Born to Chae-won and Byung-joon Ahn in New York. Min-Jun's parents were Korean immigrants who left their home country for a chance to get a better life for their children. Their father, Byung-joon got a job in a law firm while Chae-won stayed home and took care of their three children. Min-Jun was the oldest of them all, followed by his two younger sisters Eun Ae and Min-seo. They lived a pretty relaxed childhood up in New York, the Ahn children attended a Catholic school, mom Ahn had more than enough money to buy anything she needed for the family, and papa Ahn worked hard for his family.
It all looked perfect until Chae-won passed away in a car accident, and Eun Ae had her leg amputated. The family mourned, the children moved on, but their father never really did. Months after the accident, he began to drink heavily and began to verbally abuse the children. Min-Jun, only eleven years old, got between his father's words and his sisters. It didn't take long for the verbal abuse to escalate to physical. It didn't matter how bad it got Min-Jun always got between his father and his sisters.
A year later, their father was arrested for carrying illegal substances. The three siblings were thrown into the system of foster homes and the fear of being separated. They lived in the system for four years until a family down in Ohio brought them into their house. By then, Min-Jun was used to the usual neglect and abuse from the past foster families, but the Scotts seemed like a sweet family.
It took the Ahn children a few months to get used to the Scotts and their very religious ways. Eun Ae and Min-Seo got used to it pretty quick with the help of the other two girls around. Min-Jun himself was fast to get used to the friendly environment and the kindness of the Scott family. It almost felt like he was actually wanted in the family- despite the fact that every Sunday, he was reminded that Min-Jun was not normal.
The Scott's policy of no tolerance made Min-Jun's already existing self-hatred develop more and more. It became almost self-destructing at home; he avoided his thoughts. He took up smoking right after inlisting to Rosefell High. He tried out for the football team, as his foster father suggested, and tried to release all his pent up anger.
Recently he has become a man-whore, sleeping around with any girl that would have him- while also keeping his reputation high. He does this to bury his thoughts even deeper in hopes that his "sinful" thoughts would go away. Nothing has helped so far.
Min-Jun helps his foster father in his body shop. For his seventeen birthday, he got an old mustang that used to belong to Kyle, the oldest of the Scott children, and has been working on it during the weekends when he's not out partying.
