Aargonar
Ben Lomax
The unmistakable roar of the crowd and squeak of the metal gears rotating and grinding as the wood floor rose sent a chill down Ben Lomax's Back. Sure it wasn't the first time he heard these noises, felt the hot dirt hitting his skin. But never the less every time he did, it sickened him. Aargonar was a desolate place full of desert plains and sand hills the size of small cities. The life that covered patches of this land only consisted of run away bounties and thieves ready to rob the night. The planet itself was not known for any native species other than the Yuzzem that were brought. Mainly the point for this planet was for the Sith Empire.. and the games.
As the wooden platform made its way to a sudden halt, Ben could feel the sweat from the hot air dripping down his back and forehead. He gripped onto his sabers strong, as if in fear someone would take them from his hands. The Force seemed weak with him, as if not only all hope and justice was drained from this planet but anger as well, all emotions only to be filled with fear in the gaps. The dark voice of the alien announcer rang through the metal corridor that he was standing in. As his name rang through the metal "
Lomax!" He felt a rush of air as the metal plated door slid open feet in font of him. The roar of the crowd got louder and he took a step out into the light as it blinded him. He covered his eyes with his wrist, as both his hands were occupied by his light sabers.
It may have been dangerous work, even idiotic as some would say, but he needed money. After his years of training under Darth Gazer and seemly devoting his life to the Empire, he wasn't exactly welcome many places. He gleam of anger in his eye gave that away before his dark blood red saber could. Although the young man was conflicted by many. The anger that his eyes showed was countered by a kindness not known by any for the Sith Warriors to have. It was impossible. People felt shamed to let a man who in himself was conflicted work for their businesses along the rims. So he found work where he could. Here. In Aargonar, in the games. He would make bets on himself along with others then fight to the death against an unknown foe. He found strength in this as many who he fought were mere bandits or outlaws. Now knowing the strength that the force can provide.
The announcer spoke in his native tongue,
"Has everyone made their bets?" he shouted as many scrambled to their seats, tripping over each other, excited to watch the blood bath. Ben stretched his back as the long bells rung, he had won a few fights before, but he was tipped that this 'man' he was fighting was savage in his ways, and would not be taken down easy. As the metal doors rose opposite to Ben, he flicked his wrists and the screech of the blade erupted as the burning red saber showed.
