It had only been a week since she had moved into the area. She had actually straight-up bought an abandoned house on the edge of town that no one had lived in for ages. Of course it needed some touching up to do, but surprising it had stood the test of time for being an older house - at least enough that it had passed code in order for her to buy and live in it. Honestly, it wasn't so bad and she spent the first week setting up her utilities, internet, all the adulting that needed to be done to get it all running. She even made sure her gaming desktop had been set up properly in her bedroom, decor sprawled across the rooms (as much as she owned) and went about carving some sigils into the doorways. For a moment, Gloria wondered if she'd be seen as the creepy witch lady on the outskirts of town. 'Damn, didn't think of that,' she thought to herself, groaning softly.

There was no helping it now. Instead, she had decided to take a nice relaxing walk up to the Red Lake, a landmark that had given the town it's namesake. While yes, she heard of the wolf attacks, she felt unusually confident that she would be just fine. It may have been an old tradition for witches to believe in werewolves and vampires, but bringing a bit of wolfsbane definitely made her feel more at ease, even though the attacks were probably more just packs of wolves getting hungry. She reached up to pull back her orange dyed hair into a makeshift ponytail before letting it all go, falling to her shoulders.

Before her was a carefully, almost obsessively drawn circle, with runic symbols carved into the dirt at twelve equally spaced intervals on the inside of it. Truly, it was a bit amazing she was able to keep the wind from blowing all her hard work away, but somehow it endured. Gloria had even picked a spot free from grass, weeds, and flowers as she sat on a blanket she had brought, cross-legged. In her hands she held a red leather journal and a pen, watching the sun for a few moments before seeming to study the circle and making a few notes in the book. Really, even as far as most Wiccans went, it was only a guess as to why she was taking notes on a magical circle. Of course, she knew perfectly well why she was doing it and seemed totally focused on it - though whenever the camping group got there, they'd still notice she wasn't exactly unapproachable either.

Gloria often switches her dyed hair from orange to red, depending on her fancy, which is usually the most striking feature of the human. Her eyes are hazel, having a unique mix and blue and green at all times, usually seen as swirl patterns. Besides this, she stands at roughly 5'5" and seems more on the thin side, however of a still healthy weight - giving her curves in the right places. Most would consider her cute over pretty, but both words seem to describe her features just as well. She does have scars, but they are at her lower sides, thighs and one that goes across her shoulder. Most people notice them when they are exposed, since despite her natural healing factor, look like they must've really hurt at some point.

Despite being an obvious introvert - if one is observant about such things - Gloria seems very confident in what she does and how she does it, at least when it comes to her job and her errands. With people, she can come off as quiet, even shy if the right people try appraoching her. Though it becomes apparent quickly in dealing with her that she is sweet and friendly. Even when presented with things she hates, she will still try her best to see and understand others.

Which brings the second thing that a lot of people tend to notice about her: she is thoughtful and intelligent. Even the look behind her eyes when she is listening and observing speaks of consistent thought. However even with being a sweetheart and smart, she can be very stubborn about certain things when presented with a view point or opinion that simply doesn't make sense to her. If she cannot make sense of it, it will endlessly frustrate her, even if she's respectful about it. Which brings her to the last defining trait to her personality - being a hardcore romantic. Not only is she a romantic, but she is also very sensitive about how others treat her and see her, wanting approval and love. Sadly, her veiwpoint on love is a depressing one, almost believing that she'll die alone.

Normally, she loves playing video games. A lot. So much in fact that most people think it's really her only hobby. Well, that and her Wicca practices apparently. However she does have other hobbies, though they are watching Let's Plays of games usually and reading short stories on the internet.

Gloria was born in a household where the husband was the abused and before she was even a year old, her mother was sent to jail where she ended up getting murdered three years later during a riot. It was all over the news. Her father never truly recovered though he was a kind man and taught her the value of being compassionate to others, though it was done indirectly. Despite how sweet he was, he actually spent very little time with his daughter, practically ignoring her as she grew up. It was as if she almost raised herself.

She spent most of her life without friends or at least anyone really, truly being there for her or wanting to spend time outside of school or various other events. It always felt like she was second place, or third, or eighteenth in someone's circle of friends, which never made her feel like she ever had anyone in the first place. Even when she came out as liking girls and was somewhat accepted for it, her girlfriends made it a habit to break up with her after only a few months. A lot of them saying she was too clingy or too sensitive and got fed up. This only lead her into more depression and she would've killed herself, if it wasn't for a specific event.

Afterwards, she turned to the Wicca religion and began practicing traditions of a witch, though of course no one thought magic was real, it still gave her some comfort - a sense of purpose in the world. She continued to learn about herself and found a minor passion in numbers, having recgonized that she essentially sees the world in variables and branching logic trees. She then took to college, ignoring the loneliness and depression as best as she could, and became an officially certified public accountant.

Moving to a town that was decent in size, but housed more of the rich families, she easily found her niche. She was good enough with numbers that she built a reputation and became a personal accountant to one of the richest families in the town. This started to lead to a deep romance with one of the women in the community, a neighbor of her client's that for once in her life, she felt important and wanted. Fate had other things in mind however and only a few months into the romance, Gloria's girlfriend was found dead from unknown causes. Deciding it was time to move on and especially to get away from memories of a broken heart, she finally moved to Red Lake. The small town appealed to her, where she can be more at peace, but still worked for her client at a distance.

@Universorum Well it was kind of meant as a funny... sorry if you felt offended by it? And @Charnobylisk is right, it's not like Rose's opinion is set in stone. Unlike most people in the world, she actually doesn't believe in first impressions. So if Belle ends up redeeming herself in the future, Melrose will see her differently. It's not in her character to switch cars though... and Belle should only stop talking if it's in her nature to stop talking - I would've thought she'd comment on Rose being quiet or ask or something, but it's not my character. ^.^
