Star Wars: Opposing Forces

Fiona's back ran cold as she shivered at the thought of fighting the Sith.
She had spent years learning about them and their terrible deeds. She remembered how they had ruled empires sometimes as two Sith, others as entire orders. Which meant that there was no telling how many of them there were. Her blood ran cold at the thought of facing such a dangerous foe. But the Sith knew of the Jedi already which meant they couldn't run or hide. Which left her only chance avoiding fighting being to leave the Jedi before it was too late.

No!, she thought to herself. Being a Jedi was too important for her to leave. Before she was an isolated person, one who had no idea who they were or what they could do. She had only just arrived and there was so much to learn. She couldn't bring herself to leave, which meant she was going to have to fight. She steeled her resolve before speaking up.

"If it is what you consider our best option, I shall follow you Master." Apart of her mind screamed in horror at what she'd just done, but it felt like the right thing to do. All in all she'd have prefered it if the Sith would've waited untill her training properly began, to show up out of nowhere. But she wasn't going to back down, just because of them.

Star Wars: Opposing Forces

Fiona was meditating in her room when the Yit took off, the sudden jolt almost disrupted her far-sense.
She had been gazing at her old home, Endor. She hadn't been there for a few years and it was comforting for her to check up on everyone.
But suddenly she sensed a flash of darkness cut though and drag her attention to her master his force seemed to collide with a darkness she had never seen before. As they seperated she attempted to follow it but it quickly slipped away, almost as if it had felt her gaze. She cursed her failure and frustration caused her control of the force to slip away.

Fiona sighed and stretched annoyed at her failure to maintain control of her emotions. She breathed deeply for a few moments calming herself by rationalising that she had only begun her training a few weeks ago and the lessons had mostly been focusing on the art of the saber rather than the force. She knew that the Jedi of old had started training from childhood and still took years to master the force because of that it was childish to believe that she would take any less time.

It was only after she had calmed down that she noticed the Yit has landed and heard her Master's voice.
"I am here, Master" she said bowing in greeting as she spoke.

Tom looked at Jace noticing the nervousness behind his words. Judging by his physique it wouldn't have been surprising if Jace had been bullied Tom had to admit he looked like a pretty easy target. Tom glanced at the shadow on the wall behind Jace. It had been there awhile changing shapes from goulish creatures to displaying medieval battles. While he would admit he had his problems going around and telling people about them didn't seem like a great way to make friends.

The Larties descended towards the planet with Freefall over taking the others by heading straight down. The cockpit was ingulfed in flames from breaking into the atmosphere. Pink clouds rushed past past until they suddenly broke to reveal the rocky landscape.

"We're back you b***h!" Freefall screamed at the planet. He scanned quickly, not bothering to start pulling up just yet. Judging by the smoke columns green squad seemed to have done a good job. Finally something going to plan Freefall thought to himself. judging by the blaster fire there were already Republic troops on the ground and he quickly spotted the 212th RV. But heading there now with a fully ready AT-TE and loaded up troopers didn't sit right. Which is why when he noticed some troopers pinned down by a rather large group of droids the locks holding on to the AT-TE might have malfunctioned right behind them and with the AT-TE being dropped the other pilots might have assumed that they were supposed to drop everyone of there. Freefall grinned to himself as he watched the AT-TE and troopers rip into the the droids. He then banked towards the RV.

Helix:"You did that on purpose, didn't you"
"I have no idea what you are talking about"he could barely contain his amusment and Helix burst into laughter at the clear lie. They descended into the RV and he checked on the other Larties most of them had survived a couple were picked off by the guns in orbit before they made it planetside. Most of the engineers were ecstatic at their first experience flying he couldn't blame them as there was nothing else like it. He deceided not to ruin their moment with the news that some of their friends hadn't made it. They probably weren't going to take it well. Engineers rarely died and when they did it was because the ship blew up and in that case they all died. Freefall sighed and wandered towards the LAAT/Is to get a moment alone. He let the reality of his squad mates deaths sink in as he sat on edge of the vessal removing his helmet to help get rid of the suffocating feeling in his throat.

Commander Cody: "Hey, Freefall, I Got a Message for You, You Might Like to Hear It."

Freefall looked dumb founded as the holodisc was pressed into his hand. He looked at it then paused. he read it again and again, tears were starting to pour down his face. Suddenly he broke off in a sprint towards Helix. Helix looked rather confused as his Captain ran towards him with tears coming down his face.
" You alright, sir?" Helix questioned
" They're alive, the bloody bastards. They're alive!"

Darkness and flashes of light. Screams and smoke.

Helix:"Freefall! Freefall!"

Freefall awoke to the sounds of the alarms and his body being jerked. He stumbled up his body felt like lead and even the slightest movements were agony. Helix helped him up and lent him against a nearby work table. Freefalls vision was blurry and it took him a few moments to get his bearings. He looked around and saw two V-19s both damaged. No, one damaged the other beyond repair. A little further to the side were 10 larties one with an attached AT-TE. Around the larties were a couple hundred troopers, all looking rather nervous.

Freefall:"we're on the Defiant?"

BOOM! The whole craft shook as it recieved a salvo from the enemy craft.

Helix:"Yes,sir" Helix's tone sounded a bit like CK's, never a good sign.
Freefall:"The others?"
Helix:"Gone"
Freefall noded plainly it was a sad thing to say but they were used to friends dying.
CRACK! Freefall began to understand why everyone on the hanger was looking so nervous the enemy frigates were focusing fire on the Defiant and by the sound of it the shields weren't going to hold much longer.

Freefall looked to Helix
Freefall:"Phase 2 is a go. Let's give'em the Hotdrop"
Helix looked surprised for a moment before simply wandering over to the larties and ushering the clones aboard
Helix:"All right troopers! let's load it up!"

Freefall eased towards Wrench, looked like he was in charge for the moment at least
Freefall:"I'm gonna need 9 engineers and before you argue, we both know that the Defiant probably won't be here long enough for us to make a second run and engineers are the closest thing to pilots still here. I want those troopers to at least have a chance of dying after being of some use to the Republic."

Wrench:"You're right old friend but that is why you are going to take all 20 of us we are useless here"
Freefall did a couple calculations in his head before agreeing that there was enough space to do that. The improvised invasion force waited until just after the latest barrage of fire to launch. Hoping to get down to the surface before they were all killied. Freefall was of course taking the AT-TE down after all quick drops was his specialty.

There departure was escourted by a hundred crys of "FOR THE REPUBLIC!"

Blue Squad shot out of the hanger racing into the fray of lasers. The squads team work was in good form today. The enemies around them were blasted to bits scrap metal. which allowed blue squad to redirect and support other squads dealing with more numerous droids. The fighting was intense to start off with but after a few minutes the clones were clearly showing signs of winning.

Freefall:"Squad status report"
Helix:"All is green and that would be 4 wait..... make that 5 kills"
Blaster:"Woooooohooooo! I ain't buying tonight 6 kills heck yeah!"
Onesie:"That's 3 on my end sir"
CK:"9"
Blaster:"Damn CK, Tough luck rookie looks like your buying"
Onesie:"I've been here for months! When are you gonna stop calling me rookie"
Helix:"Hang on a second. Hey captain! how many did you get"
Freefall:"Let's just say the first rounds on me and leave it at that"
Blaster:"Rookie you'll always be rookie. Now come on Captain let me hear that oh so sweet number"
CK:"He got 1"
Freefall:" CK I never thought I'd say this but you need to learn how to shut up"

The rest of the crew burst into laughter and Freefall had to turn off his comms and wait for them to settle down.

Freefall:"All right, funs over it's time to grab the Larties"

Blue squad pulled out and started heading back towards the Defiant. Freefall began to report the progress to Commander Oddball along the way.

Freefall:"Commander, this is blue 1. I repeat this is blue 1 permission to progress to phase 2 over"
