Gotta get yourself a droid buddy to be your voice.
I've got Binary on my list
Should we post up sheets in the Character tab?
I'll level with you, boss: I was hoping accepted sheets got posted so I could scope out which of the support builds I liked better lmao. But anyway, yeah, I can get it to you shortly after handling groceries and other housekeeping stuff.

BTW if I wanted to take Crime Lord for some talents, would I have to arrange for a means ICly to actually become a lord of a criminal enterprise before taking levels or is qualifying based on skill and talents sufficient?
@Lurking Krog This is very much a Multiclassing system. Pureclassing isn't the best, but it's not bad. So, absolutely feel free to multi-class. Hell, one character i theorycrafted had bits from 3 primary classes.

@Lurking Krog

I will expand on this a little: in addition to considering base class combos, it's worth looking into Prestige Classes you might want since many of those have both really good talent trees and qualifications that are pretty strict. Some are more forgiving towards class selection than others, depending on how efficiently you want to access them. For example, Elite Trooper really wants you to be either Jedi or Soldier 7 with a few specific feat choices if you want it ASAP, but Ace Pilot is just "have a feat and a skill".

I'd recommend at least considering Elite Trooper, since it has the "Greater Weapon Focus/Specialization/Combat Feat" talents that damage dealers want, or Gunslinger, for trick shots, but there's other stuff you could look at.

Oh, yeah that reminds me.

What's the over and under on buying personal equipment or tricking out existing Imperial-provided stuff? Will the bureaucrats get mad?
But do we get cool space ships
Put me in Alderaan, coach. What am I lookin' at?
@MacabreMoth I did say in the Interest Check, being that we have people who have never played the system before, i think it'd be better to start at Level 1.

And yes, the "Pilot/Heavy Weapons" combo actually works quite well. Because i've never actually gotten the opportunity to play the game, i have theorycrafted a number of characters over the last 11 years i've been aware of this game. I did theorycraft a Pilot/Heavy-Trooper.

That being said, i'd recommend either Noble or Scoundrel for pilot, as Scoundrel gets some nice talents to help him with Starship combat, and Noble is just a great skillmonkey-class.

Gotcha.

Piloting's pretty Feat-heavy so it pairs best with a Talent-heavy ground focus. I kinda like Noble for that since you can either be buffer or just yell at people until they give up, but CHA makes me just a lil' mad, yeah. Granted, I'm probably best positioned to take CHA other than the Inquisitor, but...

Yeah, I think I just talked myself into starting Noble, lol. Considering Fondor or Alderaan depending on how funny I want to be.
Did we ever determine if we were going Level 1 or Level 3 for the start?

At any rate, I'm considering some kind of Noble/Scout build for my pilot. Probably from one of the big Imperial political planets since I like the concept of idle rich going into the military, and being a Face on the ground sounds fun.

Although I am also considering just leveraging the overlap to make a character who flies good and shoots big gun, since Vehicular Combat qualifies characters for some of the heavy gunner feats without needing the Prof: Heavy feat...
