Oh, I'd written this off as a failure and didn't realize people had posted in it.

Alrighty. In that case, expect an OOC up later tonight.

EDIT: Make that tomorrow.
@Ryteb Pymeroce
I'm personally a bit shaky on it, but unless Three has an objection I think it's fine.

The bird that flew around the mountaintop temple laid there in the air, unnoticed by the eyes of those humans in the temple themselves. Around the temple laid countless Bounded Fields, none near the strength of that absurd anti-spirit one that surrounded the temple grounds, but in their quantity it seemed that the temple was a frightening prospect to challenge. A sort of pressure emanated from the grounds below, as though something hidden just out of sight was present, keeping out of view from the bird's purvey. And yet, as Ernest's eyes looked through it, there was the unshakeable feeling that his familiar had somehow been noticed, and was being watched up until now.

There didn't seem to be a Master, or anyone who would fit that bill within sight, though.

Oh, a human who was clearly not a human had arrived at the church as well.

No, he clearly wasn't a Master, but still had that unfamiliar reek of magic to him. A familiar, then? A human body called into service?

Ruler's expression soured, if only slightly, before regaining his prior luster. It took him a handful of seconds before he was able to connect the intonation of the thrall with a previous visitor, but once he'd managed to, he gave a slight nod in understanding.

"Ah, fair enough." He replied with a quiet laugh under his breath. "As far as the basic rules, as a magus I am sure you're already aware. Don't expose yourself to the public, don't attack the foundation of the war itself, don't engage in combat on neutral ground, and if you can, please try and keep the loss of civilian life to a minimum."

"As for the conclusion of the war, well, that's been made different from the norm by this one's scale. Once seven Servants have fallen, the Holy Grail will be capable of granting a wish. Conflict may continue after that, but once someone has obtained the Holy Grail and made their wish, the system will shut down and the war will be at an end." He explained, a new, almost mischievous light entering his smile. "As for how to obtain the Holy Grail...well, it wouldn't be fair if I disclosed that so early."

Matou Zouken, Melina von Einzbern

"Well, I can't exactly applaud the circumstances, but for a second Servant to fall this early is something to be commended. We're that much closer to our goal."

"Still, I wish Berserker would...listen to me more. I don't like the idea of wasting a Command Seal on that sort of thing, but..."

"I did warn you about trusting the rest of the Einzberns in procuring a catalyst. They wanted power above all else, so the result reflects that."

"Tch, not all of us can strike a perfect balance between power and compatibility, you know."

"Ahaha, sorry, sorry. At any rate, don't worry about it. She might be insane, but she's shown no thoughts of betrayal so far. She understands her priorities."

"Yeah, I guess. What we're doing now, do you think Teacher would be proud of it?"

"I'm sure she would. Everything we're doing is for the continuation of that dream, after all."

"...a toast, then. To utopia."

"To utopia."

And so, as a Master without a Servant came to arrive at the house of a foreign god, sunlight faded from the city of Fuyuki.

NIGHT TWO
@Bushman501
Good to go.

@Polaris North
Good to go.

@Hammerman
The personality section's basically just her motivation for joining the occult club plus a trait or two, so fleshing that out's definitely needed.

@BubblegumQueen
Listen to your heart.

@Ryteb Pymeroce
I'll look at this later tonight. Or Three can if he gets free before me.
Are those with approval allowed to post their character sheets to the character section?

Mhm.
@Ryteb Pymeroce
Some more work on the personality and biography would be nice. I'd recommend looking at the other sheets to help flesh out what sort of thing we're more looking for on the character design process.

@Pleek @Mercurial @ZeroCuero
All good to go.
@Rune_Alchemist
Good to go. <Shocking>, I know.

@Ryteb Pymeroce
Um.

So, uh, why did he join the occult club exactly? Also a bit more fleshing out on the personality would be nice. It's fine that he's learned swordsmanship and stuff, but a fifteen year old isn't going to be some kind of godlike combatant. At best I'll allow like a "could win a regional tournament" tier. Basically don't treat this like a shounen manga. Speaking of which:

user of the thousand swords style

the fuck is this
Passing this a bump.
Welcome to the city of Deln, recently voted by the annual Archmages Magazine survey as the best town to start a career in! Whether you're a budding mage looking for a school, a car salesman looking to set up shop, a demon who's just arrived in this world from the Infernal Plane, an electrical engineer looking to get a jumpstart on his career, or any manner of other things, there's something for everyone here in Deln!

Enjoy the scenery as you walk down the lovely Elanis River. Grab a bite to eat at the nationally-renowned Jacques Creperie. Cheer on our Deln Phoenixes in their big football game this Sunday against the Selc Tigers. The possibilities are endless!

...alright, enough of that tourism spiel. You get the idea, I'm not gonna make you sit through more of that saccharine shit than you need to.

Look, I know you. You've done some good heists for me in the past, but this one's on another level. Pull it off, and the rewards you'll get from it will make that time we had you steal that priceless painting look like chump change. I've called in a few other people I've worked with in the past like you. I know, you usually work alone, but for this kind of a heist you're gonna need a team.

I've gotten you all a couple of hotel rooms in one of the nicer city districts. You'll all be meeting there at 10:00 on Monday morning, I'll send you the plane ticket once we finish up here.

Hm? "What are you gonna steal"? Oh, kid, you don't know the half of it. It's pretty simple, really.

The entire city of Deln. Every coin, every heirloom, every scrap of food, every bit of building material, every piece of clothing off a resident's back. Everything but the people themselves. Your team's job is to steal the city of Deln.

You can do it in chunks. You should do it in chunks, honestly. Raid a museum, then when they shut it down you can take the museum itself apart. Same for restaurants, for businesses, for everything. Can't steal a house? Drive property values down until you're practically getting begged to take it off the owners' hands. Don't care how you do it, but within the next three months, Deln shouldn't exist anymore, and every asset it had should be transferred over to me. Do that, and I'll see to it that you and the rest of your team get rich enough that your personal wealth'll outstrip most countries. You don't need to give a fuck about what's in it for me. Yeah, exactly, same as usual, good to see you haven't changed.

I'm sending you a stipend with the plane tickets. Should be enough to get two or three magical artifacts to help you out with the job. You're smart, so don't screw this up. If you hit a big snag, give me a call, but I'm counting on you guys to be competent enough to handle it for the most part. This is the big one.
