Charlie Strange

Charlie looked curiously at Gyuuki’s horns and after nodding to himself as if confirming something, he put down the drone on his back and painted on a smile and shook Charles’ hand unsure what to do in such a situation. Group work was never his strong suit and although it seemed to be required, Charlie couldn’t help but groan internally. Not because anyone was untrustworthy or incompetent, assumptions like that were naive and petty, especially given Reiko's speech. It was simple self confidence on Charlie's part. The fact was that Charlie believed in his own competency and the unpredictability of others was rather undermining.

“It’s nice to meet you all. I’m sure we will achieve great things, but I doubt we will do them overnight. I mean sure, maybe, but it does depend partially on team composition and battlefield roles” looking around Charlie tried to spy Tatsu. It rang feminine in his ear and as others seemed to be gathering the powerhouse outside seemed to be her. She did look like a bit of a one trick pony, but that one trick did appear to be rather potent. The words “Power Overwhelming” came to mind when looking at her. Hell, he wished he had a trick that was half as tough as she looked!

“Oh? Supervisors? Emilia and Lucille. Nice names. I will enjoy putting faces to them later. So do we have a... dorm of some kind? Or for me to be a bit selfish, a workshop? Some gizmos need replacing and gadgets need repairing. Plus I want to see if I can Frankenstein Fido here~” stretching his arms above his head, Charlie felt more than heard a few creaks in his back, drones aren't light after all, and the sleeves of his lab coat slipped down, showing a few old burn marks from a soldering iron.

I could post, but that would be just filling in time until Arcadia I think. I'll do that if you think it will benefit
Carver Jazz

Grinning as Sheridan introduced herself, and more importantly took the free sample. Following her out, Carver whistled as he saw her car. It was slick and looked like it could move like a bat out of hell when pushed.

“Well, your doing well for yourself. Or are you one of those people who buys a car over buying a house? That doesn’t seem like you. You look like the type of person who enjoys their bed and coffee machine each morning” scratching his head Carver’s ever present smile looked at Sheridan before sliding to the back from the passenger’s side, making room for the church girl Isotta.

“Don’t worry, I’ve had worse and besides, it’s just a trip to school. So ten to fifteen minutes tops. I’m sure we’ll have enough to worry about once we get there so let’s all smile and enjoy the trip~” trying to act as something close to a peace keeper and getting as comfortable as he could, Carver buckled up in the back and tapped his knees in anticipation of the night ahead

@TheFake @Flamelord
Also sorry, I'll get something up soon (also sorry for my slowness Fake)
Unrelenting Jukebox

Following Eclipse to the Dungeon, Jukebox was casually meandering after the group, not meaning to eavesdrop, but when your in a group and two people are talking, it’s hard to not overhear some things. Judging by the back and forth, Nies and Eclipse were friends and believed they were in a spy film of some sort, speaking in riddles. Probably for the best, internet security and all that.

“The black dove crows thrice upon the blue moon, crescent shape waning~” amusing himself, Jukebox paid particular attention to the details of the dungeon. Oh? Heavily armoured? I guess it pays to keep some jokes around! equipping the gun based on the film Blade Runner Alas, I lack night vision, still, they probably have glowing bits to shoot at

Watching Eclipse make short work of the enemies, Jukebox smiled and wondered why she brought them along? Regardless, he didn’t want to be someone who didn’t pull his own weight, so twirling the gun in his hands, he pulled back the hammer and fired at the group of <<Mech Centurion>>, fanning the hammer, the armour piercing rounds ignoring a portion of their armour and shredding their health directly, one going down while the other two were lightly wounded comparatively.

“Sorry about that Miss Eclipse” watching the spend rounds fall from the revolver like chamber before reloading “It was such a pleasure watching you work that I forgot I was even here. I’m glad to see you enjoying yourself, regardless~” smiling on the outside, Jukebox was rather disconcerted at this dungeon and its gimmick, but was glad that he was with a veteran of the tricks and claimed to solo it, a rare feat, so obviously has some trick with either ability or equipment to help her out.

“So we blow the generators, putting us in the dark, kill all machine monsters and enter the Boss chamber... how do we deal with it?” chuckling as he continued shooting "My normal M.O. is to run it over with a vehicle, not an option here. Or drop something heavy form on high and Bosses rarely have that option~" half hoping any of those options were viable, but resolved to make the best of the situation regardless.

Charlie Strange

Charlie looked rather despondent. He hadn’t got a card, he’d failed the test. Sure he still got in and apparently the entire group was said to have failed, but he couldn’t help but feel somewhat inferior. Still carrying the ‘dead’ hound drone around Charlie paid avid attention to Reiko’s words.

They all chose to be here and no matter what happens from this point on, it was all on their head. The groups were to be expected, the rules of the failed test and tarot cards made that quite apparent, so Charlie buried his disdain for group work and relying on others and accepted that this was how the academy worked and since he did choose to be here, he’d better suck it up and get to work so to speak.

However watching Reiko suddenly burst out and almost crush a guy’s family jewels... Charlie couldn’t help but press his legs together and wince. Watching Reiko walk off, Charlie saw her incinerate her gloves as she left.
A device to increase ambient heat? Or is are they specially designed glove for wet work? Toss them away and they burn up, leaving no evidence? An interesting material if that’s the case...

Mind whirring as he considered the possible technologies that created such an effect he almost missed the teams being called out.

"Team 1: Juniper, Erisa, Kurenai, Shinobu."

"Team 2: Lloyd, Gil, Marith, Makoto."

"Team 3: Gyuuki, Charles, Tatsu, Charlie."

Team 3? That seems alright. That being said the number had little to no bearing as far as he could tell and he was completely unfamiliar with his new team members. Looking about, Charlie did his best to try and find said team members trying to see who had reacted to what number.

“Gyuuki... Charles and... Tatsu” looking around Charlie went up to the tall woman seemed to have a tail “Hi, are you either Gyuuki, Charles or Tatsu?... You don’t look like a Charles if I’m being honest” smiling at the tall woman, Charlie readjusted the dog drone on his back as if it was a simple backpack.
Carver Jazz

After his little announcement, Carver was met by silence. A bit disheartening, another night of a solo expedition into the Crimson Sky. It does remove the fun being all alone, plus it's hard to make a sale when there are no customers. Well that was the case until a new arrival showed up. She settled herself in she had coffee and a muffin, nice choice, before asking about the graffiti case. All but flying into the chair opposite the elegant lady, Carver grinned.

“That would be me, Miss. Carver Jazz, master of symbol based magic and seller or all manner of enchanted goods, at your service~” grinning like the Cheshire Cat, Carver took out an ice-cream stick with a symbol drawn on it.

“Here, have a free sample. Break this stick in a direction and a concussion blast of air will be launched for a minimum of ten meters. Beyond that and the pushing capability is diluted. Oh dear, I launched right into the the salesman pitch before my manners. May I ask your name? I feel so awful for not asking till now” not breaking eye contact, Carver tried to get a read on the lady in front of him before giving up. It really wasn’t worth the effort to try and break that well made poker face. There was work to be done.

“Do you have a method of transport for us to arrive at the school? Or shall we take a moonlit stroll? I live relatively close by so why waste fuel in this economy, right? Not to mention the fact no insurance would cover an Oni attack”
@TheFake Sorry about that, I'll get on it asap. Expect it within 24 hours, at the absolute latest, but hopefully a lot sooner
Tori

Tori grinned on the outside while cringing, hard, on the inside. She truly didn’t know how to deal with the two little girls of Berlina. She did suspect that they took more after their mother, in that they were far shrewder than they let on. They ran about laughing and giggling without a care in the world, yet regardless they still managed to get their way as if some divine providence dictated it. It truly made Tori uneasy, as if these kids had all somehow known what she would do before she did it. Even more so, she could find no reason to leave them that Berlina would accept. Danger? Oh she has faith in Tori. Distracting? They are bright little girls. Anything Tori said she could imagine Berlina's response, so Tori simply took it in her stride and decided to make do.

Stepping aboard the airship, the twins made themselves known to everyone aboard, shouting orders that were already being followed and making childishly foreboding warnings of the area.
“For unmapped ruins you two do seem to know a fair bit about them. I guess you two truly are Berlina’s daughters” looking to Alex, Tori had to wonder his motivations for coming to Arcadia. She loved this place, knowing its ins and outs, discovering for herself and such. Knowing Arcadia was goal enough for her, but that reasoning was rather uncommon and as far as she knew no one else cared for it.
In an attempt to find out Tori wracked her brain as she tried to recall his name. Sure she knew it, but she didn’t really store it so she had to dive into the recycle bin to try and find it.

“So… Alex…? Alex. What’s your particular motivation for coming to Arcadia? Holiday? Work? You one of them treasure hunters with dreams of a windfall? Poor choice of words. Although a strong wind would result in a fall I suppose..." looking at him, Tori assumed he was one of the later. People outside of the Imperium rarely, if ever, have work in the sky islands and only Tori would find it a good holiday destination when Aquaria was so close.

"Anyway be careful if you are treasure hunting. It’s a long way down and a heavy load can drain the stamina and easily unbalance you. If you do fall you can apparently have enough time to write your last will and testimony on the way before you hit something. I’ve heard there was one guy who survived. The fall anyway, he landed on a mountain, died a while later of frostbite and infection from the broken bones… hmm that’s probably a bit morbid… still it’s a good lesson.” stretching out, Tori rubbed her eyes under her glasses and looked around for something resembling coffee.
