Okay, great!

@Sleip

Sounds good! I'll just make a little collapse in the OP to indicate how many Servants per class people are thinking of making. Just as a note to everyone, this isn't claiming a spot or anything like that, I'll explain that in the collapse.

Edit: I'll also add a little blurb about the classes in a moment!
Potential interest!

Kinda curious btw, but since you mentioned unusual classes, are things like Foreigner or Faker allowed as well? Didn't see them on the list, so just wondering.

Happy to hear it!

I actually totally forgot about Faker. I'm fine with allowing it if people are interested, since I remember seeing that we just got a stat sheet for Faker from Case Files Grace Note! I think it's a little unclear on how you qualify for it (if someone has a source for that then I'd appreciate it a lot!), though, so I'd want to talk about specifics if you want to apply for that.

Foreigner's always been a little bit of a weird case for me, since it doesn't seem like the kind of class that's really naturally summonable given the ones we've seen so far and all of them having weird Grand-Order-plot-related situations going on. I don't want to say I'm banning it outright, but I'll probably be pretty hesitant on it and want to urge people to consider other classes that can do similar things, like Caster. If you have an idea that absolutely only works as Foreigner, though, I'm open to talking about it, but I'll honestly be pretty hesitant.
Fate/Lost Epoch

The year is 2004- more specifically, the eve of Fuyuki's First Holy Grail War. There was not that first war which ended in anticlimax, that second war which ended in blood, that third war which ended in thievery, or that fourth war which ended in curses. The sins of the past are not present here, but neither are their lessons.

There is no overseer from the church, nor are there formal regulations. The founding families of Fuyuki are entrenched, but not almighty. The Holy Grail is untainted, a genuine wishgranting device.

The slate is clean.

Let us see if it stays that way.

This is a Holy Grail War in the style of the one from the backstory of Fate/Grand Order. By that, I mean that it is a timeline where this 2004 war is the first one ever held in Fuyuki, and that it is for an untainted Grail.

To explain the basics if you're unfamiliar, a Holy Grail War is a battle for a magical wishgranting device, where mages called Masters summon Servants (incarnations of legendary figures) as familiars. These Servants are summoned in 'classes' which determine things like the weapons they use and the kinds of abilities they have.

Exactly how things play out will depend on how many people display interest. If we only have around seven players, then it will probably be a more normal affair where we have one of each class, but if there's enough interest then I'm happy to expand things appropriately. I will also be considering allowing classes that aren't the usual seven, (Avenger, Ruler, Gatekeeper, Gunner, Strategist, and Saver) if that is something people would be interested in, so don't hesitate to make your feelings known.

I'm of course available for any other questions you might have.

Helpful Information

I said this in the rules, but just to be extra clear, this roleplay will contain mature themes such as violence and death, so it isn't for all players. Please only state interest if you're okay with those sorts of things being present.

I'll actually have to drop out of this, some stuff's cropped up on my end that'll make RPing hard for the next couple of weeks. Best of luck to everyone, though! ^^
Lesser Ruler in this case just means that, while a Ruler is applicable, they'd be working for a full Ruler(an NPC I made).

Okay, cool! So just to clarify then, that means if I made a Ruler they wouldn't be partnered with a master or anything, right?
I'd be up for this!
I just missed the last one of these that came up, so I'd definitely be up for throwing my hat in on this! Fate/Zero and Unlimited Blade Works were some of my favorite anime (Haven't watched Fate/Apocrypha yet though ^^)

The route stuff's also super interesting, and including those special classes is cool too! Especially Strategist, I'm already thing of ideas for that...

Could someone explain what makes Ruler [Lesser] a lesser class, though? Do they have weaker stats than the other Servants or something? Couldn't find anything about that on the wiki.
Bad End: The After-Story

The heroes are dead, but we ain't pulling the plug.

TL;DR and rundown at the bottom. Character sheet templates and such will be put up if this gets sufficient interest.

In time immemorial, long before even recorded history, beings that the modern day could only call “gods” reigned at the peak of the world. Among these beings, there stood three kings, three sovereigns who had reached the peak of power. They could shatter continents, manipulate the elements, and warp the very fabric of reality itself. These three kings claimed dominion over all the world, and in this power they stood secure.

...that is, until champions among humanity rose up. Perhaps due to blessings from the heavens themselves, these champions appeared and waged war upon the kings. The kings’ followers became a sea of corpses, and at long last, those three rulers were struck down at the hands of the champions, their existences sealed away forever. In their absence, though, records were destroyed and knowledge lost. Indeed, it took millennia for mankind to become as advanced as it had been under the reign of those fallen tyrants.

Nonetheless, mankind lived on in an ordinary fashion, as the tales of heroes and monsters drifted from history to legend, and from legend to myth. Mankind grew complacent, ruling over the animals of the world. The arcane air of the world dissipated as the need for it vanished. Magical arts were lost and forgotten, and the world kept turning as it always had.

The year is 2018. The date is January 2nd.

The modern world has risen. However, it was in this year that an archaeologist who delved where no man should. Treading into a forgotten cavern, he awoke the gods of old.

Arising from their tomb and effortlessly slaying their discoverer, the kings soon ascertained what had occurred, that they had been sealed away and awoken in a new era. They noted the lack of magical energy in the air of the world, they noted the odd structures that littered the landscape, but above all else they felt it.

They felt that there were those who had inherited the destiny of the champions who had once bested them. The karma that tethered those kings and those champions cried out, names and faces flitting through the minds of the kings. An absolute fate beyond absolute fate- mankind would again create champions, and those champions would defeat the kings once more.

These future champions became their priority. They could not allow that destiny of defeat to come about. They could not allow their rule to crumble once again.

After obtaining rudimentary knowledge of the modern world, the kings sought to amass something resembling their armies of old. Gathering weak-willed men under their banner with honeyed words and promises, they formed their plan of attack to attend with these damned champions, and claim their dominion over the world once more.

“Uh, yeah, boss? So, we looked at your plan, and it seemed kinda dumb and just looked like it’d give these kids as much time as possible to get stronger, so we just sorta sent Ken and Bill to shoot ‘em. They were twelve, so it was pretty easy. Anyway, we’ll be taking that twelve bucks an hour we were promised now.”

“...what are ‘bucks’?”

“Eh? Whaddya mean ‘what are bucks’? You know, dollars, money, moolah, currency, dough. You trying to weasel out of paying us or something? Says right here in the employment contract. We did the job, so fork it over.”

“...how infantile, to be so blinded by avarice. You have merely served your betters, as is your prerogative as an inferior being. There is no reward to be had; being permitted to serve us is reward enough.”

“...you serious? Hey, Paulie, you hear this clown? They ain’t payin’ us.”

“I hear you, Phil. Sounds like we’ve gotta take drastic measures about now.”

“Unionize?”

“Unionize.”

And so it was to be, that after vanquishing the heroes, a new conflict would arise.

Megalomaniacal gods versus a henchmen union.

Who will live? Who will die?

Fuck if I know.

Hey, all. You can call me Mr. President, or President, or Pres or JoJo Turtle or whatever, I'm not picky.

Long-time RPer, but made an account on here cause a couple of friends mentioned it would probably be a solid place for hosting a couple of things I plan on GMing beyond what I usually do. Will also do some looking around for things to join as a player. Anyway yeah, nice to meet y'all!
