From my experience of the other RP I was involved in that had a GM disappear, democracy was actually the best system for working things out. Because the GM disappeared, it sort of left a power void and an idea void. Obviously no one person could just take it up but when everyone joined in, it worked. It means that everyone has a say so it does keep interest, build ties and ultimately makes a good RP.

As Gowi said before, just making an OOC for this is just flat out stealing so we can't do that. We need an RP that combines the original ideas and our ideas but has a similar feeling to the original one.

If we could get a discussion going with people chipping in ideas, it'll give Jabbers a little more time, keep this alive and if we need to, help us make a new RP.

There's been a massive amount of interest in this and right now, that's being drained. Jabbers has been offline for 5 days without a word and although something could of happened, it's unfair to let this die while we wait.

I don't really want to do it because I'll let you shit lords down but there's people with a lot of experience here so we should sort something out. If you guys wish to change dynamics, then let's do that but I don't want to see this wallowing around gathering dust.

I or anyone that broached the idea were talking about what we would do if Jabbers failed to show. We all want them to be the GM because they're the one with ideas but equally, we don't want this to fail which it will do if Jabbers doesn't return. Also I've seen it happen a great deal of times and one of the more successful RPs I was in formed from the GM disappearing and everyone else taking over. It isn't unheard of, it's just something I'd prefer didn't happen.

As myke said, it's disrespectful but time is interest on the Guild. Give it time, I agree, but if we let it stall and don't have anything planned in case Jabbers doesn't ultimately return, people lose interest and the RP dies.

But Jabbers does have our trust and there is the potential something bad could have happened so give it another while before we do anything rash.

We'll have to see. If Jabbers doesn't return, I fear we'll have no choice because I and I assume the rest of you, don't want to see this flounder! We have a bit of time so a discussion on it wouldn't hurt so if everyone could add their two cents on what should be done, that could help!

Before we start losing interest from people, I think we sort of need to establish our own cut-off date. Say by Friday if Jabbers hasn't popped back up, will we just make our own OOC?

Vodka and poitín are a very different kettle of fish now! Although it is made from potatoes, it can be a lot stronger than vodka just depending on where you get it! If you get it from some farmers or amateur brewers, it's gonna be strong - like blow the head clean off ya strong!

I was thinking of making an alternative character and I remember someone having cooking skills as starting skills. Are professions just like class or are they different? Was sorta thinking about something utility-ish?

Example, Novice > Dancer > Duelist > Musketeer or Xander/Laciel's line, Novice > Gadgeteer > Technoblade > Machiknight.
