The Sound of Music (1965) My husband was astounded one evening to find out that I hadnβt watched this movie, yet, and then the family went in a Time Machine to the 1960βs and enjoyed this wonderful classic. First of all, the main character is trying to be a nun but ends up getting married, instead, which for some reason, is a total win in my book. The movie is a delightful, βtuneful and heartfelt movie.β Itβs very wholesome and even has historical contexts for you history buffs. And of course, the acting is on-key; literally!
For a little sugar on top, my seven year old stepson made the comment, βDad, youβre like the dad, and [Mole] is like the nice lady.β Last night, he asked to watch the movie, again. Iβd like to imagine if I had gone through with becoming a nun, then perhaps, I would have been just like Maria. Songs and all.
βNuff said.
10/10 β I will be re-watching this movie.
