Spring, Day 1 - New Year's Day
The Huntsmen's Guild; Becks' House

Ah yes. Another year, another adventure awaits. Due to the Beck siblings having to work in shifts thanks to the whole “monsters-appear-at-night-now” mess, people would barely see both Natalie and Michael up until near the afternoon. There are still cases where both manage to wake up early, to either's dismay.

A tarantula making it's way into their house? Well, that's one of them.

“Nat- NAT, PUT THE RIFLE DOWN.” Michael had to restrain Natalie from shooting the eight-legged arachnid on the wall to not run the risk of said wall being damaged. Again. Nat herself was low-key freaking out. Anything with more than two legs was unnatural, and no, the monsters don't count!

“I'm not letting the demon of insects in my home, not now, not ever! BEGONE, FOWL BEAST!” Natalie freed herself from her brother's grip, and shot the tarantula in it's abdomen, letting it collapse onto the floor. “Blegh, now I gotta clean it up...” she repressed a gag, and went back upstairs to grab their cleaning supplies.

“Anyways, got a call from the mayor, gotta bring something for the New Year's picnic, dinner? later? Not sure what to get him though.” Michael explained, mumbling the last part as he walked by the staircase.

“Weeeeell, wanna head out to kill something? Bear? Deer?”

“Don't we always bring roadkill to the event?”

Natalie faked pout at Michael. “Ya don't have to put it like that.” she continued to clean the bug guts off the wall and floor. “Besides, what else can we bring other than our recent kill?”

“Flowers? Fruit? Monster loot?” Michael listed out to her.

“....Good point. So! You got the Guild this time, right? Thanks, bro!” Natalie got up to grab some of their equipment, regardless of her brother's answer, she left for the woods anyways, even if he was slightly ticked. He was. He couldn't blame her though.

Personality: At first glance, Ren appears quiet and well-mannered, but this behavior is a profound ruse that hides the heart of a rebellious trickster. He is extremely resistant to rigid and dogmatic forms of control-based authority and order. He has received much criticism, insults, opposition and even death threats for his rebellious nature, whether it be his targets, school staff, or disapproving comments left on the Phantom Aficionado Website. However, despite all this, the Phantom Thieves have also received a good deal of support. He taunts his enemies, alike the original phantom thief, Arsene Lupin, and tends to be flamboyant at times (not to mention a bit of a show-off). Ren has a strong sense of justice, despite his infamous reputation. He's been noted to have a "gambler's spirit”, and has an assertive nature. despite being quiet, once he has made up his mind, Joker won't take no for an answer, and he possesses the courage and determination to take action, have a free heart, despite his social standing and how others view him. That he never stops choosing his own path. Though if one of his friends were in trouble, Joker would be more than willing to be reckless at times, as long as they end up safe. You can't really blame him for wanting to help his friends out, despite teasing them once in a while.

A strange being, based off the character from Maurice Leblanc's novels, and the other self that exists within Joker. Strong against curse and fire attacks, Arsene is his initial persona, specializing in curse skills.

For some reason, Arsene's skill set seem to be limited back to Eiha, a light curse attack that can only target one ally at a time, but has a chance of a temporary poison effect.

During Joker's time in the Dead Zone, Arsene has regained the skill Cleave, a weak physical attack.

Strengths:

- Jack-of-Trades: He's adaptable. Skilled at, well, alot of things.

- Confidants: Joker can make easily make connections with people that can give him strength, and vice versa. Given that he's built up their trust first.

- Third Eye: More observant than most people, it's like Joker has a hidden mind's eye, able to see anything that might be of importance.

Weaknesses: Despite all this, Joker's still human, not to mention a teen. He can't afford to be defeated in battle if it puts his team in danger, especially since he's, in a way, weak without the bonds he makes with his confidants. Even Arsene is weak against Ice and Bless attacks, thus affecting Joker as well.

The Phantom Thieves - Joker is the leader of the Phantom Thieves, fellow persona users who use their powers, and knowledge of the Metaverse for good, and the friends he made and helped during his probation. He still hopes they're okay...

Bayonetta - An umbra witch he met during his time in Smash Bros. Despite what people think, their noted similarities are just mere coincidence. Though that's hard to believe when they both defeated their worlds' gods (Er, cognitive god and creator goddess) in the most extra way possible.

Frisk - Though they haven't really met before, Frisk's pacifist ways of ending a fight remind Joker of the times he spared shadows through interrogations. Though, he did have a gun pointed at them, but that doesn't really matter.

Though relatively weaker than most specializations, Anaya can use sound (or music if you're formal) magic to play an offensive and supportive role in combat.

Regenerating mana faster, Anaya can survive any near-fatal injury, even ones that have her limbs chopped clean off. Although her neck is a considered weak point now.

Corrupted Third Eye:
Other than half of the normal abilities from a third eye, Anaya can see the weak points of enemies and other magical girls, and her simple gaze can make others feel an intense negative emotion such as hate, sorrow, or fear.

She also has a bit of X-ray vision, which is self-explanatory but still cool.

Enhanced Sustenance:
Anaya doesn't need to sleep much, can suppress her hunger longer, and doesn't even need to breathe.

Disguise Artifact:
A small ring with a morganite cut into a teardrop shape, Anaya can use the ring to disguise herself as another person for a short time, down to the voice.

Soul Jar:
Adding more to her ironic theme of specters, Anaya's soul has been transferred to a small lantern like soul jar, usually kept around her neck as a necklace.

Interdimentional Home:
Self explanatory, Anaya can warp to an apartment building in what seems to be another dimension. She can bring five other people to her apartment, if she wished.

Closure:
To forgive is to forget. Once Anaya became a magical girl, everything that proved her past self's existence was erased.

Mystic Artifact:
A mysterious antique music box. When Anaya winds it up, she can see what's happening in either the past, present, or future, but only once a week for some reason.

Avalon (Ebon Mint) and Crawley/Itgar (Horrors)

As custom, Avalon gave Anaya a black coin, who used it two months in her magical girl life.

Non-Exclusivity:
Anaya chose to work with a horror called Crawley, as long as she knew that her true alliance is with the Ebon Mint.

A small crow on the back of her neck, Crawley marked Anaya as one of his puppeteers, and so any lesser monster avoids her in fear.

Minions:
Anaya can summon her own minions to assist her in combat.

Reasonable:
Crawley actually doesn't wanna destroy the mortal realm. It has a much more complicated plan, and might need the realm one day. Not now, but someday...

When Anaya looks into the eyes of another magical girl, she can know if they are working with another horror, and can get a clear idea of their weakness.

Curiously, one of Anaya's patron made it to where if she needs somewhere to be, she would always have a griffin to ride on. But who gave her the mythical creature?

Personality:
Tending to speak as little as possible, Anaya is a soft-spoken introvert who gets to her points quick. Her cute demeanor is a guise, hiding her remorseless and psychotic nature. Though since returning, she's become more relaxed, mischevous even. More willing to cooperate with others, so long as she can have a bit of fun while doing it.

History:
For as long as she can remember, Anaya had been in the hospital for most of her life, sickly and weak. One night, when she turned 24, her patron, Avalon Browen, visted her in hopes of getting a new recruit. Apparently, her mother was a very powerful magical girl, before chosing her father over fighting monsters. Not wanting to stay in the hospital anymore due to cabin fever, she accepted, a coin being placed in her hand before she became a kid again.

The first two months were hard, as she had a rough time fighting monsters with what she had, even from her patrons. So she finally used her black coin, and got a second power. But only for a debt, and becoming a dark magical girl.

A quick visit to the local magic hotspot, Penrose, led to her and her temporary partner Eliza to revolt with a few others against a monster girl named Justine. But Anaya seemed to dissapear before the castle the battle took place in collapsed. For the most part, she just went back to work with her patrons. Yet a premonition from her music box proved that her time in Penrose wasn't over.

So when the call of death reached out to her, she answered, and returned to fight.

Of course. Though her brother was at first skeptical about the storries that their mother told them as kids, Natalie grew to have a true fascination for the Harvest Sprites and Goddess. Now with The Rot seemingly drawing monsters in, her belief became stronger that there is something, someone out there. You just need to know where to look.

Most animals around the town are probably afraid of Natalie, in all honesty. But she does have a pet beagle named Reese, who helps her out at work.

H O M E L I F E

Doubling as their job location, Natalie and Michael both live down the road from the post office (#10). With the main floor acting as the Huntsmen's Guild (“Name's a bit of a work in progress...”) they had to move their actual house upstairs. The Huntsmen's Guild itself doesn't get much activity, or workers unfortunately. People usually come in to request an animal or two for them to kill for 'em, for a price. More recently it's been updated to adapt against the risk of monsters attacking Root River.

S T O R Y

Originally living in the suburbs as a child, Natalie and Michael moved to Root River five years ago with their mother's stories in mind. How she would tell them about the Harvest Goddess, the sprites in the forests, and something about a curse she had overheard when she still lived there. The Rot, perhaps. Life was normal for the most part. They spent their days in the woods hunting deer and rabbit and such. But when BigCo had their sights set on the town, something changed. Of course Natalie refused every offer on their small plot of land, but at night, strange creatures, monsters, started to appear within the darkness of the forest. And as the town's huntsmen, the siblings decided to take it upon them to protect Root River from this sudden abnormality, while trying to find a way to reverse The Rot's effects.

Honestly? I don't think so. RE4, for better or worse (in the fandom, anyway, I've heard many a fan who dislike RE4), was a monumentally influential game both for the RE series and games at the time, and its legacy is such that it is constantly ported to the point where RE4 is pretty much on any system out there and for relatively cheap. Unlike the PS1 games which were products of their time, RE4 is still fairly modern so what's there to remake in it, really? If anything I'd assume next on the list for remake is Code Veronica.
