage (despite his aptitude for taking life.) He is often described as 'robotic.'
