"Ah thanks. I suppose we have another student, named uhhhh" He responded, pulling up the paper and reading the name aloud.
"Charles McCloud. Uh, find a seat I suppose. Anyway, costumes. Come up here and get yours, they'll have a note telling you all about what they can do and why they are designed the way they are"

"It sure is, flame girl. I gotta say you're pretty tall" came the slow, relaxed response of the other new girl, her eyes fixed on the fire, her face still smiling like an oaf. She didn't call her by her real name, instead 'fire girl' but it wasn't meant as a derogatory thing, more as a new little nickname. She was cut off from further talk as another boy slammed his way into the class, and though she didn't seem too afraid, she slowly moved her head past the new tall girl to see him, giving a dainty little wave before moving back and reclining into her seat. When that same boy immediately moved towards the girl with flame hair she merely chuckled.
"Gee, you're not one for subtlety? Heheh" She chuckled afterwards, a snort at the end.

Suddenly the room began to grow colder, to the point that one's breath could be seen. The lights dimmed as a long, masculine sigh echoed through the room. Walking into the class was a hunched over Xavier. His eyes seemed so much less active and excited, his body slightly more thinned out and longer, his hair all drooped down and slightly covering his eyes. There were bags under his eyes, and there where slightly red from what one can only assume was crying. He held a large box in his hands that he placed with a large thud onto the podium before looking to the class, taking a moment to just stare at them before giving a deep breath and speaking in a droning, shaky voice.
"Class" He began, his eyes growing glassy now.

"It is with a heavy heart I share some information with you all. A fellow student of your classroom, Baxter Crash, was found dead at 3:48 A.M. this morning. With him, another U.A. student, Lua Taako, was found dead with him. If you haven't noticed, because of this, a student was to take his place, but we found the backups had almost identical scores and so I agreed to take them both. Meet Karen Koning, and, my own Daughter. Ayn Walker" He responded, gesturing to the two of them. He let out a groan as he turned his head, mummbling to himself over how he isn't doing this right.

"it's terrifying to think of an apprentice such as you all being defeated by a villain, but it's the fact of the matter that it's dangerous and if you don't keep your cool, this could be you. But, don't be discouraged. This is what you are learning to fight, now you have an incentive. We won't ever forget Baxter, what little time you had with him, but the quicker we train you, the better you can use those skills to save people from similar issues" He responded. There was a long silence after this before he clapped his hands together loudly.
"Now then! I have your costumes. Karen, they made you one based on your request from the past class, however, they may have taken advantage of the fact they can use the transfer as an excuse to add whatever they like. Ayn already has a costume she brought herself. Would you all like to see them?"
@olcharlieboi
It makes it out as if you have above human durability, and I would like you to take that out.
The burst of a flaming woman into the room caused the sleeping lady to let out an abrupt snort, stirring her from her rest as she slowly moved up, letting out a loud yawn, stretching backwards and then to the sides. When she noticed the others, she gave then a dopey smile, waving and signaling the flame lady to come and sit next to her. She seemed a bit out of it. She was very slow moving and had that goofy smile, her eyes only half opened.
"Oh cool, people are here. How are y'all? Call me hughes"
@olcharlieboi go for it

Name: Ayn Walker Hughes

Gender: Feminine

Age: 16-years-old

Appearance:

Personality: Ayn is a bit of a dominating presence. Loud, obnoxious, persistent, stubborn and crass are understatements for who she is. Prone to using violence to answer problems and acting on impulse but sticking to her word, she's a not the most calming presence. She is a very violent person, not the best at following rules or toning herself down. That being said, these are more the extremes of her, when she's feeling intense emotions of any kind. Usually, she's pretty lazy, though her filter is off, she'll tend to talk often and retain these attributes but to a more laid-back way, more talkative but goofier in what she thinks and says. She isn't a bad person either, she fights for what she thinks is right and does what she thinks will help herself and those she cares for. She is easily embarrassed by her father or her real name too and often tries to mask her feelings with said aggressive persona. Deep down she just wants friends. Real friends who will care for her, but is too skeptical to let the average person into who she is. Her complicated thoughts and cocktail of emotions. She is a loose cannon because of them, but she won't let anyone go near these concepts. The kind of girl that would bare fangs at god, but only if she's got the energy, that's Ayn.

Quirk/power: Snooze: When anyone looks at Ayn's eyes, she is capable of causing them drowsiness to varying degrees, all the way to causing an hour-long sleep. In doing this, she energizes herself, allowing herself to feel more energized and awake. Once someone has fallen asleep she can no longer sap from them, and eye contact must be made.

Flaw: Despite her rash attitude and behavior, her biggest flaw is her quirk's inability to compensate with overloads. Too much energy can leave her extremely energized making her paranoid, skittish, flinch easily, overthink things and destroy her sleeping patterns. Additionally, people can resist momentarily by using sheer willpower, though this will save them a few seconds at best, and in the process of doing so they will be heavily stressed mentally. Finally, there is the fact she has to make eye contact.

The reason why they want to be a hero/bio: Ayn wants to be a hero to try to redeem herself and also to prove to Xavier Walker that she is changed once and for all. The addition of her being able to finally do what she wanted to as a tiny girl is always good.

Favorite hero: Wraith, it's her adoptive father after all.

Skills: Ayn's skills are rather unconventional. She is skilled, though not necessarily trained, in use of handguns, knives, other self-defense items and general street fighting through experience. Additionally, her time on the streets as a hoodlum and goon to various villains gives her insight into how the underground systems work and a few connections in the ranks of the villain underling sects. Finally, though not a real skill, she is extremely well read, knowing many of the classic books, a stickler for old horror movies and their special effects and a secret poetry writer.
The day went on smoothly, the class learning their core academic skills in a rather homely room. The teacher was kind and soft on them, open to the crucial help they may need, the classroom was well acquainted and seemed to get along decently well. Class went on for a rather long time, however, feeling boring and by the end, the average person would be glad to get to stretch their legs. As the students made their way home, the group chat began to spark up. It was the speed boy, sending pictures of himself and a couple of other friends: A young girl with purple tentacles for hair and a pair of eyes like a squid, a young man with the body of a lizard, and a normal, yet meek and tiny looking male all hanging out. He would explain they were giving him a proper good-bye celebration, this group being the ones that helped him train: The lizard being his sparring partner, the girl being his study buddy and a good moral support, and the young tiny one being a quirkless nerd who happened to know the ins-and-outs of the hero academy's rules. They went from various places: Hooka bars, fancy restaurants, arcades, but one thing was always a bit cryptic about it all. There was a person always in the back, always just out of the corner of the picture, too blurry to make out any real detail other than that they were in a green hoodie. At first, he would shake it off, then explain it was probably just another friend of his 'goofing' him. This was cut off from the next two hours until 3 in the morning. He sent a picture of a warehouse, one-half ruined. On the floor was the body of the quirkless from earlier, his leg missing, leaving only a bloodied stub hidden under red-stained pants. He was clearly unconscious and had been crying based on how his eyes looked. The tentacle girl was seen just out of the corner of the photo, tied up. This was the final cut off, the last thing he would send.

The day in class the energy was far different. The obvious fact that Baxter Crash was gone made things seem eerie, this wasn't just some goofy, well-played joke he was doing, or if it was he was going too far. Things were only made odder by the replacement of him. In his seat sat a young woman, her back arched and her arms folded so that she could more comfortably sleep on the table. Her suit jacket was put on the back of her seat, her snoring subtle but apparent. He was new, that was obvious, none of them had seen her before. There she sat, sleeping like an ogre in the seat of a student-no-more.

"Man, it was just lunch" The other boy muttered under his breath, the entirety of his meal already gone. It was like watching a soap opera to him. He laughed at bit at the whole predicament.
"Man, you two are gonna get lots of attention as heroes, all this drama's gonna get everyone turning heads" He giggled happily, joking at their predicament. Standing up, he walked away. "Anyway, class is getting started soon"
