Thana Martin

Location: Outside Main Building (Building 1)

Time takes its toll on everyone. Death gets to us all. Shit hits the fan and when it finally reaches a boiling point...

"Damn bitch finally bit it?" a voice rang out in Jack's ears. "Shit, I liked that old bat. What the fuck ya'll gonna do now? I mean fuck. Ash done lost, look at him all googoo eyed over my Daisy's twin. And now yer second? Yeah, how's the fuck that gonna work? You really thinks you can keep that twinkle toed bitch of yours safe? Much less this whole town? Yeah fucking right. Mr. and Mrs. Newnan. Mights as well be Mr. And Mrs. Cleaver tryin' to stop Eden from fuckin' this place over." The voice could only belong to one person...

There was a crunch in the snow as Thana adjusted her footing in the melting ice under her feet. Thana's eyes darting over from Froggy to Ash. Seemed the bad day had just gotten worse yet it didn't show on her face. "Other than informing you that Kris is being moved from her current position to my second and Lead Livestock, the rest can wait Sir." Her voice was as professional as always. Her eyes never wavering as her hands remained clasped behind her back, the only obvious thing was that she had had more to say yet she was holding off now.

The more the sun shown the warmer it was getting. It felt like a typical spring day now, nearly seventy degrees and as more and more people walked about it became clear that the freezing temperatures were finally over with. Hopefully. Kids running by now that things were getting cleaned up, playing in the street like they normally did over by the Mess Hall. Kicking the soccer ball around. It getting away from them and hitting the sidewalk near the corner of the street by the Infirmary.Leaning forward a bit on the edge of the brick partition between the sidewalk and the bushes in front of the Main building she leaned forward as she shuffled a deck of cards. Her dark eyes staring straight at Ash. "Well who's this?" she said with a sly grin on her face as she stood up, the card moving through her fingers as her eyes went over to Thana. "Seriously? This uptight chica. Three foot iron rod right up her back side. Do you have to ask her permission to come aboard before you two start anything?" she asked chuckling as she gave a mocking salute, the cards flipping out of her hand and scattering to the wind yet nothing hit the ground.

Froggy nodded at Ash and turned, walking back into the Main building and heading towards the infirmary. He stopped in front of the memorial wall and started looking around it. Seeing the pictures, trinkets, memories off all those that had died within the walls or were a part of Newnan that died outside of the walls. It was a lovely thing that Tatiana had put together for everyone but as he stared as it, he started to get mad. Shaking his head vigorously as he ripped off his glasses and wiped away the tears. Turning on his heels he marches into the OR and looked at the covered boy of Miss Sally. "We will have funeral for her," he stated rather matter of factly. Newnan didn't do funerals, they just buried corpses but Victor was tired of that. Miss Sally was the first Newnanite, the eldest, the grandmother figure, the mentor, the set people straight person. "Oui, funeral. Must start embalming," he added sniffling a bit to clear his nostrils. "Merde, been a while since I embalmed someone," he muttered.

Inside the machine shop it was still chilly, steel and concrete made for slow materials to warm up. The sound of a wrench ringing out as it finally teetered off the work bench. It had been rocking back and forth for a while now, the last thing Richard had set down before his attention was turned towards Chocolate Thunder when he walked in.

"I always said you would be good at leading. Doesn't matter what happens you know what has to be done. That's how it's got to be." a voice came from behind Meg. She knew the voice even if she hadn't heard it in over a year. Someone who had always been stern with her, rode her, took her under her wing. "Hey, you missed a spot." Corrected her.

Gavin & Ryan

Location: Near 545 Corinth Rd, Newnan: In the woods. (Not far from the Coweta County Water Authority)

Gavin shook his head a bit and chuckled as he helped James move the heavy door to roll upward and open it fully. Ryan just stood there grinning to himself and rubbing his chin with his thumb. He'd gotten them in, they could open the door. The sound of liquid in a bottle rang out and there was a flash of steel in James line of sight. A strong smell of tequila, age, and death filling James nostrils. There wasn't a voice with this one, not so much in James ears, more of a grunt: "Mhmm," as from the shadows there was a simple nod from a pair of dark eyes set on leather worn features.

"Aww man, she's a beaut!" Gavin exclaimed as he clapped his hands and rubbed them together. Stepping over to where the shadow was he rested his hands on the edge of the houseboat and jumped up. "Fuck yeah, lots of goodies in here," he added as he adjusted his cowboy hat.

"Ryan...who the fuck is this cowboy? When you start hanging out with the deliverance gang?" Ryan's head snapping around and looking from where the voice came from but there was nothing. "Hey Ryan, I love his hat. Can I have his hat?" Ryan's head snapped around again and his eyes widened as he spotted blond hair and a hand reaching for the hat. Clapping his hands over his face he rubbed it vigorously and looked again. Only seeing Gavin there grinning like a fool as he kept looking through things.

Turning on his heels Ryan walked off, pulling out his pack of smokes and lighting one up quickly. His hands were shaking and he was starting to sweat as he walked. As he passed the edge of the truck Beatrice could see a nail studded ball bat swinging and nearly taking Ryan's head off. A red haired woman hopping off the back of the truck and shrugging at Beatrice before she followed Ryan around the corner. Ryan leaned back against the side of the building, puffing on his cigarette like a train; alone.

Lola Holler

Location: North Of Newnan (Veterans Memorial Park - Corner of Temple Ave. & Jackson St.)

Lola sat there in her recliner watching the two. She was about to say something when Thalia spoke up. Her painted red lips splitting into a bright white teethed giggle as she looked away. This was turning out to be one hell of a moment. Martyrism and Mansplain' in the same spiel," she chuckled as she got out of her chair and dusted off her hands before resting them on her hips. "Well time to blow this joint. All aboard who's coming aboard," she added as she grabbed the rim of hole and swung her leg in before dropping inside with a thud.

"Jet, snow the coal!" she yelled as her head popped out of the hole like a whack a mole and eying the grill that was still smoldering a bit. On her head was a helmet now, New Zealand flag on the side, feathers coming from it and pipe cleaners in pink and green going around the rim of it. She poked her head back down and disappeared within the mammoth vehicle as she took a seat in the drivers position. This was the part she loved. Getting to drive her baby. "Hey baby, mommies here. Ready to have some fun?" she said patting her tank. It was the closest thing to a real relationship she'd ever had and probably ever would. Was fine by her, most men felt inadequate around her tank.

Clean Up Isle 13, Death!
Meghna, Tiffany & Amelia

Location: Outer Gate

Meghna had gotten to work on the shoveling, she had gotten about a foot deep, groaning slightly as she felt the ground was still frozen and bits of mud. This was going to take a lot longer than she had thought, as Meg looked up as she started to hear some of the kids the mess from earlier was now just getting started. But she could understand them being upset as Meg got up and started to make her way over towards the kids who were there. Meghna knelt down as she did her best to try and comfort the children, and then sending them off to do their work sighing slightly as she wiped a bit of sweat off of her forehead. Meghna saw Peaches and Shordie running along seeing them leaving a trail of bloody paw prints from the mess as they chased off down the street.

"Noooo!" Amelia couldn't help but say loudly after noting Peaches and that abstract physics cat run about, leaving a trail of blood behind them. They were already having a hard time getting the current mess cleaned up without having some furry, not helpers make a mess of the place. It was starting to cause a problem with the other people who lived here as they witness the blood and gore.

"This... might take more time than I suspected." Amelia finally said, noting that cleaning everything with the two of them will be probably taking longer. There was also the fact the graves would be hard to dig out since the ground was still frozen." Any ideas?" she asked Tiffany while not stopping with the constant cleaning motions.

Tiffany pondered their predicament. Obviously, people shouldn't be witness to the blood and gore, but the animals didn't know better. "It's nature in animals, not much we can do about them other than to try to catch them and make sure they stay indoors, but that seems like a harsh punishment. I think all we can do is to clean the mess as quickly as possible and get back to Meg."

She sighed inwardly because she figured the clean-up would proceed smoothly. She hadn't considered the community pets or anyone else stumbling on them. "Perhaps we can make some signs quickly letting people know we're cleaning up here and to not come in this area. They should be focused on getting breakfast and reporting for work anyway."

Meghna finished waving a few of the people that were nearby seeing that they were upset, doing her best to try and run interference while people tried to get on about their days. Meg's attention turned back over towards Tiffany and Amelia as she walked over to them, seeing the mess of paw prints from Shordy and Peaches, over hearing them and shook her head. "That's going to take to much time, just finish getting this cleaned up." Meg said as she grabbed the hose and bucket, and started to go down the street to spray away the mess that was made this morning.

"Yeah, we need to clean the outside first. Anything else can be taken care of afterward since it's outside of everyone's direct path." Amelia agreed as she too started focusing back on the trail of gore. The animals couldn't really help it indeed and now that Meg joined them, they would have somewhat faster time cleaning this up. With a third person with them, it would make it that much faster.

"I think we should get someone else to help though." She eventually said, moving over to fill her bucket with water and add salt in it again."We will get the street cleaned up sooner than later, but digging the still frozen ground would be hard. I assume it was quite so since you came to help us, Meg?" Amelia asked quietly."We should ask a man to help us... at least for the top layer."

Tiffany wanted to laugh. Asking a man to help them? Were they back in the 1950s? She could concede that the terrain will be difficult to get through, but she wasn't about to call it quits and ask just any man to help them. There had to be tons of people around that they could call on, regardless of gender. "As much as I agree with the amount of hard work it will be, I think we could do it if we work together. Pardon the use of this expression, but we are strong, capable women who don't need any man!" She held up her bucket triumphantly, before gently setting it back down.

"Joking aside, more help would always be appreciated, but I think we can do it if we just put our minds to it." She continued clening up the bigger mess while they focused on the trail left by the pets.

"Yeah the ground is pretty solid still, only got about a foot by foot hole deep and wide the last few minutes." Meghna said as she gave the bucket a few more pumps as she continued to spray along the trail of gore, she laughed softly at their jokes as she started to pressure wash the trail leading towards the workshop where things had went down between James and Richard. "We got enough girl power here anyway, and we are fine without it turning into some sausage fest." Meg joked back.

She looked along the trail where Shordie and Peaches had ran across washing that away as well, looking between the two of them, Meg looked back towards Amelia and Tiffany. "So how are your love lives going anyway?" She asked, deciding to change the subject to something else.

Amelia herself didn't really understand why the dislike for asking a man to help out with digging out the frozen surface. It was the more logical way of doing it since well men did tend to be able to perform better in such more strength requiring tasks. She remembered her father carrying up heavy luggage she could barely move back before... She shook her head, in the end, deciding to not follow that train of thought and just accept it.

"Hm?!" Amelia was startled when Meg changed the topic to what she did. She even nearly dropped the bucket she was holding, but managed to hold onto it, only to nearly lose balance. Well, she didn't perform any comical acts though." L...love life?!"She repeated though some struggle in uttering the words, turning red all the way to her ears."I... d...don't have ..." She muttered, remembering sharing a bed with Riley last night and blushed even more despite nothing happening! The very implication of what transpired last night suggested that it will though..." I..." She mumbled, handing he face with one of her hands.

Tiffany looked over to Amelia as she stumbled a bit and was stuttering. Even Tiffany could notice the blush spreading across her cheeks. She couldn't help but grin. "Oh look, Amelia is blushing! You like someone!" If anything, talking would help pass the time as they cleaned. "That's so cute! Who is it? Wait, I'll go first if it helps. Me and Ray are doing just fine. I love him very much and it grows every day. There's even been talk of possible marriage in the future, but we didn't want to intrude on Jack and Tatiana's big day."

She looked over to Amelia. It was fun teasing her, but she also didn't want it to seem like she was being pushy. She was just curious. "It's all right Amelia, you don't have to say anything. What you do is completely up to you. I just hope he...or she...makes you very happy."

Meg noticed the blushing that Amelia was doing when the subject was changed and grinned some, so Amelia did have a crush on someone, or she ended up getting lucky last night after the reception. "So Tiff you and Ray planning on kids or something?" She asked slightly curious now what their plans were, them getting married would be great and the two did seem to be a really adorable couple. "But yeah Amelia you don't have to spill unless you'd like to. I have no love life yet." Meg said as she started to spray closer towards the garage.

The talks about the personal life of the other two and especially of Tiffany and Ray, made Amelia start looking at the other woman in a slightly surprising way. So they were that close already? She knew the two of them were a couple, but talk about marriage was a whole different thing... well at least it WAS back when the world was normal. Now it was different, but they did suit each other. Meg herself seemed to be without any love life... or so she says.

"I..." She mumbled, blushing up as she was trying to clean up more of the road." I... confessed last night... to Riley..." Amelia quietly said, feeling like her cheeks were in the process of burning up into cinders." She said that she... liked me too." She added another mumble.

Tiffany was a bit surprised at Meg's lack of romance. She had been with the group longer than she had, but then again those priorities weren't as high anymore. "Kids?" It had been asked and, she had to admit, the thought crossed her mind. However, did she want to bring kids up in this world? In apocolyptic scenarios, there was often a need to procreate to continue life, but would she want her kids to grow up in this? Having to scrounge for food and supplies? Having to either run constantly or be a part of a sustainable community that may or may not crumble? She didn't know. She wanted kids, but to what extent? "I mean...I thought about it, but I don't know. Would that be a good thing nowadays?"

As Amelia began to mumble and blush, Tiffany was half expecting her to pass out, but she managed to persevere and reveal some delicate information. It seems Amelia liked Riley and Riley liked her back. That was actually really cute. "Aww, that's really sweet! Riley is pretty cool so I'm glad she makes you happy."

Meghna looked between Amelia and Tiffany as Amelia admitted that she has a thing going on with Riley, which made her smile it was a good thing they would probably be a really happy couple. "Well any details you got Amelia about last night?" Meg teased as she hosed own the road making sure that the blood and gore went down into the sewer drains. Then she looked towards Tiffany, she did get what she meant having to raise a kid up in these times would be really hard survival is pretty much nothing nowadays.

"It would be pretty hard to make sure a kid is safe during these times." Meg said softly as she moved closer towards the mechanic shop as she noticed the blood trail was coming from. She slowly opened the door as Meg walked down seeing the trail going through the shop, and then into the garage. Meg shuddered slightly as she saw the pool of blood, looked like it was about five pints of blood where the pool was, she moved over and opened the garage door. The good thing was that there weren't any organs around, so that was a plus. "Looks like this is where it happened." Meg said as she started to pressure wash the pool of blood out through the garage.

Amelia suddenly went silent and stopped moving. Details, was it? Well, nothing really had happened as far as she remembered. She was pretty drunk and was pretty sure she fell asleep right away when they went to bed." Nothing... happened...yet..." She mumbled all blushed up, trying to focus not really successfully on the job." We just slept togeth... I mean... nothing happened! I just fell asleep since I was so drunk right away and it was warmer sleeping together and..." She suddenly panicked and more or less stated everything. Upon that realization, she just hid her face with her hands for a moment." I want... to vanish now."She mumbled.

At least they reached the workshop so she could just shut up, enter and start pressure washing also, making sure to keep facing away from the other two, mostly to keep the bright red tomato face she had right now from them. It was strange, but without she even realized, all the teasing did, in fact, make her mood better at the very least.

Tiffany decided to let that slip of the tongue pass. It was Amelia and Riley's privacy, after all. She wanted details, but it would be best if they finished what they set out to do first. As they entered the scene of the crime (per se) the mood soured. She could feel it. What jokes they had were put under wraps as they came to the spot where their community was dealt a blow.

She let out a breath before she spoke. "The sooner we get started, the sooner we can leave. This place gives me a bad feeling." She didn't know if she believed in ghosts and all that, but if they were real, this would be where malevolent ones lingered.

Meghna looked towards Amelia she smirked ever so slightly, seeing the girl blushing deeply and decided to drop the subject now she didn't want to make her friend feel anymore uncomfortable then she was feeling now. And it was business between her and Riley. Meg nodded towards Tiffany, she didn't want to be anywhere near here for much longer. She continued to go along, and following the blood trail where James had dragged Richard's body from the scene.

Making sure that the blood went down the drains and sewer grates, looking at the two they would have just one more task to do which was to burry their dead. "Once we are done here, we have to bury them next." Meg said with a slight sigh as she finished pressure washing the mess, then making one last final sweep of the room to make sure that there weren't any other missing blood spots she had seen.

Amelia was really grateful that the other two didn't push the personal talk any longer. That said, the gore here reminded her of the events right away once the embarrassment was gone. Yes, they had yet to bury the 3 bodies... The improving mood quickly was replaced by the original sadness, but still, it was somewhat better... in a weird way, the death of the one responsible for Sana's suicide made things better despite the bad things it brought none the less. It was a small justice, but even that was better than nothing. Since Meg went for the final sweep of the place, Amelia quickly followed and began to help with it too. At last, they were finishing up with this part of the task... the grave digging into the frozen earth would be harder though." We should grab another hoe... or two. Shovels won't help in the frozen ground much." She quietly said.

Tiffany went into cleaning mode, hoping that if she didn't stand in more than one place she wouldn't think about what happened here for too long. It was a messy job, but she was able to push through it. Hoping the others would talk about something else to lighten the mood. However, the topic swung back to the bodies and it seemed she wouldn't be getting through this just yet. "We'll grab some more tools when we're done here. For now, let's finish this quickly."

As Meg was finishing up her final sweep of the garage and work shop area, she froze and stopped for a moment when she heard an all to familiar voice coming from behind her. She quickly swung around to see who it was, Meg hadn't heard LeAnn's voice in over a year since she had died, biting her bottom lip. Meg wasn't sure if she was going crazy now or not, or if it was just the stress of everyone dying today the only other people in the room were Tiffany and Amelia. "Let's uhm, get out of here, cleaning looks good." She said softly slightly shaken up from just hearing the voice again.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Mess Hall -> Franklin Wall Building C (C2 Riley's Room)

As Riley started to walk back towards the Franklin Wall, she could feel it getting warmer as she started to take off her jacket and draped it over her shoulder. She looked over towards the main building seeing Thana, Jack, Froggy and Ashton there but she was to far to see their expressions there to see what was going on. All she knew was that something happened to Miss Sally, and she was being treated beyond that Riley didn't know or could hear what they were talking about. She shrugged slightly to herself and continued on her way towards her place where she had kept all her training schedules and records she kept.

She walked through the Franklin Wall gate and then headed down the road to her assigned apartment building, heading inside Riley stopped for a moment just outside of Beatrice's room. She didn't think that Beatrice would suddenly leave, but then again it was her choice, and then Ryan leaving as well. Her sister would have a whole house to herself now at least, Riley opened the door to her room the bed was still a bit a mess and her bed wasn't made before the shot had rang off.

Amelia's blankets were there still, figuring that they needed to go back to her room blushing slightly to herself even though last night nothing happened it was really nice to relax and have her waking up next to. Riley grabbed them and then headed out of the room, setting them on Amelia's bed to return them. Riley then headed back to her room unclipping her belt and setting her handgun and radio next to her bedside table. She then walked over to a drawer and opened it up where she kept her own paper work going over the schedules she had to rearrange now since Ryan and Beatrice were gone.

Raymond Mendoza

Location: Mess Hall -> Building F Tatiana & Jack's Home

Raymond sighed slightly and nodded towards Tatiana, there was a lot of maybes but whats done is done there was nothing that they could do now to try and fix what had happened. But they can prevent it from happening again by talking to the others and see how they were doing and try and see the signs if anyone was going to off themselves. "I know, but we can prevent it from happening again." Ray said as he took a bite out of his food. "And try to move forward as well." Ray said softly, he nodded at Tatiana as she turned around and started to wheel herself off. "I'll be there shortly." Raymond said

He sat back and sighed once more before continuing his breakfast, and ate away looking up as he saw the door opening and seeing Kristina entering the room to grab her food. He wondered how she was handling everything, but only time would tell once they started to talk about how they were doing with everything later. Once he was finished Raymond got up and started to make his way over towards the pile of dishes, he started to head out and made his way across the parking lot to meet Tatiana there. He watched as the kids were playing now in the streets and smiled towards them.

Kristina Smith

Location: Outer Wall -> Mess Hall.

Kristina walked along the sidewalk leading up to the inner wall, she looked around as she watched the kids playing around kicking a soccer ball around. They were having fun like they should, she continued to make her way until she was in the gate feeling hungry now as she headed down the street and then walked into the Mess Hall. Kristina saw Ray for a moment biting her bottom lip for a moment, she had a feeling that she would be pulled aside for a bit later by Tatiana. Kris really didn't mind hanging out with her, but always felt slightly uncomfortable when asked about how she was doing.

She grabbed herself a plate and got in line as Kristina watched Raymond leaving the room, Kristina started to pile her food onto her plate then walked over to find herself a place to sit and started to dig into her meal. Kristina leaned back as she started to go through the events in her head once more. She was still thinking about James, wondering when or if she will ever see her closest friend ever again Thana also seemed to be pretty nice as well, and wasn't expecting to be promoted either as Kristina continued to eat and drink.

Niesha

Location Building one: medical

Niesha ran her hands over her face, rubbing them there a moment, sighing heavily, before she looked around at Chloe and Ravi. Chloe was already jumping into action, but Ravi seemed uncertain. She remembered her first few days in Newman, and shifting to face him, she said ā€Did you want to go somewhere, i could take youā€¦ Iā€™d like to help clean up first, Victor shouldnā€™t have to clean it all up by himself, but if you want to get out of here, the Mess hall is just nearby, I can take you thereā€ She looked up as Victor entered, nodding at what he said. She didnā€™t think anyone would disagree with a funeral.

ā€A funeralā€¦ she deserves that. And maybe we need those rituals againā€ she said softly, ā€Iā€¦ I donā€™t know how to embalm, but Iā€™ll stay and helpā€ The thought of going back to the apartment she shared with Kristinaā€¦ telling her what had happened, was too much right then, and she didnā€™t want to go there, didnā€™t want to wait for Kristina to return.

She wanted to be doing something. ā€Iā€™ll returnā€¦ return the meds and supplies firstā€¦ ā€œ she said softly, going to start gathering what they hadnā€™t used, and she began to wonder just what else could go wrong in this day, what more could happen. In the space of hours, theyā€™d lost seven members. Four dead, three gone from the community, perhaps forever. Was it one of the worst days in Newman? She hadnā€™t been around long enough to knowā€¦ it was perhaps the second worse day for her, here though. She sighed as she continued to tidy up.

Alexander Polawski

Location: North Of Newnan (Veterans Memorial Park - Corner of Temple Ave. & Jackson St.)

Well...shit. This was not what Alexander had thought would happen. Thalia's reaction was loud and clear; his luck and social skills had clearly passed for now, and they were not happy with him. Well Thalia wasn't, while Lola had refrained from barking at him. More than that, he wasn't sure what she was talking about. 'Mansplain'? What was that supposed to mean? And what the heck was he to do now?

"Yes ma'am. Sorry ma'am." said with a somewhat similar flatness to his voice as Thalia, though he was really sorry. Shit, had he forgotten how to be normal and not to lecture others? Or was it just that this generation was as thin-skinned as he thought, not able to take a joke, good or bad. But as he climbed back up onto the tank as instructed, he again concluded that it was his fault, Because she was right. God damnit, she was right and he was wrong. Hadn't he been in their company and made a damned fool of himself already, he'd hit himself.

Instead Alexander sat down at the back of the tank, now determined not to fuck up anymore than he already had by now. Though he didn't think it'd help, the damage was already done and his destination determined. The best he could do now was to shut up. As he sat at the back, he pulled out a worn-out picture from his pocket alongside what looked like a rosary. And while he was quiet to the two others, he began to pray for himself. Not that he had any faith that He liked him anymore than the two ladies with him.

Ash Holloway

Location: Exterior Building 1

It was a difficult time, no doubt. Thana seemed to understand this, but it was obvious that more was on her mind. "Thank you, Commander Martin." he said respectfully, "Your keys and walkie will be delivered here momentarily. I'll debrief you later." It was an interesting notion, a lead picking their own Second. There was no rule expressly forbidding the practice, it just hadn't been done before. It made sense though, Kris had been working alongside James for a while now. She knew a lot of how he did things, not to mention that it would ease the transition for the Agricultural staff.

From this point on, Ash would have been content to wait patiently in awkward, depressed silence for the next chunk of time until Thana's belongings came to her, but a voice prompted him away from it. His eyes widened in utter surprise and his head snapped around to he source of the dulcet, sarcastic words, before narrowing with suspicion. It was Alicia, of course. His Alicia, or used to be. That fact that she was dead notwithstanding, there she was, right in front of him.

Ash opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. This was something, but it couldn't be Alicia. Ash had put a bullet into her skull after she came back home to him, dead as stone.

This isn't me, Captain.

Ash hadn't heard from him in a while. Okay, so maybe he was crazy. Ash's problems came from guilt, among other things. Alicia's death put him over the edge, into something far less than wholesome. That voice just seemed to stay with him after the fact, a portion of himself that was the cold, professional soldier. If that voice echoed in his head, it meant that he felt the need to be on the defensive. Or he really was crazy. Like, deep end crazy. It didn't seem to make any sense, though - Ash's lapse of sanity was due to a need to punish himself for an inability to protect those he claimed under his care. Sally died of natural causes. She lived a full life, had purpose toward the end of it, and passed away helping others. Miss Sally lived and died well, if such a thing were possible. Ash was sad that she was no longer with them. He did not feel guilt.

But that "permission to come aboard" line? Priceless. Ash had to suppress a chuckle. God damn, he was crazy.

Black James(!)

Location: Near 545 Corinth Rd, Newnan: In the woods. (Not far from the Coweta County Water Authority)

James was just about to pull the rolling door back down when he saw The Man. There was no mistaking the sight of him, even in passing. The forlorn scowl of a man who had lost much and performed unspeakable acts; a man who had killed in numbers upward of hundreds in his many decades of sanctioned extermination of so much human cholesterol, clogging up the arteries of an otherwise safer and more just world, not to mention his dedication to carving out the squishy vitals of corruption in his own organization without sanction from his superiors, some of which he personally put to the knife.

Caesar Hannibal Gonzalez. He was a dead man. And now he was staring at James. The man grunted and nodded at him; nothing more than an affirmation of James's presence, at least for now. Then Gavin passed between the two of them, completely obscuring Caesar from his sight for less than a half second. It was all that was needed for the grizzled Mexican to totally vanish from sight. He must be having the beginnings of a breakdown, or some adrenaline fueled hallucination. I mean, it wasn't the first time he'd killed someone, even in Newnan before, but it was pretty damned emotionally charged. This... made no sense.

"Aight, someone please tell me y'all just saw that."

The flat apology and quiet session of pouting was noticed by Thalia, but she was done with the conversation. Getting into an argument and making noise while outside of the tank was counterproductive to her strategy of keeping her ass alive long enough to see to her own long-term agenda. The old soldier simply wasn't worth it. He did, however, get Lola her new toy. Such an act probably earned the man a lift closer to his piece of civilization, even if it probably shouldn't have gotten him her powdered cocoa mix, damnit.

Luckily, it was time to go. The sooner this part of their journey was over, the better. Lola's request to "snow the coals" was heard and acknowledged with a strained, "Yeah, on it." and slid off of the side of the tank. She slipped her entrenching tool from her side and unfolded it to a fixed position with a quiet clack. She dug it into a drift of semisolid white snow and deposited it into the grill above her, hurling it in an ungraceful arc to plop into the orange-red coals, only to hiss and sputter as they died away. Just to make sure, she smacked it down with another bladeful of the cold, wet stuff.

Thalia folded her e-tool and holstered it back at her side, then clambered back up the side of the tank. She closed the top of the grill with an annoyed swat and glared over in Alexander's direction, wordlessly examining the man for a second or two. Silently, she gathered her bag and spear, carefully dropping them into the great metal beast below. Thalia entered the Gunner's hatch, settling herself in the seat and closing the portal back above her. She banged on the wall twice, signalling her readiness to haul ass ASAP.

"So Lola, when are you going to show me how to use one of these things?"

Jack Hudson

Location: Outside Building One (Medical)

Jack jumped a bit as he heard a familiar voice in his ear. His heart stopped--not from joy certainly, but from fear. That was Dick's voice, but Dick was dead. His body had been taken care of and it couldn't rise. Even if it did, walkers weren't capable of speech like that. There was only one logical conclusion, one that brought fear to Jack: he had started to lose it. He was going insane. He couldn't be a father to his child if he heard voices. He didn't want to be like his own father. He wanted to be better.

And what about Tatiana? His wife was the therapist for Newnan. If this started to spiral out of control, what if he hurt her? What if he put her and their child in danger? The panic and fear completely overwhelmed Jack. He had a tendency to overreact to things and now his mind was telling him everything that could possibly go wrong. Would he get to see his child's first steps? Hear their first word? Teach them to ride a bike and to shoot a gun?

"I...I...," Jack started, but he wasn't even sure how to finish that sentence. He knew that he had to tell Tatiana what had happened. He couldn't put her in jeopardy if he was a danger to others. But at the same time, he was convinced that it would break Tatiana's heart. Things had been tough but...Jack hadn't realized his mental health had become this bad. "I need to see my wife."

Where would Tatiana be? The Mess Hall was his first thought. She was pushing herself too hard most likely, probably keeping an eye out on everyone else in Newnan. He had to tell her that he had heard Dick's voice. She'd know what to do. He just hoped that he wasn't too far gone, that everything would be alright...That his life hadn't ended right after it had finally begun.

Beatrice Decker

Location: Near 545 Corinth Rd, Newnan: In the woods. (Not far from the Coweta County Water Authority)

Beatrice was impressed, to say the least. She was surprised that Newnan would've been able to assemble a 'back-up' of this size. Just by taking in the houseboat and its supplies, she felt their chances of survival go up. With replenished stores and James' truck, they'd be able to last longer than they otherwise could have. It helped that things were heating up as well--shelter from the cold would no longer be a priority. However, it also meant that walkers would be active again.

Gavin was acting like a puppy, but it seemed to be normal for him. Beatrice crossed her arms as she took in the surrounding area, noticing the way Ryan seemed upset as he stalked off and lit up. Of course, that was nothing compared to the studded bat that was swung at Ryan's head. Beatrice's eyes widened as she grabbed her pistol, only to notice that a dead woman had jumped out of the back of the truck.

Bryn? For a moment, Beatrice considered whether it had been some sort of elaborate cover-up. Perhaps Bryn had faked her death in order to...in order to what? No, that was ridiculous. Beatrice may not have seen the body, but she knew for a fact no one else had been in that truck. The only explanation was that either ghosts were real (which given the walkers honestly wasn't that crazy...) or that she had gone insane.

Beatrice smirked slightly. It was a disturbing thought that she had started to lose her mind, but something had to kill her eventually. She had already left the relative safety of Newnan, though nowhere really was safe in this world. Maybe this was a sign--she'd just go more and more insane until she wouldn't even realize she was dead until it was too late. She was a survivor--but even survivors had to die eventually. Insanity wasn't the worst way to die--it was in the top ten, at least.

"Seen what, James?" Beatrice asked, turning her attention back to him. Her tone was level and steady. Unless someone had caught the brief glimpse of alarm, there would have been no indication that Beatrice had just seen a dead woman attempt to kill Ryan. She couldn't help but feel this was going to be interesting. And since Bryn never talked, it wasn't even like she was hearing voices.

Chloe & Ravi

Location: Building One (Medical)

Chloe pulled out all of the medical texts she could find and spread them all out on the floor. She was good at organizing things and enjoyed it. It had been one of the perks of prison--people there could value an organized living space. It was required to maintain them, after all. And if there was anyone who could stash away contraband without needing to use a messy space to disguise it, it was Chloe. Drugs weren't easy to come by in a women's prison. You had to perform...favors...to get them, and she wasn't about to let that be for nothing.

With all of the texts spread out, Chloe started to organize them by topical area. She was a fan of the Library of Congress system--everything that was related to each other being in one place. Once they were all in topical areas, then she could organize them alphabetically. It made the most sense to her mind and it was a welcome distraction. She didn't want to think about Ryan's rotting corpse walking around outside of Newnan's walls. His necklace felt heavy on her neck.

Downstairs, Ravi looked wearily towards Miss Sally. "I am--was--a medical examiner. This sort of thing--it's what I'm trained for. Dealing with people once they're gone." Of course, embalming was typically handled by the funeral home, but Ravi knew how it worked. Studying medicine, anatomy, and pathology ended up teaching him the process. And besides, he had performed some autopsies on embalmed bodies. It wasn't ideal and it made toxicology practically impossible, but it could be done.

"Allow me to do it...or at least to assist you," Ravi requested. This was something he felt strongly that it wasn't appropriate for loved ones to have to do. Yet Froggy had been the one to put the knife in Miss Sally's brain. Perhaps he'd feel he owed it to her. And in that case, he'd like to at least help Froggy through the process.

Thana Martin

Location: Outside Main Building (Building 1)

"Yes Sir," Thana said as she stood there. She had hoped to get a tour from Ash for the rest of the town but considering the circumstances she highly doubted he would be free for such a luxury stroll right then. Standing there she waited, her brow cocking a bit as Ash's head jerked around and his eyes widened. Her eyes moved slowly over to the direction he was looking but she couldn't see anything that would have caused that type of sudden reaction. Then the way his face looked like he was about to speak but was at a loss for words combined with the sudden contorting as he suppressed a laugh made her a bit concerned.

"Captain, is everything okay?" she inquired. She was worried but the concern didn't show in her features or her voice. Her head turning slightly as she heard the jingling of keys coming from behind her and growing closer.

"Hey, here you go," Brian called out as he rushed over to the three of them. Handing the keys and walkie over to Ash. Thana took a step back to get out of the way, her eyes back on Ashton and wondering if she should insist on a private word with him; under the guise of him showing her the medical garden so she could discuss who was and was not allowed in the place due to history.

"Oh you're Thana, sorry didn't get a chance to introduce myself earlier," he said as he held his hand out to her. "Names Brian, work the wall with Jim; sometimes tower," he said as Thana shook his hand.

"Pleasure," she said respectfully. The man froze slightly and swallowed hard, gripping Thana's a bit to the point she had to pull it away.

"Everything okay?" she asked as Brian stood there like a cod fish. He looked over to her slowly and nodded.

"Oh yeah, yes. Just a bit winded, need to get back to the wall," he said stumbling over his words as he looked back off behind Thana before turning and heading back towards the front gate. He kept glancing over his shoulder as he walked, looking passed the three of them standing there.

Thana looked at the ma oddly before looking back at Ash shaking her hand out from the grip Brian had put on it before her eyes went to Jack as he stated he needed to go see his wife. Maybe she would get a chance to speak with Ash alone before tonight.

"Well it's about time they let you do something around here," a voice rang out in Niesha's head. "You know, it isn't your fault she died." The voice was a bit distant but it was there and it was so familiar. There was a feeling of warmth landing gradually on Niesha's shoulder and a flash of red hair before it was gone.

Froggy looked over to Ravi and breathed a sigh of relief. "Oui, bien, bien, you can take care of that. Not sure we have anything for embalming though, might need a run for that," he said as he stepped over to Miss Sally. Glancing towards Niesha he nodded. "Okay dear, take your time," he said in an understanding voice before looking back at Miss Sally's covered body. "There is a funeral home two blocks north of the outer Franklin Wall, we did a run on it but didn't take the embalming chemicals, they should still be there," he said as he grasped the edge of the sheet and pulled it back.

"Sweet Jesus man, you really be thinkin' I'm already gone?" a cowboys face said looking straight at Ravi. Froggy just looked sadly down on the corpse before pulling the sheet back over the face and stepping away.

"I will talk to Ash about making the run soon, quicker we can get started the better right?" he said as he picked up a fallen glove on the ground and tossed it in the trash.

Gavin & Ryan

Location: Near 545 Corinth Rd, Newnan: In the woods. (Not far from the Coweta County Water Authority)

Gavin cocked a brow as Ryan took off but shrugged to himself. Where the man was going he didn't care. For all Gavin knew the man needed to take a piss and that was not something the cowboy was keen on seeing. Yet as James spoke Gavin looked up from what he was doing and looked around the place slowly. "Alls I be seein' here is you folk really knows how to stock a place. Damn man. This shits gonnas really helps us on ours little mission," he said before kneeling back down and starting to go back through the boxes of supplies.

The cowboy was like a kid on Christmas and he started singing to himself. "Strawberry wine, seventeen, the hot July moon saw everythang, first taste of love oh bittersweet, green on the wine, like Strawberry wine," he sang to himself, not paying a lick of attention to really anything.

Ryan on the other hand, his eyes were darting this way and that as he puffed away on the cigarette as if it was his last. "Ain't no fucking way..." he muttered to himself as he looked down at the blonde lock of hair on his finger. He couldn't have seen and heard what he just had. Was no way in hell. Sure he didn't see his brother die, so he could be alive somewhere but no. He had died in the chair, done in by the state, up in New York, years ago. Groaning Ryan's head rested back against the side of the building, out of sight of the rest of the group. "I need a joint..."

Lola Holler

Location: North Of Newnan (Veterans Memorial Park - Corner of Temple Ave. & Jackson St.)

Lola was having a blast as she got ready to head out, waiting for Thalia to get into the tank. Whether Alexander joined them or not she wasn't sure but the echoing from the top of the tank told her that there was someone up there and they had heavier foot falls and weighed more than Thalia did. Lola was very used to the way Jet walked about up there at this point. Hearing the banging from the wall and Thalia yelled out made Lola laugh.

"Bitch please, soons as I shows you that yous be blowing shit up left and right. I knows, I did it!" she laughed as she got comfortable in her seat. "Alright, times to wake my baby up!" she yelled out, it was about the only warning anyone would get before the tank roared to life. The engines vibrations shaking the tank at first and then moving into a steady hum. "Oh yeah, that's the spot. You like that don't ya baby?" Lola chuckled as she patted her seat. Speaking to her tank as if it was a person was all too common place as of now.

A few quick adjustments and the tank jerked forward. Slowly moving at first as Lola enjoyed the first movement of the day before making the tank turn around nearly in place and bowl down the walls of snow that had been surrounding it; sending puffs of melting snow up and around and over the top of the tank. "South we go!" she finally shouted as she pulled the tank out of the park and started to head south down the street singing to herself. "So I'm moving south to the great unknown. Yeah I'm moving south where the head unloads. You've got a reason some funky little demons telling me that life is a gas," she bellowed out. Following the last line with a rather pungent belch. "BBBBBUUUUURRRRRPPPPPPP!!!!!"

Tatiana Korvo

Location: The Newnan's House (Building F)

Tatiana sat down at the bar in the kitchen and picked at her food. She needed to eat she knew that and while she had wanted to wait on Jack to eat her stomach was getting the better of her, that and it was one of the few times that morning she hadn't felt like retching. She had suppressed it for the most part and it hadn't been bad but as the minutes and hours drug by she knew she needed to get something on her stomach. Granted she wasn't exactly feeling hungry right then but she had no idea when she would see Jack again today considering everything that was happening and the baby didn't need to have to wait.

Outside the kids were enjoying the soccer game, it moving up and down the streets of Newnan freely. It wasn't like they ever set up a goal or anything, they just kicked the ball back and forth constantly and followed wherever they kicked it. The game came to a sudden pause when Peaches darted out from behind Tatiana's house and across the street, barking and running for his life. A few second later came Schrƶdinger. The orange tabby was running full tilt but the cats body was partially obscured. In the cats small mouth was a bunch of black jean fabric? Which was around the top of a black boot, and the other side was the gory remains of a leg?!? A very familiar leg. The damn cat was bolting across Newnan carrying a leg in his mouth as if it was nothing and chasing Peaches. The kids just rolled their eyes and went back to kicking the ball now that the cat and dog were around the school building and out of sight.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Franklin Wall Building C (C2 Riley's Room)

Riley took off her shoes and leaned down on her bed as she started to go over things in her head and who would end up doing what now, as she started to write things down. It did remind her of when she used to write her music, she would always lay down on the bed of her apartment, or hotel room depending on where she was performing at or even out on the road. Riley ran a hand through her hair, she was now starting to crave listening to some music. But she lacked a stereo at the very moment, Riley had a feeling that the stereo that they used for the night before was probably a one time thing but Beni did get it in working order before the wedding had ended.

"Fuck it." Riley said to herself as she set down her clipboard and paperwork onto the bed, she decided to head out and check up on her sister and see if Miss Sally was alright. Riley started to put on her shoes, as well as her radio and sidearm she now kept on her at all times. Then after checking in with Chloe Riley would then go and see if her girlfriend was doing alright as Riley headed out she stuffed her hands into her pockets as she headed back toward the inner wall and the infirmary.

Raymond Mendoza

Location: Building F Tatiana & Jack's Home

As Raymond stopped for a moment he looked over to see the kids continuing their game of soccer, he smiled somewhat as he leaned up against the nearby wall and watched as the kids played. It reminded him how things once were before the outbreak happened, he would always see kids playing out in the street. Ray then watched as he heard Peaches barking loudly as he was chased after the orange fur ball, that's when he looked on in shock when Ray saw Schrodinger was carrying what appeared to be a leg. As Ray took a few steps forward to get a better look, he rubbed his eyes for a moment. He it took him a few seconds but he then instantly recognized the black pant leg, and boot, and the hacked off and bloodied end of the stump.

But the cat didn't seem to be phased by it nor the kids, Raymond wasn't sure if his eyes were just joking with him or he was actually going crazy. Once Schrodinger and Peaches had left the kids playing field they went on with their game, Raymond slowly walked over to where the two had chased each other. Raymond couldn't see any trail of blood in the snow, he was looking really confused he probably had a feeling that his leg was now just bones or some wild animal or walker had eaten it. He turned off and continued to make his way towards Tatiana's house. She needed to know what he had just seen, since Tati was his boss now when he got to the front door Raymond knocked on the door.

Kristina Smith

Location: Mess Hall

Kristina started to finish up eating the rest of her breakfast, she really didn't have anything else to do during the day now that Thana had given her the day off. Running a hand through her hair, she let out a slight sigh as she decided to go out and help out with Meg and the others with burying the bodies of their friends, well except for Dick. Kristina started to put away her dishes and started to head out of the Mess Hall.

She started to wonder what Niesha was doing since she hadn't seen her friend since James' exile, she was still figuring out why James had still done it. But she had a feeling that she may never know what happened now, as Kristina continued to make her walk down the street as the others continued to go about their duties. Kristina eventually saw Meghna carrying a few shovels an hoes in her hand, they hadn't buried the bodies yet it seemed. "Mind if I help out?" Kristina asked looking over at her friend, who smiled and gave her a quick nod. "I don't mind." Meghna said with a slight smile, Kristina started to then get a feeling that something was wrong with her friend something just felt off about it.

Meghna Kumar

Location: Outer Wall

Meghna was still trying to process what she had just heard, she wasn't sure if she was actually going crazy now or not from everything that has been going on. Or she had eaten something that ended up causing her to hear LeAnne's voice, Meg did one last look through all of the blood had been cleared out of the workshop. Meg walked over towards the sewer drain dumping the water down there. Once she finished Meg closed the garage door to the shop and started to head on out again, to sign back in the buckets that they had been using for the cleanup. Meg started to wall out quietly as she made her way towards the inner gate towards agriculture, for extra shovels and the hoes to get into the frozen earth easier.

It looked like she had seen a ghost as Meg remained pretty quiet, she started to think about either just keeping it to herself or to talk to Tatiana about it. When she got to agriculture she set the buckets down where they were signing in her name, then grabbed herself a hoe and shovel. "It shouldn't take to long if we all work on digging together." Meghna said as she started to head off towards the graveyard, to finish off what she had started earlier. Meghna turned her head as she looked over as she noticed Kristina coming up to her and see if she could help out and gave her a smile and nod, the more help the quicker they could lay them to rest.

Amelia Payne

Location: Outer Wall

Amelia quietly followed after Meg to help her with the carrying of the equipment they were needing. She noted the previously teasing Meg had suddenly turned really quiet for some reason. She wondered what was going through her mind, but given the things being what they were, she suspected it was about those who left or died today. She decided it wasn't a good thing to ask too, so she just kept quiet also.

ā€œBetter use the hoes for the frozen layer.ā€ Amelia said when Kristina also appeared to wish to join and help.ā€ Easier to chop through frozen earth than dig it out.ā€ She added and took a hoe.ā€ All of us on a single dig is going to be hard to not hinder one another. We may even hit each other, so wouldn't it be best if we separate into two groups to dig two holes? At least there won't be a chance to hit each other.ā€ She proposed. There were 4 of them now so it was going to be 2 groups of 2.

Tiffany Lyle

Location: Outer Wall

Tiffany continued to work but she noticed the sudden silence. While she may have mentioned her thoughts on the creepiness, she hoped that they could liven the mood a little with some talk. Meg, especially, seemed content to leave and wasn't her usual self. Tiffany didn't want to pry, but there was something bothering her. Thankfully, Kristina showed up, offering her help.

"We could use all the help we can get. Amelia is right, we may be better off working on two holes with two people each then. How about Kris and Amelia on one and me and Meg on the other? Does that work for everyone?" She offered her suggestion but knew Meg was the domestic lead and had final say in matters pertaining to it, but she kind of wanted to get her alone to pick her brain a bit. Selfish? Maybe, but she was also concerned.

Alexander Polawski

Location: North Of Newnan (Veterans Memorial Park - Corner of Temple Ave. & Jackson St.)

The old man didn't pay attention to the two women entering their beloved armoured combat vehicle, simply holding onto that faded picture and rosary as he continued to silently speak. What the words he spoke inside his mind exactly were, was irrelevant, seen as neither of them cared. And for that matter, Alexander was doubting whether anyone cared anymore. There simply weren't anyone left; his friends died in Florida, Saigon and in nameless patches of jungle; his wife long ago...so who was there left?

As the tank roared to life, he kept his eyes closed, even for the loud engine noise it made. The soldier simply put away the picture he had held, and let that hand grab onto something while the tank began to move backwards...well forwards, but to him it felt backwards. Like so much more around him...

The snow piling up on and around him though was enough to open his eyes, as a cold shiver shot down his spine and snuck down his shirt. Great, and here he was starting to warm up. And for some reason, he swore he could hear the sound of singing from down in the tank. Now he could be wrong, but it did make him think...

"...In restless dreams I've walked alone. Narrow streets of cobblestone. 'neath the halo of a street lamp. I turned my collar to the cold and damp. When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light, that split night, and touched the sounds of silence..."

If she could sing, then he sure as hell was going to sing what he wanted. Not loud of course, but to himself. Yeah, he was a crazy old man.

Niesha

Location Building one: medical

Niesha was a little relieved when Ravi said he could help with the embalming. While she would have done it, it was better knowing that there was someone qualified to do it. Sheā€¦ she didnā€™t want to work on someone she once knew, on preparing Miss Sallyā€™s body, knowing that theyā€™d failed to save her, to bring her back. Sheā€™d help, if she was needed. Lost in her own thoughts a moment, the voice pierced through them with ease, a voice she had struggled to live without for eight months, a voice she would have given anything to hear again.

All at once, it was like she was back then, before everything had happened, that one blessed day when Sophia had been out of the infirmary, before everything had gone to hell again. A handful of hours of happiness, before things came crashing down again. And just when she thought she was better, that she could get past it, today happened. Was she going crazy, hearing her voice? No one else seemed to react to itā€¦ had she tipped right over the edge of sanity, into crazy? Was she simply remembering something that had once been said? But she couldnā€™t remember Sophia ever uttering those words.

What was happening, to her?

She closed her eyes tightly, trying to fight back the emotions, the irrational hope that even if she was crazy, sheā€™d get to hear, and perhaps even see Sophia again. She knew it wasnā€™t good to feel like that, wasnā€™t good to hope for it. Sophia was gone. Dwelling on that, letting it take her voice wasnā€™t going to do her any good, and she wouldnā€™t be able to be useful anymore And being useful was, she thought, all that kept her sane.

Sophiaā€¦

She swallowed around a painful lump in her throat, using all her willpower to open her eyes, to begin to move, gathering up the meds they hadnā€™t used, hadnā€™t had a chance to use, and moving to return them to their proper place. Movingā€¦ continuing on, it was hard to do, but Niesha could let it be seen that something was wrong.

Why now? she thought to herself, wondering if it was some cruel twist of fate. Her movements were almost mechanical as she began to put the meds back in their rightful places.

Black James(!)

Location: Near 545 Corinth Rd, Newnan: In the woods. (Not far from the Coweta County Water Authority)

This was stress. Had to be. Nothing else made any sense to him. James only saw Caesar for an instant, but it was so real. He could hear the slosh of tequila in his bottle, even caught the light scent of death that always seemed to follow him, like he was born into slaughter. He wasn't a Walker, that James was sure of. He died a hero and was treated accordingly. That vision of the old man was damned convincing though, so convincing he had to say something.

The moment he did, he felt like a crazy person. The reactions of his travel buddies didn't help, either. "Seen what?" he repeated back to Beatrice, pointing over toward where he witnessed the old man. James took his slightly worn stetson from his head and clutched it to his chest. "Muthafuckin' ghost, that's all. Y'all ain't never met El Jefe 'fore he died, did you?" It was rhetorical, really. He was the only one out of their group that was in Newnan before Caesar's passing. "Well if y'all looked up in time, y'all might of met him after."

Gavin looked lost in a world of packed provisions and watercraft. Well, more power to him. Ryan had walked off, and who knows? Maybe he saw Caesar too, and was a little disturbed by him. Lord knows James would have been, if he didn't know the guy. The mildly shaken Hogger started to walk back to his truck, mumbling to himself. "Goddamn Jefe's my spirit animal or guardian angel or some shit. Ain't that a thing?" and more loudly, so that the rest of the group could hear, "Aight, I'm pullin' the truck inside and closin' us up. We gots thangs to discuss."

James started up the Silverado and looked around. "C'mon, Ryan!" he called. "I'm 'bout to close up shop." James swung the door shut and slowly pulled his truck inside the building.

Location: North Of Newnan (Veterans Memorial Park - Corner of Temple Ave. & Jackson St.)

"Jesus fuck, Lola!" exclaimed Thalia, waving a hand in front of her to ward away the swamp burble that was her Kiwi companion's belch, "Can you vent that smoke?"

Thalia had given Lola a minute or so with her tank's controls. It was almost like a ritual, giving them some uninterrupted personal time first thing before they headed out. But the moment that they lurched forward with definite path, she picked the conversation back up. She had considered mentioning that the snowplow impression she had made might have just buried their new acquaintance up top, but decided against it. It was what it was, no helping it now. "You know me, Lolz. I don't like wasting ammo. Think about it, though. I'm sitting up here playing lookout all day, getting pretty damn familiar with the controls. And what happens when you need to fire on the go? Just saying, give it a think."

Placing one hand on the interior ring of the turret, Thalia leaned down to grab her bag. She opened a side pouch that seemed filled with scraps of paper, bark, frayed fibers of unknown origin, etc, and added to it similar material from her jacket pocket that she had gathered from the park earlier that morning. It was a survival technique she had picked up during her time with the Fairburn group; always keep a measure of tinder and kindling on you if you're traveling exposed overland. A tank wasn't precisely exposed overland travel in the traditional sense, and they had plenty of scavenged, hunted, or stockpiled supplies that would last the two of them for quite some time, but Thalia preferred to have the extreme low-tech backup on standby. She placed her bag back on the floor, and contented herself with gazing out of the optics.

Involuntarily, her face twisted a bit, assaulted by a generally unpleasant odor for which she had not braced. "Fuck's sake, Lola, it came back!"

Ash & Thana

Location: Building 10 (Medical Garden)

Ash's head turned slowly over to Jack, who seemed to be having an existential crisis of his own. Point of fact, he had the shocked and confused, lost and faraway look of a man who had unexpectedly seen Ed McMahon performing hot yoga naked (except for a classy pair of argyles). That was just peachy. Well, at least he wasn't alone. But the thought sliced through his frontal lobe like a slippery icepick: If Jack was in the same boat as himself, then why? Hell, Ash had almost gotten used to the idea of being a little nuts, as long as he knew he was cracked and it didn't affect his judgement, but if his second was leaping bodily off of the deep end, they were all in trouble.

He had half a mind to look to Thana and tell her that he was no longer fit for command and forked over his sidearm right there. Instead, he spoke to Jack. "If you would, please radio your wife. Find out where she is and let her know that I'll be taking that appointment first thing after supper." Ash looked back to where he had seen Alicia a moment before, only to find empty space. "If you would." His voice was eerily calm.

The Lt. Commander rose her brow slightly as her eyes remained on Ash. One moment he seemed like he had seen a ghost, the next he was suppressing laughter, now he was remarkably calm; too calm. Taking an appointment with the woman from earlier? Perhaps he just wanted to get it out of the way.

But hadn't someone just asked him something? Like, a basic piece of conversation that had been overlooked. Looking back to Thana, he remembered finally. "Hard to say." The businesslike, commanding tone to his voice was back. Ever the dutiful Captain. "Are you okay?"

Thana's brow still hadn't come down as Ash finally addressed her question from earlier. "Yes Captain. Fit as a fiddle," she stated rather matter-of-factly. Slowly lowering her brow she held out her hand. "Keys and radio if you please sir," she said with a frankness in her voice but there was a flash of concern in her eyes.

The Captain looked down at his hands. He had indeed just relieved the security detail of James's radio and keys. Looking at them, he realized that the very recently replaced Agricultural Lead's house keys were still on the ring. Domestic staff hadn't gotten a chance to give his house a good once-over yet, likely hadn't even thought to get the necessary personal keys from Security. But Thana's insistence was justified; they belonged to her now. "Yeah, sorry. My ah... mind is elsewhere. One sec."

Ash removed the Building C keys from the ring and turned both them and the walkie over to Thana. He then gave her a momentary stare. "Thana? Probably a stupid question, but bear with me on this. Does anything seem strange to you? Anything at all?"

Taking the keys, Thana looked down as she hooked them to her belt loop and answered the Captain. "Sir, unless it is dire that I answer that question post haste it will have to wait until after I finish my duties for the day," Thana said before she looked back up and over to Ash. "I do need to tour the medical garden right now, if you would care to escort me there perhaps we can talk while I am looking over the inventory," she added before motioning towards the fenced garden just to their northwest. Things did seem off to her but it was Ash that was acting off and she wasn't about to question his mental state in front of his second.

The garden was surrounded by a tall privacy fence with barbed-wire along the top and left open for sun-light purposes. Steam rose from the garden, from which Thana could only assume was from heaters placed within the walls to keep the plants from succumbing to the snow that had fallen. "There are a few things I do need to speak with you about as it is Captain, this would be an opportune time if you have a moment to spare," Thana said, hoping he would get the gist that she was trying to get him alone and away from prying eyes to be able to speak more freely; without saying "You're acting like you are cracking and I think we should go home, now," out loud.

A momentary look of knowing showed on Ash's face before it reverted to its default stoicism. In fact, he had a couple of earnest things he wished to discuss with Thana; one related directly to her end of the business, the other more of a more delicate nature. Ash looked around his immediate surroundings, curious as to whether he was going to have another of what he hoped was merely a benign hallucination. "Absolutely, ma'am. I have a moment. Please lead the way." Even if he wasn't concerned with his mental state, he really did have a moment.

"Yes Sir," Thana said with a curt nod of her head before she turned on her heels and proceeded to walk towards the Medical Garden. As they approached the door, she unclipped the keys from her belt. It was a quick moment later and the door was unlocked and she was stepping inside and glancing around. She had been told of others that worked Agriculture as well as a couple that worked the medical garden. Her eyes darting about to see if there was anyone else there and smiling inwardly to herself to see that there was no one to be seen.

Following a half-step behind, Ash trailed Thana's movements up to and inside of the Medical Garden. It was noticeably warmer in there, prompting him to wonder if now was a good time to kill the heaters. Lucky for him, he had the place to himself with the local expert on the subject: Dr. Thana Martin, Newnan's Agricultural Lead. And if she felt that the heaters should be off, she would likely be attending to that as long as they were present. This was her baby now. Instead, Ash turned around and latched the door behind the two of them. Privacy, or what passed for it outside of their home, was upon them. "What's on your mind, Thana?"

Hearing the door latch Thana turned around and one could almost see the off duty thought pass right through her eyes. Sure she wasn't technically off duty right then but to her it was more of a smoke break. Stepping over to Ash, Thana didn't say anything at first. Simply wrapping her arms around him as she rested her head against his shoulder. It was a long caring embrace. Something she had wanted to do since she saw the look in his eyes when he had had to exile James that morning. She couldn't then. There had been too many prying eyes and he couldn't show weakness. Now though, it was different. They were alone and while not at home they had privacy.

It was surprising at first, when Thana took him into her arms. While Ash wasn't expecting it, he took to it like a parched man to water. Ash returned the embrace, wrapping his arms around the deceptively strong woman and leaning his head onto hers, feeling her warmth and breathing in the scent of her hair.

Letting out a slow breath she leaned back but did not release her embrace. "You," she said simply as she gazed up into his eyes. All the worry and caring she had hidden through out the day came washing through her blue eyes like a wave. "What's wrong?" she asked earnestly as her fingers curled against his shoulders.

Lots of things were wrong. Too many to count. But Ash felt that Thana deserved a straight answer, rather than a dismissive gesture. Reluctantly, he leaned back from her. He was not letting go of Thana, but he wanted to give her the respect of looking her in the eyes while he inexpertly tried to explain his situation.

"Different kinds of casualties in war, right?" he began, unsure on how to proceed. "Hmm... damnit. Look, not long enough ago, I was on the cusp of going off the deep end, okay? Like, unfit for command nuts, but there was no one else I trusted to take over. Hell, I just inherited command, myself. So many people died that I was responsible for, and a few of them I was close to." He paused, but nodded to himself, forcing the words to come out. "One. One in particular I was very close to. This happened about a year ago. Her corpse came back to us. I put a bullet in her skull - thank God for small favors." It was, really, in his mind. "There's more uncomfortable stuff in this time period, but the short of it is that I just saw her. Hallucinated her."

Thana reflexively leaned back just slightly, stunned by what he said. Ash hallucinated someone? That was a hell of a bomb to drop. It seemed bomb dropping was Ash's way of delivering news, no matter what it was to people. She arrives to town, gather everyone and drop the bomb. James kills someone, gather everyone, drop the bomb. They are all at the gate, drop the bomb she is now in charge of Agriculture. He is hallucinating someone, drop the bomb. What was next? Announce at dinner they were sleeping together? Trying to compose herself, she tried to go back on duty but something kept her from doing so.

"Hallucinating her? Oh, coulds it be that her? I bets it is. Of course he be hallucinating some chic he dipped his wick in. I means, not likes he be the first guy to think of some other chic after you two step into their lives. Gavin couldn'ts bes getting over Christina and lets not fergets Tony," a voice rang in Thana's head. It was a familiar voice, too familiar. It was, for all accounts to Thana, her own. Swallowing hard at the sound in her head she looked away sharply.

"Well, that is an interesting turn of events," Thana said as she pulled away and went fully back on duty. She couldn't afford not to right then. Distance and professionalism would be the only thing to keep her from falling back into that dark place she had been before she left Leesburg so long ago. Righting her head she took a parade rest stance and finally looked back at the Captain. "It has been a stressful day Sir, perhaps you should retire for the rest of the day and allow your second to take charge until tomorrow. Clear your head."

He recognized that action. Yes, this was way too similar to Ash's trademark stoicism, her suddenly pulling away and stiffening, her words reporting with more formality. His own voice tightened more than a little as he recognized that the situation had moved beyond what he wanted. Ash had to start thinking about what was best for Newnan. "One of the reasons I wanted you on board was exactly for this kind of direct but discreet advice. Something is wrong. If I'm compromised, I shouldn't be calling the shots right now." Ash sighed. This was not easy for him, but he was already in. The only way out was through, for better or worse. "Here's where I need your counsel, Thana. Logically, Newnan should pass to my Second, Jack. He was promised a honeymoon. They deserve to be happy, even if it's just for two more days. I could reinstate Dr. Bonheur on the interim, but I just removed him from it because he has too much on his plate as it is. Now he's attending to Miss Sally." A wave of sorrow passed over his face, giving evidence that the usual stone of his expression was not a perfect mask, at least not that day.

"I trust you, Thana. I think you'd do an excellent job, but you aren't established enough with these people yet. With all that has happened today, I'd rather not let everyone know that I'm unfit for command - not right now. This need to be handled quietly, but I'm afraid my only option is to grit my teeth and soldier on." His eyes met hers, and the tone of his voice changed incrementally softer. "Thana, please; I need your help." To his credit, Ash was lucid and fully rational. The last time he started to slip, it was different. He felt more stress, a general feeling of helplessness against an unforgiving world. He withdrew from people and sat in his own misery, drinking more of his own homebrew more than he should have. But now? He couldn't put his finger on it, but something was different. At least now he was seeking help. "What do you recommend?"

Thana Martin

Location: Medical Garden (10)

Thana listened to what Ash had to say but she kept her distance at this point. She understood the conundrum but she feeling as if he was jumping the gun a little bit with worrying this much. Granted she really didn't have a fully formed idea of what he had been through in the past, at least not where sanity was concerned. Taking a breath she brought up something that had irked her earlier in the day, it felt like the right time. "I think you need to slow down. You seem to have a tendency to leap before you really think things through," she stated in a no-nonsense tone.

"For example. I had not officially accepted the position as Agricultural Lead. I said I would take a look and let you know my decision later. Yet at the gate you went ahead and announced it to the entire town. This placed me in a rather unwelcome predicament. One, it took me by surprise. Two, it put me in the position of having to agree to something or make the leader of Newnan look like a fool when I called him out in public. It was not exactly something I appreciated," Thana informed Ash. "Then you changed out commands. I feel that you might have held off on that had you not jumped the gun as it were concerning my position here in town. Yet, there is nothing that can be done about that now."

Taking a breath, Thana's tone soften slightly. "We are not sure what you saw yet. This is something you need to look into more, in a manner of speaking. If you are truly worried about being fit for command and with the lack of options you have presented me I suggest you stay by the side of someone you trust, run all decisions by them until you make a full decision on whether or not you need to step down." She had heard of people hallucinating before, especially after a traumatic event. Much of the time they recovered quickly as long as they didn't try to bottle it up. It didn't seem that Ash was trying to hide it. Holding out her hand to him she locked her blue eyes with his own. "Either way I think you should relinquish your side arm. If your cheese has in fact slipped off it's cracker, I would rather not have to put a bullet in your skull for trying to open fire on a crowd because you thought you saw something.

Lola Holler

Location: North Of Newnan (Spring & St. Clair)

"Hell no! That be Chili and Mac And Cheese, together! Just as lovely coming up as it was going down!" Lola laughed as she turned the monster of a tank and began to drive down the road. She had been rather proud of that belch. It was loud, it was long, and it was deep. Not to mention it carried more nasal triggers than a car stuffed with 10,000 pine forest air fresheners from the car wash, only much more.... rotten? To her it was wonderful. Sure it didn't exactly have a smell like petrol on a mid summers eve but it made ones head spin just as much.

Hearing Jet bitch again only made Lola laugh even louder. "Fucking boomerang effect gets ya every time," she bellowed. "Just wait till tonight when all that goodness works it ways through all me pipes! I'm gonna singe the hair right off your legs! Be the closest thing to a shave you're probably gonna have for the next year." The woman had no shame.

Going down Temple, west from the smoke Lola finally swung the mammoth mobile down College Street and then hung a right onto Wesley. Some of the snow was still piled up on the other roads and while she normally would have plowed right through it, they did have a passenger riding up top. She figured she could be at least semi nice and not send more snow his way. Sure, it might be putting him further away from the smoke for now but hey, better than ice down once drawers. Right? Finally hitting St. Clair she started heading south again.

Tatiana Korvo

Location: The Newnan's House (Building F)

Tatiana finished her meal and set her dishes in the sink. She needed to wash them but she figured she would at least wait to hear from Jack before she did any cleaning. Would be silly to wash dishes twice, waste of water. Running a rag over the few crumbs that had managed to get on the counter she shook out the rag in the trash can before hanging it back up and going to rest on the couch. She needed to prop her foot up and part of her really didn't want Jack to come home and see her on her feet. She knew she could handle it but she also knew that Jack wouldn't like it. Didn't matter how small the injury was, now that they were married and she was pregnant she figured she could get a hang nail and he would treat her as if she had just lost a limb.

Yet she hadn't even managed to get to the couch when she heard a knock at the door. Moving over she peeked out the front glass and smiled a bit. Speaking of lost limbs, there was Ray on her front porch. Opening the door she greeted him. "Hi Ray, come on in, have seat," she said in her ever bright voice as she carefully stepped out of his way and held the door open for him. Once he was inside she closed it and had a seat on the couch. "Hov is everything?" she asked as she picked up her radio from the coffee table and attached it to her belt loop. She hadn't heard anything back about Miss Sally and that worried her but may no news was good new right then?

Jack Hudson

Location: Outside Building One (Medical)

Jack didn't notice the way Brian kept glancing over his shoulder, too consumed with the fact that he had seen Dick. Hell, he didn't notice if anyone else around him seemed to be a little bit off as well. He felt and looked pale as he nodded at Ash, walking off from the group as he pulled out his radio. "Tatiana? It's Jack. Where are you?" Jack asked, his voice shaken. He didn't want to radio over Ash's request, figuring that it deserved a little privacy. He could tell Tatiana about it face to face--right before informing her that her husband had begun a spiraling descent into insanity.

There really would be no good way to break that news.

Oh, and the fact that Miss Sally had died. Part of him didn't want to tell Tatiana any of this, worrying that the stress would be bad for their baby. But Tatiana was Russian--she could handle it. And she had to know that these sort of things were happening. Jack didn't want to wake up one day and find that he had gone berserk. He certainly didn't want to hear Dick's voice in his head for the rest of his life either. He'd almost rather face a horde of one hundred walkers without any weapons. It didn't even occur to him that Ash might've been going insane as well. His request for an appointment was rationalized by the Boston native as simply needing to express his grief over the recent deaths--not because of hearing voices.

Beatrice Decker

Location: Near 545 Corinth Rd, Newnan: In the woods. (Not far from the Coweta County Water Authority)

Beatrice raised an eyebrow at James' explanation, since it was lacking in sanity. She didn't know who 'El Jefe' was, but he seemed to either be an urban legend or someone James respected greatly. It was a toss up between the two, really. Of course, considering the fact that she had seen Bryn try to kill Ryan, she couldn't help but wonder if there had been something in the water back at Newnan. Was that why Ryan had gone off by himself--had he seen something? Gavin was so happy go lucky that Beatrice wouldn't have been surprised if he didn't even notice he was going insane. Or maybe insanity was normal for him. That was the more likely explanation.

"So you've gone completely insane. That's fun," Beatrice commented with a shrug. "If you decide to kill us all, I'd like to go last. It's always been a dream of mine to outlive Ryan." She figured the chance of James going completely homicidal was slim, but she also wouldn't have predicted he would kill Dick. There was a good possibility that James would end up butchering them all. Or at least, most of them. Maybe there'd be an anti-psychotic among the supplies that they could give James.

Or maybe they'd just need to keep him incredibly stoned all of the time. That in itself could be amusing.

Chloe & Ravi

Location: Building One (Medical)

Chloe had managed to sort most of the texts into topical areas, having stacked the books for the moment. Her mind was free of voices and distractions, though it wouldn't have been the first time something weird like that had happened in her head. She had been given horrible acid once while in solitary, but it was the best you could get the guards to bring you. And while she liked to think that she was beyond her druggie days, she felt a bit of a craving at the moment. Pinching the skin on her arm lightly as if a reminder, she kept on with her work. Drugs weren't going to fix her problems this time.

Ravi nodded, sensing that Froggy was relieved he wouldn't have to embalm Miss Sally. "If you have an inventory of chemicals on hand, I can see if we have the proper supplies," Ravi offered, though he figured that a run would be a better option. Provided that the embalming chemicals had been stored properly, they'd be the best thing to use on Miss Sally. A 'home remedy' wouldn't always give the best results, especially since he hadn't had to synthesize anything really since organic chemistry in college. And that was longer ago than he'd care to admit.

Panic enveloped him for a moment as he saw Gavin in front of him. His first thought was that Gavin had somehow decided not to go to fight Peachtree City singlehandedly after all and that he had returned to Newnan. But Froggy would've had some sort of reaction if he saw the cowboy. Instead, Ravi just looked sadly at the illusion.

I thought it would be Liv.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Franklin Wall Building C (C2 Riley's Room) -> Building 1 (Infirmary)

As Riley continued to walk down past LaGrange Street she had her hands inside of her pockets as she quietly hummed herself a tune, she was slowly starting to approach the Infirmary. She was hoping that Ms. Sally was alright there, she hadn't heard any status on her just yet and wasn't even sure if they were all still busy in there or not, she gave a few nods towards the other residents as they went on about their day.

As Riley made it to the infirmary door Riley slowly opened the door and looked around the main room for anyone that was there, she didn't need any medical attention she just wanted to see her sister and took a step into the waiting room in the infirmary. "Is Chloe there?" Riley asked as she stood by the door, if they needed her to leave she would if they did tell her to.

Raymond Mendoza

Location: Building F Tatiana & Jack's Home

Raymond stood outside of Tatiana and Jack's home for a little bit as he watched the kids continuing their game as if nothing had happened between Peaches and Schrodinger chasing after her with what was his leg. He was disturbed at what he had seen as he leaned up against the side of the door for a little bit. Then Ray saw Tatiana getting up from where she was sitting and made her way over towards the door and opened up for him. "Hey again Tati." Raymond said as he gave her a smile as he took a step into the room and made his way over towards the couch and simply flopped down there.

When she asked him how he was, he wasn't really sure what to actually say he did need to tell her what he had actually saw but he wasn't sure if he was going off the deep end or not. "I'm doing alright." Ray answered as she reached over for her radio, he then closed his eyes for a moment before finally speaking. "I'm not sure if i'm going crazy or you might laugh or not, but while I was on my way over here I saw Peaches being chased by Schrodinger." He paused for a moment as Ray rubbed the back of his neck for a moment before finally finishing. "But anyway the uhm, the cat was running with my leg in his mouth." He finally admitted.

Kristina Smith

Location: Mess Hall

Kristina smiled at the three women glad that she would be able to help out with their work, it certainly did beat having to just stand around Newnan and do nothing for the remainder of the day. When Amelia and Tiffany suggested to separate into two groups so that they would have space and wouldn't hit each other while they dug the graves. "Sounds like a plan to me." Kristina said grabbing herself a hoe and shovel, and made her way over and started to break into the dirt while looking over at Meghna and Tiffany. She got a feeling that there was something going on with her, but Meg didn't say what.

"So are you guys okay?" Kristina asked Amelia as she worked, she was still upset that James was forced to leave which saddened her she was really close to James and always did look up to him as an older brother. Kristina ran a hand through her hair as she whipped away a little bit of sweat off of her forehead and started to take off her jacket dropping it onto the ground.

Meghna Kumar

Location: Outer Wall

Meghna turned to look over at Amelia as she made her suggestion to make two smaller groups two to burry each hole, it would certainly make things a lot easier then having to have all four of them digging into a single hole. "Yeah that works for me." Meghna said as she grabbed herself a shovel and a hoe, then her attention went to Tiffany and smiled slightly and nodded. Her mind was still really creeped out what she had heard and seen back at the workshop. Meg then started to make her way towards the hole that she had attempted to start digging into a few moments ago before the kids were freaking out over the sight of the blood and gore.

Meg then started to use the hoe breaking into the frozen and muddy dirt, to get it to loosen up getting it to slowly fit the size of a human that way that they wouldn't have an issue with putting the body down. Meghna turned her attention towards Tiffany for a moment, even though they were friends she wasn't sure why Tiffany suddenly wanted to help her with the first hole. "So whats up?" Meghna asked while she worked, and started to switch over to the shovel while occasionally making eye contact with Tiffany as she did so.

Tiffany Lyle

Location: Outer Wall

Tiffany grabbed her respective hoe and went to work on the hole along with Meg. She watched the girl a bit, still getting that feeling there was something underneath. Sure enough, Meg asked her point place what was up. "Call it the old lawyer in me, but I am pretty decent at picking up unspoken things from people. Something has been bothering you ever since we set foot in that building."

"And call it intuition or smarts or whatever, but I have a feeling it has more to do with the three dead people and the three gone on a trip. We've dealt with it the best we can and we are laying them to rest as we speak, so it can't be just hitting you now that all this has happened. I won't pry if you don't want to talk, but if something is bothering you, I can be a good ear. I may not be the resident counselor here, but I could give it a try."
She offered the girl a smile. She liked Meg and it bothered her to see the girl so worried about something. Hell, she had her own demons to battle and all of this was just adding them on. One shouldn't have to deal with them alone, which is why she was thankful for her new friends and for Ray. She was sure if she hadn't met this community, she would be dead.

Alexander Polawski

Location: North Of Newnan (Spring & St. Clair)

"...Really, what's the point?" The words escaped Alexander's lips, almost without him realizing what he was saying. That question, The Question had come back to haunt him many times those last years. His whole life actually, when the thought about it. Sometimes he would find himself crouched beside the bed in the middle of the night, just staring out the window at the cloudy sky, tears rolling down his cheeks. Why? Because that question kept coming back to him, again and again. Especially when he the Dreams;

They were similar to the one he had had that very night, save from the image of his burning wife embracing him and biting. One would revolve around the air-strike he called in a village, burning it to the ground. And yet, for all the reinsurances he gave himself; all the times he was told it was the right thing to do by his superiors; even for the explainations and mind-exercises his shrink gave him, he couldn't the images out of his head...

Out of the midst of the green jungle, an opening appears before him. Small structures, built out of wood, bamboo and leaves stand amidst small patches of rice fields. People in Oriental clothing dot the landscape, minding their own business and paying little to no attention to the strange, tall men in green military fatigues who approach them. The army men armed to the teeth with assault rifles, grenades, and a policy of "Bomb first, ask questions later".

They never find out who fired the first shot, but within seconds, the squad of American soldiers open fire with everything they have at the villagers. They don't stand a chance, not even those armed with Soviet and Chinese hardware. Alexander himself asks for orders. He's told to call in an air-strike "...before shit hits the fan and they're FUBAR." Alexander get's on the radio, asking for confirmation of the order. He get's his confirmation.

Then the village is no more. Only an inferno of fire and smoke envelopes the small patch of open land in the jungle. At first a small patch of Paradise, they have turned it all to the Seventh realm of Hell. He, Alexander, have done so. Silhouettes appear from the burning hellfire, themselves engulfed in an orange glow that no amounth of water can extinguish, no amounth of booze or pills drown out.

Then he would feel the warm touch of a hand on his shoulder, and turn around to see her there, looking worriedly at him. Alexander would smile, gently squeezing it back and going back to back. She would make it feel all right again. She cold make him forget and forgive, drowning out The Question. But she was gone, and he was alone.

The tank rolled onwards, the two tank women presumably oblivious to the old man's little piece of Hell. Perhaps it was better that way, no need to drag them down into the ground with him. He didn't pay attention to the tank driving away from the smoke for a moment, before returning to course. He simply sat there, wanting to cheer up and push those dark thoughts away, but knowing neither of them wanted to talk with him.

Amelia Payne

Location: Outer Wall

Tiffany seemed to agree with her so that was good. Amelia at least felt like she didn't propose something stupid. The pairs were also decent enough so taking a firm hold of a hoe in her hands, she waited for Meg and Kristina to agree or disagree so they can start work. It was going to be blistering work to dig through the frozen earth and it wasn't going to be easy by any means. That said she was ready to give her best for Sana and the othe.... well except the man she was not going to name anymore. He deserved so much worse than a simple death, so she was just going to erase him from her mind. His name, his face and even his voice.

When Kristina moved over to start digging and Meg also agreed on the whole plan, Amelia quickly followed and with as much force as she could she rose and swung the hoe. It was bound to get somewhat easier to dig after they get somewhat deeper than a few feet down.

ā€œI...ā€ Amelia started to reply to Kristina, but stopped herself turning quiet as she swung the tool at the hard frozen ground.ā€ I... don't know.ā€ Was her reply.ā€ I'm not sure... So much things happened in such a short span of time... Still trying to sort it... and I guess not think... about... it.ā€ She stopped swinging the hoe as she moved her right hand to wipe the tears of her face, before just taking the tool once more to swing it hard.ā€ Have to work... shouldn't think.ā€
