Afina dressed in a pair of red skinny jeans and wore a Fall Out Boy t-shirt. On the shirt were lyrics from their song Phoenix. She'd pulled her hair back into a singular, long red braid. Her eyes glimmered a vibrant green, but with every few blinks, it was as if they changed between other vibrant hues--every other color from amber to even an icy blue. She rested her elbow on their booth and then her cheek on her hand, leaning against it in slight boredom. Part of her wanted to slap every other member of the student council, but another part of her had already accepted their fate. It was "open up to new members" or "kiss your cult goodbye". She'd chosen the prior in order to prevent the club from being wiped away from campus like a smudge on a window.

A few random humans wandered over and looked at the info sheets provided and then scoffed. She could tell what they were thinking just by looking at changes in their eyes--a skill that she had possessed every lifetime that she had to suffer through. They thought the Night Garden was the laughing stock of campus, or better yet, a cult.

'If only they knew better... then they would cower at our feet... Oh, well. Shit happens, as the mortals like to call it.' She thought nonchalantly as she twirled a small strand of stray hair around her finger. Looking at her fellow officers, she couldn't help but dread the thought of their missing Secretary. They would need a new one... and it would most likely have to be a human to appease the higher-ups.

"The Night Garden is finally open to all students on campus!" She said in a somewhat cheery tone of voice, trying to get people's attention. "We offer a large variety of activities!"

Chapter One: Welcome to the Night Garden

Time: Second week of classes | Fall Semester
Weather: Warm, but breezy.
Current Events: Hallesdale College Club's Fair

Everyone is encouraged to attend the Club Fair that is taking place in courtyard of the college grounds!

Monsters who are in leadership roles of the Night Garden must be at the booth to encourage "normal people" to join.

Humans that are interested in joining should go talk to the people at the booth, because this is a strange club with stranger people running it!

There is a spell on the "info" sheets so that monsters can see the message: "If you can read this, then we are your people. -- People of the Night"

ANNOUNCEMENT

Greetings, my friends~!

I would like to announce and introduced my co-moderator, @glitchykins! She is a friend to me IRL, therefore it is easier for me to get into contact with her over RP matters, disputes, etc.

As she is my co-moderator, I ask you to please show her the same respect as you would me if there is ever a dispute or questions that need to be asked. If neither of us are available, we will try to help out as soon as possible.

Also, she and I have been bouncing ideas back and forth for what the RP will contain in regards to storyline and character development. This means that you are allowed to go about your own business (or someone else's), but please try to refrain from dragging the entire campaign away from the story and characters that we try to introduce.

Another thing that I would like to introduce to you folks is the front post of the OOC! I understand that you've most likely read through the rules (I would like to hope so, anyways!) and have gone about making sure you understand (somewhat) how the secret society of the monsters work.

As more monsters are added to our list, I will be discussing with the player that introduces them about the rules and regulations that will befall every single race. Yes, even my Phoenix will have a set of guidelines in which she will have to follow.

These are being put in place in hopes of "equalizing" monsters--so no one's species is more important or "better" than the others. I've seen this happen in past RP's that I have run using the same sort of concept. This is not an attack on you or your creativity, but a way to keep things in check and in balance.

No one wants their character to be less important because they have a weakness to wood (like vampires) or silver (like werewolves)! So most creatures will have their weaknesses posted in hopes of reminding everyone that god-moding is not appreciated nor desired.

I will be setting up a Google Doc in which everyone may view and see all of the different races, their weaknesses, their perks, and everything else that is generalized to that species!

Alrighty! So, we have approximately 5 characters that have been completed and are ready to start the show. I would prefer to have a few more male characters join in order to maintain balance. It's not required, but it helps with my weird gender OCD.

If you know anyone else that may be interested, you should hit them up and send 'em over here!

Other than that, once we receive maybe 2 more completed characters--we shall begin with the opening chapter.
