| Character Identity | Sir Topham Hatt A.K.A. The Controller
| Age | 25
| Character Differences | Pretty much everything. In this universe, Topham isnt a rich business Mogel. Instead, he is a young, brash hero with a magical hat and a need to do what is right in the world. His Hat contains the spirits of several ancient entities that possess machines and turn them into warriors for justice. He can only channel one of these warriors at a time, though. These spirits are:
*Thomas: A chirpy young spirit with a justice-lust comparable to Tophams. He comes with his gun and sword, named "Annie and Clarabel" *Edward: the most ancient of the spirits, he is wise beyond all others and possesses the ability to turn into animal-like structures. *Henry: A large and powerful pyromantic spirit with an immense dislike if rain and Elephants. *Gordon: The largest, most powerful and fastest of all of the spirits, he uses his strength and speed to overcome everything. *Bill and Ben: Double Trouble. These twins are the only ones that can come out as multiples, they split the machine into multiple smaller copies of themselves, getting smaller and weaker with every split and overwhelm through numbers. They also contain the power to teleport short distances *Boco: A strong and intelligent spirit, he can harness magics to overwhelm his opponents. *Diesel: Powerful, but overconfident and evil. Diesel is a last resort for Topham.
| Brief World Background | So, in this continuity, Sodor is a cyberpunk dystopian future where everything is controlled by the evil "Lenenbaum, Barston & Sandford Corporate Realties" who have destroyed Tophams fathers compamy, the North Western Railways. NWR is now just a subsidiary of LB&SCR. LB&SCR now use their advances technologies to create sentient machines by trapping spirits of an ancient civilisation in these machines. Topham uses his own spirits and magic hat to fight them.
| Brief Character Background | Born to as the son of Duke Hatt of Sodor, who was the head of the North Western Railway. Growing up, Topham was always fascinated by the railways and would regularly ride all day with the friendly guards and gasp in awe at the beautiful cities and countryside. Tophams life of happiness came to an end at the outbreak of the Third Great War, his father was called up as the government signed an "All adults must serve" order. His father would not return.
Luckily, the war never got as far as Sodor, but what did was LB&SCR, the mega corporation that had grabbed power for themselves during the war. By the end of the war, with most of the land owners of Sodor dead, LB&SCR was able to buy pretty much the entire island for pennies. Topham was thrown out of their mansion with his mother, luckily, the people loyal to his father were able to keep them from living on the streets and Topham spent the next 15 years watching Sodor getting turned from a rustic paradise to a cyberpunk hellhole.
It was at the age of 15 that Topham got involved with the North Western gang, one of the biker gangs that roamed Sodors skyscraper filled streets looking for trouble and fighting the LB&SCR security forces. He was caught during one of their raids and thrown into prison for 3 years. When he was finally released, on the way home, he saw an old man getting brutally beaten by security forces. After driving them off, the old man gave him a hat as payment, saying that if he put it on, that he would have the power to defeat LB&SCR. After putting it on, he was met by an ancient spirit that greeted him as a friend. His name was ancient and unpronouncable. Topham decided to call him Thomas. Thomas explained that LB&SCR had been using his brothers and sisters to help them conquer everything. That working together, they could free the trapped spirits. Thomas explained that the spirits could possess machines and transform them to Suit their needs and that the spirits used by LB&SCR were corrupted, and that the hat could purify them.
Topham and Thomas went on an underground war against LB&SCR and have freed many spirits from their control. Topham was about to stage his final assault on LB&SCR HQ when he was abducted by some mysterious forces.
Well, since we are all doing a second sheet that is a little less serious, I decided to get in on this.
@ComradeMaxx "Its time for some motherfuckin democracy!"
Norman: "Feel liberty! S.H.I.E.L.D! Taste the sweet nourishment of freedom, New York!" Asgard: *fights back* Norman: *Charges unibeam* "Boy, I'm about to liberate the ever living fuck out of you!"
| Character Differences | Morbius, in this version, creates his serum in an attempt to save his wife. He is actually married to Rachel Van Helsing. He is also able to absorb a single, random power from those he bites. So, biting someone like Superman wouldnt necessarily make him into a Kryptonian Vampire, but grant him perhaps Hurricane Breath or Heat Vision. ((CREATORS NOTE: I actually want to leave this to be a GM decision as to what powers he gets, because i think it'll add a nice random element to character building))
Morbius has also worked his way up to being King of all Vampires, with dominion over the Vampires of his universe, a power stolen from Dracula when he bit and drained his blood. Michael also now wears a suit of red armour similar to Dracula's as well as having taken his magic sword. Michael looks very much the part of a king of all vampires.
Victor Friese: Cold Resistance (Can survive subzero temperatures with few ill effects Dracula: Dominion over Vampires. (All vampires instinctively follow all orders that he gives.) Captain Britain: Flight (He can fly at close to the speed of sound... Unfortunately, he isn't able to actually get close to that speed. Brian can fly that fast due to his force-field protecting him. Due to Michael lacking this force field, he can get to a maximum speed of maybe 50MPH before he starts having problems with his breathing and physical strain of wind resistance.)
| Brief World Background | Michael comes from an Amalgam universe, where some of the Marvel and DC characters exist together, but not everyone. So, whereas Superman, Wonder Woman, Iron Man and Spider-Man exist, Batman, Green Lantern, Hulk and Captain America do not. In his universe, Vampires work very similarly to Buffy. If a vampire bites and drains all of the blood from your body, then your soul is sealed away inside and leaves a special tracing spell that calls a minor demonic spirit to possess and puppet your flesh.
Gotham exists, despite a lack of Batman, with Victor Friese becoming a hero to combat the villains that plague the streets, he originally took a little cut from all of the robberies that he stopped, until Tony Stark approached him and offered to help fund his research into saving Nora, in return for working with him in the creation of new suits.
The founding members of the Avengers are; Superman (Clark Kent), Wonder Woman (Diana Prince), Iron Man (Tony Stark) Captain Britain (Brian Braddock) Thor (Odinson) and The Blue Beetle (Dan Garrett)
In this world, the Infinity War just happened very similarly to the comic, Thanos created the Gauntlet and with a flick of his wrist, all of the universes Infinity Stones fly to him and fot themselves into the Gauntlet. Then, to win favour with his love, Lady Death, he snaps his fingers and half of the universe turns to dust in the wind. This happens at the exact moment of the biggest day of the Avengers career. The day of the wedding of Wonder Woman and Thor Odinson, the coming together of the houses of Zeus and Odin. Or at least, it would have been, had Odin, Superman, Zeus and half of the wedding guests hadn't turned to dust just as Diana had started walking down the aisle.
The remaining Avengers, along with the League of Monsters and just about every other superpowered being that the Earth can muster, headed for Titan, with the grieving Wonder Woman leading the charge.
| Brief Character Background | Michael was born in Stuttgart, Germany. his father, a philosopher and mother a Doctor, he took more after his mother, growing up fascinated in the ways of science, he was constantly at odds with his father, who had always wanted his son to become a philosopher, this animosity only grew when, at the age of 13, he lost his mother to a car accident. His father and he grew very distant before he went to medical school and studied biology and biogenetics. His life seemed to be going in a good direction, that was until his first encounter with her...
Walking home from a lecture one night, he was attacked by a Vampire that beat him half to death, before attempting to turn him, before the creature could bite him, however, he was found by Rachel Van Helsing, the Vampire hunter, who slew the creature. After she saved him, he became enamoured with her and followed her, offering his assistance as a researcher. He and Rachel eventually fell in love and were married. Although Michael wasn't much of a fighter, he developed multiple new, Anti-Vampire bio-weapons for Rachel to use in her fights. He also got to meet other monsterous entities from across the world, some friendly, some not so much. One that they did find was a friendly Vampire in Los Angeles, as well as, in Egypt, a team of American Commando's made up of monsters. Eventually, Rachel fell pregnant and it seemed as though their lives were almost complete... Then one day, Rachel fell ill. She lost the baby, before soon losing her ability to breathe properly. She was diagnosed with "McGregor's Syndrome" which was thought completely incurable, but, after a bit of research, his findings brought him to someone online by the name of "HOI"
Michael and HOI corresponded for quite some time as they worked together on a cure and made some good headway, they even developed a stop-gap for stage one patients, such as Rachel, where they could put her into a medically induced coma and keep her under indefinitely. However, their working together was cut short when HOI stopped connecting and then, the funds that they were sharing in a bank account were frozen. Going underground in Greece, Michael continued to hunt vampires until he came to the realization that, perhaps, they could be the answer. Vampires contained incredible healing powers, he had never even heard of one getting sick. He managed to capture one and began to work on adapting the Vampiric genetics to synthesize a cure. But, without HOI's help, he quickly ran into walls. Specifically, he ran out of samples from Nora's advanced stage 3 and was forced to run tests on Vamprie Bats that he infected. Finally, he managed to synthesize what he believed to be a mutagen that would give humans the healing factor of Vampires, with no other choice, his first test subject was himself. What happened next, he had no idea, but when he came to, he was surrounded by a dead biker gang and he had mutated...
Getting home, he looked in the mirror to find himself horrifically mutated and with a taste for blood... Not wanting to accept what he was, a full-blooded vampire, he grabbed a silver stake and drove it through his own heart. He waited and waited, but death didn't come for him. He threw himself into the sun, but again, death was no-where to be seen. After some quick tests, he found that he wasn't a vampire in the typical sense. He was... Something else... He tried to correspond with several other scientists that he knew, but nobody was willing to return his messages. Those that were quickly stopped replying as soon as he brought the word "Vampire" into the conversation. HOI finally came back online and he arranged to finally meet HOI.
HOI revealed himself to be noneother than Gothams protector, the man they called Mr Freeze. Victor performed several tests on him, but found that Michael had mutated severely and had gained the ability to absorb the powers of whoever he drank the blood of, but the tradeoff was that if he stopped drinking blood for more than a few days, then he would quickly die as his blood consumed itself.
After working with Victor and several others that he knew, he managed to stabilise the serum. To the point where it would save Rachel. Unfortunately, during his travels, he had managed to draw the ire of the king of Vampires, Count Dracula. Dracula got to Rachel first and made him an offer "Join me or I kill Rachel." Morbius, not wishing to see Rachel die, agreed. This turned out to be a ruse on Draculas part, as he didn't want a slave that would turn on him as soon as he got the chance. He wanted a partner that would join him willingly. The only way Michael would do that would be if he lost all connection to Humanity, so Draculas path was clear. Dracula bit Rachel, turning her into a Vampire. Although, the minor demon that possessed her wasnt one of Dracula's thrall, but another ancient spirit that despised Dracula. She attacked Dracula and drove him off, but escaped, trying to hunt down the Vampire King.
Michael, on the other hand, went to gather his allies, before marching on Dracula's castle, with the help of his friends, he managed to defeat Dracula and bit him, drinking his blood and overthrowing him as King of all Vampires. As his first act, he decreed that Dracula would be banished and that blindly attacking humans was outlawed to all vampires. That they would try to consume animal blood when possible.
Michael, with his allies, created a new team "The League of Monsters" and their first duty was to try and find Rachel. They found Rachel just in time for an event to rock the world. Unbeknownst to anyone, the mad titan, Thanos, had gathered the Infinity Stones, the building blocks to the universe and had wiped out half of all life in an attempt to win favor with Lady Death herself. Michael found Rachel just in time to watch her fade to dust before his very eyes. Inconsolable angry, Morbius contacted the Avengers to find out what had happened, he joined their team that went to take down Thanos. The Vampire King fought side-by-side with the greatest warriors known to humanity, many fell before the Titan, but eventually, they were victorious, yanking the gauntlet from his hand and then... Nothing...

I would suggest writing it out on paper at the moment so it doesn't suffer from the quality of a phone, and then type it out on a computer should an extension be given.
@Retired Is there any chance that I might be able to get an extension to the August 18th timeslot, because I am without a computer right now and will probably be without it till Monday, but would REALLY like to throw a character sheet in this and would like to not be hampered by the fact that I had to write it out on a phone. Is there any way I could convince you to extend it to maybe Midnight on Tuesday?
@Ellri I just want to start this by saying, yes, I accept that this character is a bust and I doubt that there is anything that I can say or do that will get him accepted, but I would like some answers on what you mean by several of the critiques:
"He is not appropriately tied to the Jedi or Sith Orders." He is a Jedi... he's clearly a Jedi, he is constantly referred to as a Jedi, he has trained a large number of Jedi, I dont understand this critique at all.
"In addition, a lot of the elements making up the character appear to be slapped together out of convenience, rather than being parts of a single whole. It feels less like a single character than several partial characters stuck together out of desire for a variety of elements." Can I ask what the hell this is supposed to mean? Like, I'm all one for criticism, I can take someone telling me my character is bad and I should feel bad and to be honest, I understand the core of what this means and I assume you mean "Trying to make a character do too many things to try and cover all of the bases at once." (I'll admit to being guilty of doing this with other characters) but how the hell does it apply to Korrsh? "He is a Hutt Jedi who keeps skirting around the law and tiptoing on the edge of breaking it, because he understands that this is what you have to do to maintain order in this chaotic world and because of this, they wont give him the rank of Master as he is seen as too much of a liability, much to his chagrin." That is the core of character. Are you referring to the fact that he has Bounty Hunter allies that he works with? Does he come across as too much of "This guy is trying to make a Hutt Crimelord and a Jedi at the same time, pick one and stick to it?"
These two things stick out like a sore thumb. Im not trying to be difficult, but I am always striving to improve my writing techniques and I cant take criticism to heart and embrace it, if I dont understand the critisism. Can you explain in a little more detail what you dont like so I can avoid it with my next character? Like, your saying "It feels like your trying to make multiple characters in one" could you tell me what you think the other characters are and what you might suggest taking out to improve that?
All I'm asking for is a little more feedback, please.
Sorry, but my computer is taking a little longer to repair than they thought. It'll be repaired either tomorrow or Monday. So Sunday is the earliest I can get an IC up, maybe Tuesday, otherwise.
