Sylruna Velaryn
Sylruna turned toward the Legion officer, studying him thoughtfully. His suggestion had merit, though she could see potential complications. Her time dealing with proud populations had taught her that sometimes a show of force could inflame tensions rather than calm them.
"A practical suggestion," she said diplomatically, offering a respectful nod to Alexios. "Though I wonder if such a visible military presence might not draw more attention to our activities?" She absently traced one of the glowing runes on her sleeve as she considered the implications. "The sight of additional Legion forces might make the locals wonder what's important enough to warrant such protection."
She glanced around the candlelit chapel before continuing, her tone gentle but focused. "Perhaps we could combine your approach with something more subtle? The Legion's presence could serve as a visible distraction, while some of us..." she gestured to herself and then vaguely to the others gathered, "...work more discreetly to ensure the delegates' safety? My experience with illusion magic could help us move through the city unnoticed, if needed."
Her crimson eyes flickered with a hint of curiosity as she regarded the officer. "You seem familiar with Bruma's defenses. What's your assessment of the most discrete routes through the city? I've spent some time there, but a Legion perspective would be invaluable."
