Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

Lunise could not help but thin her lips with concern as she followed Meesei around the tent with her eyes. "This is the most affected by nerves I have ever seen you," she remarked. She pinched at a finger on her opposite hand. "Is this...magic aura a kind of meditation?" She gestured up and around the white light.

Janius lay comfortably and affectionately in Kaleeth's embrace as only someone with full trust in her could.

"I will protect you too, my love," he said. "Can't have you paralyzed by a spider daedra on the battlefield." He sighed. "I love you, Kaleeth-rei."
Lunise arrived in just the same uniform that Meesei had left her in. She made sure to greet Sabine on her way. Though cordial in tone when in the open, she murmured a congratulations to her without any further context, before moving for Meesei's tent.

The way Meesei received Lunise drove her to immediate confusion. "Did coming to my tent and requesting my presence escape you over the last hour?" She asked quietly as her eyes scanned around the scene. "...Meesei, what is it exactly you are doing?"

"Positively droll!" Janius said with what little lung capacity he had at the time. "I would like to take up a trade at least. Or a business. Something. We don't even have to be the best at what we might try next. Of course, I would like foremost to see Julan through the next few stages of his life."
"In a heartbeat," Lunise said. This time it was her who avoided eye contact. "Even after the things I have witnessed. Even after losing people I care about...They did it for their duties. I am working as hard as I can to ensure guarantee our future comes to pass as well. But our duty is to this mission."

Janius laughed. "Right, it is. We do pretty well when all is said and done, don't we?" He nuzzled Kaleeth's neck affectionately. "I suppose after this we won't have to compare our fighting skills so seriously anymore." He sighed. "I hope we're good enough at all the other things as well."

<Incomplete post was here! Move on to after the turn marker below!>
Lunise turned and took Meesei lightly by the arms once they were out of sight. She knew Meesei could not hold them out of time for particularly long, so she took every precaution without always needing to.

The news about Sabine and Karl made her smile just a little. "I thought they might," she said softly. "I know how much you mean to one another." She took Meesei by the cheeks to wipe the tears away with her thumbs. "But you say what you do as if you are doubting yourself. Why?"

Enough of Janius' human instinct had influence to reach out and take Kaleeth's hand, or at least as much as it could encompass. "The way you mention it...you're right. That is all we ever need to be in the end, my dear." He squeezed her hand and breathed out. "I'm glad you said that."

He turned to face her. "You know, I've been unsure at times whether I'll be good enough for this mission. I play it off with humour, but what with Sabine throwing me about and the energy the children have, I have noticed. I'm not as fast as I used to be, nor as strong."
Lunise was well enough used to being taken out of time that she enjoyed the kiss for just a few moments more than strictly necessary. While she looked as professional and in control as ever, she broke the facade and sighed at Meesei's question and cast her eyes down. "Well. Everything is well. In order, ready, and well."

By her frown and her stilted tone, she did not reflect what she said. She took Meesei's hand and lead her inside the tent. "How fares you and your pack?"

Janius did not mind Kaleeth's company at the worst of times. He did not feel like transforming back either, perhaps because he did not think to, or perhaps because he had an easier time focussing on the present in his werewolf form.

The water eventually proved a bit too cold to stay in, but the grounds were dry enough that he was not shivering before his fur dried.

"Not at all," Janius responded. "Tonight is one of those nights with you that I wish would last forever, my dear."
I think I'm alright to move on to the next scene.
Janius quietly laughed through a grin. "Of course you would be the one forward enough to ask," Janius retorted. "I hope you are not disparaging Fendros' physical strength."

"I want to hear the answer as much as Ahna does, Janius. Don't be so deflective." Fendros did not miss a beat.

"Well, if you're interested..." Janius sighed and looked up at Kaleeth. "I would say you have helped me work out how to be complementary to another's talents, Kaleeth. Before I met you I was always more independently minded than I really needed to be. But knowing you're there, physically implacable and yet tying me to an enriching responsibility...I am guided."

"...And?" Fendros pressed.

Janius shot Ahnasha and Fendros a look. "We're as careful as we need to be and as dangerous as is enjoyable," he added quickly.

Fendros grinned. "I meant more in the sense of...wait, never mind."
While disappointed to hear they did not have an exact solution, the pack read Meesei's words. It would not help to pry. Still, the praise that followed was not lost on them either.

"You've kept us together, Meesei," Fendros said. "After you brought us together. That enough makes you a worthy pack leader."

Janius nodded. "Aye, and we shall cement our standing tomorrow, for all time!"
