Current "Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

The word homeowner has the word "meow" in it. Good luck pronouncing it correctly ever again. You're welcome ^.^

When everything seems wrong...something goes right, and it changes darkness into light, and makes the shadows a little less daunting.

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.

Oh, god.

I'll read this later, my mind is already getting fucked today with my test.
I really do hate that it is so small, but... I couldn't figure out what else to write!
”Can’t” Luna replied to Edward, ”its how I was raised” she said simply, which was the truth, her father had given up everything to save her, to raise her, and he would always be her hero. He taught her to sacrifice everything for anyone, because you never knew what someone was going through, and if you could make things a little better, then it was worth it. ”you really think I want to get myself killed, Ed? Far from it. But I know I could easily die anywhere, so why not do some good before I do?” she sighed and shook her head, she wanted to simply have everyone be safe, and if there was some way she could snap her fingers and make it happen… she would.

As Constance once more choose the selfish option, and tried to get others to go with her, Luna rolled her eyes, just over the girl, well and truly ”And who is to say that getting onto a plane would mean being safe? Have fun” she said and laughed at Constance’s words, ”I thought you were a fool the moment I met you, sweetie. Don’t think i give a damn what you think about me.” she said, turning her back on Constance, not even caring if the woman made it to the plane, already looking back up the staircase.

Without Constance, Luna figured they had a pretty damn good chance at figuring this out. Edward and herself had done so much already, that doing this…. Was just another story in this crazy adventure. She turned to Edward, frowning slightly, but nodded at his words, getting ready to boost him up, wondering how she had become the one to do such physical tasks. She supposed it was only natural… she had held him on a tilting ship in a storm… and dragged Constance’s ass out of that cave… and leaped up to the step before… had she ever wondered just how physical she was? Or did she never thought about it before?

Judging Edward’s speed, Luna got ready, stepped back slightly, and crouching a bit, holding out her hands in a basket like hold, ready to heave Edward up when he stepped into it. [b]”Okay, ready”[/color]

He… He wanted her to do his job for him? Her father would never as her to do anything like that… not unless he didn’t have a choice. Cassandra bit her lip, even more worried than she had been a moment ago. What he was asking her to do was extremely illegal, not only asking her to work in the field of a medical position she didn’t have a degree for, but asking her to forge his signature on work that could, if she did it wrong, come back on him. What had happened, that would have him flying off? She didn’t want him to go, and she nearly said as much, going so far as to open her mouth, before closing it once more, no words escaping her.

She didn’t want him running off into danger… she didn’t want to lose her father… and she feared she just might, he had such a strong sense of honor and duty… She met his gaze, knowing she couldn’t let him down, but hoping all the same that he wouldn’t go while knowing that he would. She listened intently while he spoke, but she nearly burst into teas as he hugged her, kissed her forehead, feeling like a child again. She closed her eyes tight, feeling the sting of the tears in her eyes, and wanting to hold them back, knowing she’d break his heart if she didn’t.

”Okay, Daddy.... “ she said softly, opening her eyes when he went to go, watching him leave, and wanting to go after him. But like her father, she had a strong sense of duty and honor. He’d left her here, knowing she’d do what he’d asked, trusting her to do it well, putting an enormous amount on the line, not to mention trouble if she messed up. He was putting so much faith in her… she couldn’t let him down.

Not ever.

She turned back to Hunter, more than a little scared, worried and concerned, for a moment not knowing what her first move should be. ”So… that was my dad… “ she said, managing to give him a smile, ”I guess I have to go check on my friends… will you stay?”
Lavena Ó Faoláin

Location: Flight BAW229; Los Angeles to London.

”Easy for you to say” Lavena muttered to herself, shaking her head as if that would help wake her, but all it did was splash water into her eyes, and grumbling, she rubbed at them with her free hand, a small sound escaping her. She was so tired… so very tired and cold, although she felt like the water was slowing warming, becoming something almost like a blanket, and she just wanted to fall into its embrace, and not worry anymore. Yet Valen seemed not to want to give her that, and she groaned, opening her eyes. ”Alright, alright, stop nagging, your worse then a mother hen!” she said, starting to move once more, although it was a monumental task, one that she wished she didn’t have to do.

Would it be so bad, to just… float away? Never to be seen from again? But Valen would, it seem, kill himself to get them all out, and the girl came first… with another groan, Lavena continued on, wishing she was anywhere else by there. Or maybe with someone that would just let her sink into the abyss.

”I take it back. I don’t wanna fuck you now. I wanna punch you in the face” she said, as she continued to swim, which was rapidly becoming the hardest thing she had ever done, her body was just so cold, so heavy… could you get waterlogged, weighed down? She had no idea. She continued to struggle, to struggle with swimming, to struggle with keeping her eyes open, to just struggle with the need to keep going. How much further? The water wanted to claim her, and it was doing a damn good job of it. Each stroke was a little weaker, a little slower than the last…. Eventually she wouldn’t even be moving.

And still the bloody bastard Valen wouldn’t let her stop, stopping and encouraging her to continue on, nagging her and basically making it impossible to stop, or be nagged to death. ”I just want to sleep” she whined, after what seemed like forever, and she was beginning to wonder if Valen had lied about it being close, they seemed to have been swimming for days. Suddenly Valen seemed to turn, and Lavena groaned again. ”More swimming?!” with no other choice, Lavena began to follow Valen once more, the even warming water inviting, to the point where she wasn’t sure if she could resist its pull for much longer.

She thought she could hear voices, but maybe she had gone crazy. Maybe she was in a padded room somewhere, and this was all a dream… Or maybe it was just others calling for help. She looked up, her eyes a big bleary before focusing, although that seemed a hard task. Was there movement, near the lighthouse? Had others made it to safety? She thought she heard a bit of a struggle, and when they neared the steps, she thought she could see people climbing up the stairs…

Stairs!

Even as Lavena neared the stairs, she thought she heard someone cry out ”Juliette!” an oddly familiar voice, although she couldn’t imagine where she had ever heard it, and the sound of running footsteps. She threw her case onto the steps, and for a moment, she thought they might just beat her. ”I’m here, stop yelling at me!” She cried back to Valen, the running steps slowing as she slammed against the stairs, scrambling up, her legs and arms screaming in protest, the brutality of… however long it had been crashing down on her.

”you have my sister! Juliette!”

Ah, now she knew where she had heard the voice before. The guy yelling for his sister in the water… was the girl okay? ”Valen went mama kangaroo mode, she should be okay” Lavena said wearily, the wind biting against her skin, as she sat half submerged on one of the higher steps that was still in the water, shivering violently, and still wanting to sink into blessed sleep.

Niesha ran her hands over her face, rubbing them there a moment, sighing heavily, before she looked around at Chloe and Ravi. Chloe was already jumping into action, but Ravi seemed uncertain. She remembered her first few days in Newman, and shifting to face him, she said ”Did you want to go somewhere, i could take you… I’d like to help clean up first, Victor shouldn’t have to clean it all up by himself, but if you want to get out of here, the Mess hall is just nearby, I can take you there” She looked up as Victor entered, nodding at what he said. She didn’t think anyone would disagree with a funeral.

”A funeral… she deserves that. And maybe we need those rituals again” she said softly, ”I… I don’t know how to embalm, but I’ll stay and help” The thought of going back to the apartment she shared with Kristina… telling her what had happened, was too much right then, and she didn’t want to go there, didn’t want to wait for Kristina to return.

She wanted to be doing something. ”I’ll return… return the meds and supplies first… “ she said softly, going to start gathering what they hadn’t used, and she began to wonder just what else could go wrong in this day, what more could happen. In the space of hours, they’d lost seven members. Four dead, three gone from the community, perhaps forever. Was it one of the worst days in Newman? She hadn’t been around long enough to know… it was perhaps the second worse day for her, here though. She sighed as she continued to tidy up.

@Kyrissei forgot to mention >.<
Callie hesitated, before she sat down beside Caius, listening as the trio spoke, her expression serious, worried. As Claudia began to talk, Callie frowned. Two infants, in the cold? How did they get there, and more importantly, how did they survive? She knew that even born werewolves, they’d have still been vulnerable to the elements at that young an age. As they continued to tell the story, Callie glanced down at her hands, frowning still. As Claudia demanded answers, Callie looked up, thoughtful.

Did they want to know? Knowledge, Callie had found, was power. She was silent for a few moments, as she contemplated a few things, before she finally began to speak. ”There’s a world of information out there, and… “ She sighed, ”My ancestors created… a book of shadows, I suppose. I thought I should know some more about werewolves, and… well, I couldn’t sleep last night, so I did some reading” She said, her voice a little weary, not looking at any of them.

”Lupo Dio” she said softly, ”Wolf God” she said, ”I don’t know much more than that, but… could be something’ She said softly, more than a little uncertain, she looked back down at her hands, worried.
