I don't plan on going everywhere. Just stay in sight; the forest isn't very kind to outsiders.

I’m less concerned about a forest’s opinion of me and more concerned about being subjected to the chaos of a region of the mind separated from the host’s presence.
<Snipped quote by Magnanimity>

Got it.
*Eventually the mudlands filters back into a dense forest, with what seems like twilight peeking through the trees*
Be careful here, you can get lost real quick.

*Turns my head over to face you*
As long as you don’t wander away when I’m not looking.
<Snipped quote by Magnanimity>

Sort of like an apparition?

Kind of. It wouldn’t be wrong to call it that.
<Snipped quote by Magnanimity>

That was an impressive trick! How'd you do it?

It's a mere manifestation. No different than something I'd do in the real world.

@Server
Well, when you come to think about it, most ghosts are remnants from living people, unless they are other entities too, they normally do not belong in the world of the living, those who built said house and the planet that is populated by said people. They are beings who are mostly confused about their situation or entirely parasitical in nature. Therefore it is highly unlikely that any physical house on any given world and society, is a house that actually can belong to ghosts and ethereal beings. Their true homes must be in an equally spiritual realm as their nature, not lingering among the memories they had when they were living.

I'm not terribly sure we'll actually find any spirits of that sort here.

Forests are definitely nicer than... well... this! But, one does not debate tastes...

<Snipped quote by Magnanimity>

From that perspective i totally have to agree with you! HAH! Nothing like a dingy dungeon to crawl through! *I grin with new-found vigour*

<Snipped quote by Magnanimity>

Both points are valid. Who does go into a haunted house though? And why would you? Also, there's a point to be made there, a haunted house is usually considered abandoned by its original owners, therefore whomever buys that plot, now owns that property... the ghosts need to find the light in that situation.

*Nods*

What is it you’re trying to get at from that angle?

<Snipped quote by Magnanimity>

So is all of this familiar to you then Jade? Did that crocodile, or whatever it was in the swamp earlier, not felt like a foreign entity?

*Raises an eyebrow to this question*
<Snipped quote by Magnanimity>

*Eventually it opens up into a clearing with a pale blue sky under a muted white sun, which washes out the colors of the area world like an overexposed photograph, and grass sticks up from the water with the boardwalk visible in the distance*
I agree!

*Squints through it at the shift of brightness, and flicks the wrist of my hand out to my side, dissolving the ball of light into a small bunch of fading sparkles*
<Snipped quote by Magnanimity>

It's pretty shallow overall. The deepest parts you can submerge yourself, but others only go up to your knees. But the mud. There's so much mud.

Mud really stands out on white hair, you know. Glad to be dodging that bullet.

Yep! These trees thrive in the bog by having a ton of smaller, twisting roots that go everywhere. They're great places for fish to hide if you ever want to catch something.

It’s not terribly deep then either. At least in most spots.
<Snipped quote by Magnanimity>

Yep! Also really easy to drown with all the trees.
*A reptilian creature swims just next to the three of us, barely poking a set of scales above water*

*Glances to the side at it for just a moment, but otherwise goes out of my way to pay it no mind*
Drown from the trees? Are the roots exposed under the water or something, so you can get tangled up in them?
<Snipped quote by Magnanimity>

Every now and then, but I'd risk getting yelled at for it.

I can imagine. It’s probably messy.
