If we could measure and harness the level of stress everyone is feeling this week, we could probably power the country for a long time.

My new obsession: kobolds. Reason: buncha cuties.

Bio

I'll fix up this Bio later to make it real nice. For now, know I used to RP all the time but I had a few years hiatus. I'm back!

Preferred RP types: Fantasy (high or low), sometimes Slice of Life, sometimes Sci-Fi.

Oh, and I want to clarify: are we assuming everyone who isn’t a regular worker or an Heir is in Sk8te, or can there be other unaffiliated gangs and such?

I'm assuming the terminology used is by the Sk8tes and not universal. It makes sense to me that a type of people would categorize everyone else into a few broad terms.

Speaking of terms, is Sk8tes pronounced "Skates" or "Skate-tees?" I only ask because the 8 would usually remove the need for 'te' in a word. Like Sk8 gets the former across perfectly.
Just wanted to put out there that I'm still highly interested! I'm hard leaning towards a thief now, as mentioned earlier.

My idea is basically every "organization' of Sk8ters has to have a branch of under-the-table acquisitions. These smuggled goods have to come from somewhere, right? Like every other role, these guys (which I'll refer to as Fingers until I or someone else comes up with a better term) tend to work alone and off the grid. Each Finger has their own methods and equipment, e.g. using Virtual Cloaking to hide themselves from cameras, hacking cameras within their closed network via Ocular App: Trojan, or disabling the power completely with some good old-fashioned breakers. Plus, there are usually specialized thieves. Grand Theft Auto, Vault Heist, Heir Honeypot.

Some thieves acquire more heat than others, but as long as they get the job done without implicating themselves or anyone else, then they will chalk it up as a success. Most, if not all, thieves dislike confrontation. This means that any job that involves directly interacting with live security or includes the intent to harm an individual as part of the objective are usually turned down. This does not mean they will not protect themselves when cornered, as they typically learn self-defense or carry a personal protection device.
So far we're balanced with force-sensitive and those that aren't!
Hello! Throwing in my interest, I'm familiar with some cyberpunk and think I wanna try my hand at it here, too. If you're taking more, that is. My immediate interest is definitely in Sk8te as a runner of some sort. You said that most people's interaction with them is their courier service, but does that mean they can also do other under-the-table things? I'm imagining stuff like in-person spies, thieves, black market.

As a long-time fan of D&D (among other RPGs), I've always loved thieves. Maybe not for the typical Cred but rather against Corpos who have more than enough to share?

Maybe a Kaminoan Jedi. Focused on the tenets and spiritual side of the Code rather than martial ability. Serves as researcher and healer, when the time calls for it.
I'm also in consideration for a Jedi, though I'm hoping to do a subclass like from any of the games where the focus is on various Force powers rather than martial ability. How do we feel about an unarmed monk archetype?

To clarify, I'm thinking of a Consular-type. Something like a Sage, Healer, or Researcher.
Hello! A friend and I are curious about any story direction. I see the mention of force-heavy elements, do you have a plot in mind?
