@Dark Cloud yep! But you only need to Risk It if you fail. You could either spend your +1d on the first attempt or the second
@Dark Cloud So you could do any of these things, the last two are mutually exclusive but you could use your dark heart for either one:
-spend a Dark Heart to gain +1d.
-Risk it: lose your Dominant Position to gain strong effect.
-or if you keep the dominant position, if you fail, you can instead decide to Risk It taking an average position average effect, giving you two chances.

you can't spend a dark heart to gain effect though :c

@Kenshi sure, you're all monsters after all. It may be an idea to discuss this sort of thing with other players OOC generally speaking, but I'm sure Krieg will return her in one piece... right...?

What skill would you like to use?
@Dark Cloud perfect! You have a dominant position average effect. You can roll to TRICK now, if you succeed you gain notoriety in Myre's Root. Vorath-Dakoth could grant you units to help in a future raid, or resources you might require, for now we'll say he owes you a favor. You can use this to tick a project clock too, for example, he could give you resources for the Mining Shaft if you wanted.

Roll it up :D

@Kenshi Sounds good.
@Dark Cloud ok so what skill are you using and what resources do you want to acquire?
@Kenshi so you can build tier 1, 2 or 3. Tier 1 traps you can accomplish with 1 roll, Tier 2 will require 0/4 actions (easy for groups) and tier 3 trap will require 0/8 actions to complete.

tier 1 trap is somewhat easy to avoid. Tier 2 traps are deadly. Tier 3 traps are the deadliest, likely to affect multiple adventurers.
the bush is thoroughly destroyed

*GM knowing results also sweats profusely*
@Dark Cloud so you can shoot the wand successfully but you don't notice anything.

Nobody looking at you notices anything change either.

roll me 3x 1d4 and add 1 to each roll for how much damage the magic missiles do.
@Dark Cloud you can roll me a wisdom check or perception to see if you feel any different. this'll be a quite hard roll, though ;D
downtime! doooowntiiiime! downtimedowntimedowntiiime!

After the revelry calms down, you can spend some time building up the dungeon, planning the next raid, or working on something devilish of your own divising. You can build traps, craft potions, work on rituals, or break a prisoner's spirit, ect. Here's how downtime works:

• Each Dungeon Lord takes one downtime action.

• You can pay Minions 1 gold to undertake a downtime action on their own. I don't think anyone has the 2 gold to do this, but good to keep in mind for the future.
• Certain Calling abilities grant additional Downtime actions.
• You can flashback to perform downtime actions that are immediately relevant to a scene, paying cost to represent the strenuous effort. We haven't spoken about this yet, but we'll cover it more next raid.

When you perform a downtime action, you make an action roll like SKULK, SMASH, BANTER, ect. Downtime actions have dominant position, unless there is an overwhelming circumstance towards position. You generally have enough time to safely work on a project. However, you can choose to Risk it and take a normal position to recklessly push yourself to accomplish something, risking bad consequences, but if you do so you must accept the result, warts and all.

Downtime actions:
-> B R E W a concoction or potion, making two doses.
Commonly used Actions: INVOKE • SCAN • TINKER

-> B U I L D a lock, room, trap or trick. The project tier equals the tier of what you're building.
Commonly used Actions: FINESSE • SCAN • SMASH • TINKER • TRICK

-> C O N T A C T a Vile Friend, Faction, or other NPC to gain information, ask for help, or make demands. The Project tier depends on how much you ask for.
Commonly used Actions: BANTER • THREATEN • TRICK

-->C R A F T an item, edge, or contraption. The project tier of a contraption is it's tier. A mundane item is a tier 1 project and adding an edge to an item is tier 2. Contraptions are always volatile.
Commonly used Actions: FINESS • SCAN • TINKER

-> I N C A N T a ritual, preparing it to be performed or finishing it off and performing it. You can achieve powerful magical effects or make magic items. Rituals have special requirements that must be fulfilled before they can be performed.
Commonly used Actions: FINESSE • INVOKE • SCAN

-> R E C R U I T a pack of minions or attract a creature without having to spend gold. This is always a tier 1 project. You can only do this if you have an open minion slot of creature lair.
Commonly used Actions: BANTER • THREATEN • SMASH • TRICK

-> T O R T U R E a prisoner to force them to reveal a single secret or break their spirit and make them do something for you. Getting information is always a tier 1 project and each prisoner knows a number of secrets equal to their tier. Torturing is risky buisness, often killing a prisoner or pushing them to do something extreme. Tis is an overwhelming circumstance towards position.
Commonly used Actions: BANTER • SKULK • THREATEN • TRICK

The months stretch by leisurely as you watch the halls form around you, satisfied with the direction you enforce upon the imps. Tunnels become chambers, chambers become furnished - sparsely - by what spoils you can rustle up, most of which provided by Zaz'ak's discovery of the wagon all that time ago. Krieg's maze stretches into the darkness, threatening to tear future invaders from their comrades. Darc's slime imps wander around the hallways, scooping up loose stones and slowly dissolving them so as to leave no trace on the world outside. Baganaria mysterious cocoons still linger in the silent minion room. As construction draws to a close - for now - you finally have a moment to take stock and relax. Phardax even manages to keep his prisoner alive in his quarters all this time.

You relax in your newly built Sanctum, staring at the meagre hoard you have claimed with satisfaction. It would be a shame for it to go to waste, and it has been a long time since you let loose. There will be plenty more treasures and splendour in your future, as newly minted Dungeon Lords, so why not live a little? Building your hoard will take time, but a freshly built Dungeon is something to celebrate.

You splurge as Krieg claims a great valuable item from the hoard with a mighty roar and the revelries of the night begin! Hard work can wait till the morning, you have so many schemes and plots to put into action, mad creations to build and challenges to overcome.

All stress is cleared - reset your stress to 0.

Please narrate your loot rolls as part of your post if you haven't done already, whether that's Revelry or discovering a new item in the hoard:
@Kenshi - Success. Draws a Valuable Item: Bloodstone, let me know if you decided on something else.
@VeyrinDay - Mixed Success, Gain 1 Gold or spend it on Revelry instead
@Dark Cloud - Mixed Success Gain 1 Gold or spend it on Revelry instead
@POOHEAD189 - Failure - You enjoy some revelry, gain a dark heart. If you already have 2 Dark Hearts, you instead overdo it!

And with that, we are entering the Lurking phase, which means you can start working on your first Downtime Project! You can do things like build traps/rooms, craft potions, work on rituals or break a prisoner's spirit for information. Check the OOC for a full list of options and let me know there what you choose.

@VeyrinDay I know you and @Dark Cloud were talking about recruiting minions, you can do that now! You can contact your Vile Friend or even stumble across a roving band of minions, just remember you must pay 1 gold to enlist them under your banner.
@Dark Cloud every rp goes through slow spots sometimes. Things will pick up soon
