Honestly not too happy with how that last post went, although luckily i know exactly how the final fight with the B-E-B is going to take place now so that's good!

Fun fact here; did you know that when put together, all the ants in the world would weigh as much as all of the humans in the world? If they somehow possessed our intelligence and could learn to work together, it would probably result in a fair fight between both species. Now minus the humans and add in a whole bunch of tiny killer robots. That might not be a fair fight!

Despite this, Scott Lang knew that they were needed if he ever wanted to beat the Bug Eyed Bandit’s bugs. He focussed, calling out with his helmet and attempted to summon his buddies from up on the roof. At once, the skylight through which he had fell through grew darker as his ant squadron began to burst through after him. Carpenter ant’s led the air assault, while the sudden appearance of a swarm of red across the floor originating from the warehouse’s main entrance signified the appearance of the rest of the troops; a mixture of Fire Ants and Bullet Ants.

While they were more than capable of dealing with the robots themselves, Scott knew he wouldn’t last a chance against those things, especially given what had happened to the original Bug Eyed Bandit. Aptitoxin was what the woman on the screen had called it. Obviously the stuff was bad news. However Scott knew of one way in which he could possibly avoid it and so he activated his pym particles and willed himself to shrink. The smaller his body, the less chance of being stung.

It also meant that Scott could punch them. Punch them hard.

Leaping high into the air, he headed against the oncoming swarm head on. Such a move would have probably seemed stupid, although in this case it actually worked. Scott was surprised to learn that he was actually faster than them. On at least faster than it had taken them to originally react to his attack. As he managed to grapple hold of one mid-air, he came to the conclusion that the new Bug Eyed Bandit that had spoken to him on the screen must have been controlling them remotely. That meant that he had an advantage.

As he proceeded to rip off the current bug’s robotic wings and avoid a jab from another’s metallic stinger, he activated his coms link.

“Hey Raz, any chance you can help deactivating these things? Must be some kind of external signal you can block? ” He asked as he leapt to another target, the previous bug descended to the floor due to its lack of wings.

“Any chance you don’t call me by my name again? ” Raz replied, his voice slightly agitated. “Don’t really want a super villain turn up at mine and my boyfri.. ”

“Little help first? I’m a little preoccupied. ” Scott interrupted. As he spoke, another robotic bug attempted to impale him. He yelped slightly, letting go of the bug he was attacking, and letting himself fall out of the way. Luckily he managed to drop down onto the back of one of his loyal carpenter ants, allowing him to temporarily get himself clear from the bug on robot-bug skirmish.

“Yeah, yeah.. ” Raz began, the sound of him typing on his keyboard echoing down his mic. “I think I’ve got something Ant-Man, although it’s encrypted. Give me a minute? ”

Scott wasn’t even sure that he be able to last a minute, although he agreed anyway. After a quick glance towards the Fire Ants down on the floor however, he got a small idea. As he circled the mass of robot-on-insect carnage, he raised his hands upwards, telepathically contacting his ground troops. At once the fire ants on the floor began to move, with Scott willing them to pile together. Quickly and efficiently, two bright red hands, formed from the compacted ants, rose from the ground either side of the swarm of robots, mirroring his own. Now came the hard part. As quickly as he could, he commanded all of the carpenter ants in the area to get the hell out of there. As they began to obey, Scott brought his hands together. As such, the two giant ant-made hands followed suit. They slammed together, seemingly crushing the robotic bugs within.

Unfortunately that hadn’t entirely been the case. While a large proportion, nearly half, dropped to the floor, the rest seemed completely fine. They shot out of the ant-hand’s grip with ease, engulphing them in the process. Before Scott could cry out in protest, Raz’s voice sounded off in his ear.

“Done. ”

At once the room grew silent, the buzz of the robot’s wings disappearing. The robotic bugs began to drop from the sky like flies, littering the floor below. At the sight, a smile began to creep across his face, although that quickly faded when he remember that some of the corpses on the floor belonged to some of his ants.

After giving them a silent goodbye, he turned his attention back to the screen where the new Bug Eyed Bandit had spoken to him. Unfortunately, as soon as her control of her insects had disappeared, so had she, the screen now empty. Scott sighed loudly as he leapt from his ant and grew back to his regular size. It would seem that they weren’t done with this war yet. She’d be back. But why? Who the hell was she? Where was she now? And why had she killed the previous Bug Eyed Bandit. All these questions flooded through Scott’s head as he approached the computers once, although one remained at the front of his mind, one which he voiced aloud.

“Why do i always get the lame villains?”

Honestly if having another library is an issue i can change it! Truth be told, i completely forgot about the Merlin Prime,and Merlin the Boar's Sin of Greed stuff from the doc while i was writing!

Although i do like the idea of them possibly being connected in the way you described! If this is the case, I'll be sure to reread what you guys have done in regards to the Merlin Prime, Merlin the Boar's Sin of Greed, and rework mine accordingly. As well as giving it an actual name, since i was originally planning on having them just to refer to it as "The Library".

Oh I saw a trailer for that a few months ago and thought it looked interesting! Had no ideas that there were films before it though! Is it worth a watch?

Thought I'd just plop this here for now to see what you guys think! In terms of magical lore, i've tried not to delve down to deep, and tried to keep my mentions of the Otherworld limited.

Unknown to many, the events within William Shakespeare’s comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream hadn’t actually originated from within the great playwrights mind. Instead the tale had been described to him during a walk through the woods where he had encountered a mystical being near a circle of mushrooms. That being had in fact been one of the tale’s character’s; Puck, a member of the Fair Folk. They being an ancient race that inhabit the realm of Alfheim, part of the Otherworld.

King Oberon reigned over Alfheim, with the great Faerie King making sure that Alfheim’s existence was kept secret to the rest of the Otherworld’s inhabitants, in order to keep its peace. During his reign, he sired several children, one of which was a young faerie named Caséway.

It was during his adolescent years that Caséway started to rebel against his father’s wishes. He began to neglect his studies, believing that he had no need for the mystical arts. He soon fell in with the likes of Puck, his father’s servant. Despite having been extremely reprimanded for revealing their race’s existence years prior to a number of inhabitants of Earth, most notably the famous playwright mentioned previously, Puck continued his mischievous ways. Caséway had found a father figure in Puck, whom had taken a shine to the boy more than Oberon had ever done.

This didn’t stop the trickster from roping Caséway into his schemes however. A mere few weeks before Caséway was to receive his wings and thus enter adulthood, he found himself arguing with his father, after a trick gone wrong had caused Oberon to be humiliated in front of his people. Believing his son to have no respect whatsoever to him and his kingdom, Oberon decided that in order to teach his son a lesson, he was to be banished from Alfheim and condemned to walk among the people of Earth until he could earn back his honour.

And so it was done. Despite his protests Caséway soon found himself awakening in the middle of an empty wood. After some exploring he came across a small village, where he learnt of his whereabouts; Wales. He spent the first few months in that village, waiting for his father to invite him back home. In time, he began to lose hope. Eventually he left, venturing away and out into the world.

In time, Caséway became Casey Harper. He spent the next decade alone, never aging, yet always remembering. He had been living in a small apartment in Cardiff when the first superheroes were introduced to the world. They intrigued him and after a while, even started to inspire him. He did have abilities after all. Sure they weren’t as developed as many of his people, but that didn’t mean they couldn’t be any help. He fashioned himself a costume, making use his favourite green cloak that he had arrived to Earth in, as well as giving himself a new name; Puck, after person who had brought him here.

His first act of crime fighting had gone down well. His hallucinogenic dust had sent a group of armed thugs to sleep instantly, mainly because they were too confused as to why they were being attacked by a teenager in tights to do anything to stop him. After being recorded on someone’s phone, he became some sort of viral celebrity to the people of Cardiff. So much so that he received cheers of praise during his next few heroic outings. All was going well. Or so he thought.

After stopping a group of crooks who had been trying to escape in a getaway car, Casey soon found himself surrounded by a number of black federal looking SUVs. It was then that he found himself introduced to a man named Stephen Colbert, who revealed that he had become extremely interested in Casey ever since he had seen the boy on the news. He informed him that his company, Colbert International, was aiming to partner with younger and newer heroes in an effort to assist them with their heroics financially and politically. He invited Casey to join, although before the young hero could, he realized that the men that had surrounded him were all armed. When he declined, he found them all aimed at him. Before they could open fire or capture him however, a magical door seemed to appear infront of him; revealing a number fellow teenage superheroes. After fending off Colbert’s men, Casey left with them through the door, finding himself inside a giant library.

Here the three teenagers introduced themselves; their leader was Adam Pullen, a young man whose energy manipulating abilities seemed to be controlled by his confidence. As such he referred to himself as Kid Awesome. Next came Mason Shaw, the team’s technopath and resident IT guy. He was Gizmo. Finally was Maisie Andrews, part of a long line of Witches, and owner of one of Merlin’s own ancient spell books. The library belonged to her, with the door being able to open anywhere on Earth.

The group revealed that instead of partnering up with young superheroes, Colbert had been in fact capturing and experimenting on them. The team had been formed after he had attempted to capture them. Casey agreed to join their fight against Colbert and rescue the rest of the teenagers that he had captured.

Faerie Physiology:

Like the rest of the fair folk, Casey has pointed “elf-like” ears, black eyes with no pupils, and a mass of brightly coloured hair atop his head; in Casey’s case, this is mint green. Casey also appears extremely light on his feet, with him able to move from place to quickly and quietly, as if he is flying.

Magical Potential:

Due to his ancestry, Casey has a strong capacity to manipulate mystical energy. That would be if Casey had taken his studies seriously. Sure he has the potential, but he can’t do anything with it.

Chlorokinesis:

While Casey, most likely due to his faerie physiology, has a seemingly mystical connection to the plant world. While he isn’t able to manipulate and animate plants without extreme concentration, Casey can speak to them, as well as “encourage” them to grow.

Hallucinogenic Dust:

Unknown to simply be a feature of his faerie physiology or due to his magical abilities, with a wiggle of his fingers, Casey can produces spores which if inhaled or taken in through skin-contact can cause powerful visual and auditory hallucinations.

Immortality:

Like most faeries, Casey is immortal. He is immune to the effects of aging and will cease to continue aging once he reaches adulthood.

Bilingual:

Casey can speak, read, and write both English and Fey, the ancient language of his people, fluently.

Botany:

Probably due to his chlorokinesis abilities, Casey has always loved plants. Because of this, he decided to look into the field in his spare time.

Weaknesses:

Casey’s weakness, shared with the rest of the fair folk is cold iron. A blow from a weapon made out of it could possibly weaken Casey enough to nearly kill him. Numerous other well-known methods of warding off faeries also have a considerable affect against him, which makes his life quite problematic sometimes. These include; wearing clothing inside out, church bells, four-leaf clovers and even bread embarrassingly. Casey doesn’t know why but he just feels faint around the stuff.

Supporting Characters:

Adam Pullen AKA Kid Awesome

Originating from Canada and the self proclaimed leader of the group, Adam has the ability of flight, super strength, as well as energy blasts. His abilities rely on his confidence however, meaning that the more he believes in himself and what he is doing, the stronger he is, and the less susceptible to damage he becomes. This of course means that he can be an arrogant jerk.

Mason Shaw AKA Gizmo

The team's resident tech guy, Mason is a technopath. Despite his abilities however, he's more comfortable behind a computer screen rather than out in the action. Constantly struggling to find a way of setting up WIFI in the mysterious library.

Maisie Andrews AKA Girl who's too cool for nicknames

Maisie was shocked to discover her family secret that they came from a long line of witches. She soon inherited a spellbook which had in fact once belonged to Merlin himself. While experimenting with the book, she discovered the library, a mystical building located within the Otherworld, the door of which is able to open to anywhere in the world.

Stephen Colbert AKA The Big Bad Guy

Head of Colbert International, Stephen is a mysterious business man who seeks to capture and experiment on teenage superheroes, the reason for which remains unknown to the group. Colbert has offices all around the world, most noticeably in Pacific Point, Richmond and Grant City

All-Star Marvel: Audax Mundus Novus - Season 1 (Completed)

Thought i'd just give my opinions on things since i'm currently working through some writer's block :P

1)Namor- my idea was to have him be a king at the height of his rule, but then through a coup , he's overthrown and banished to the surface world. Here, he tries to make himself a new empire, but he's got a long road ahead of him.

Considering he's got a lot of connection with Fantastic Four characters, I'll leave up to you guys to judge him.

Personally my favourite of your choices. I may be mistaken, but i don't believe that any of the FF characters have made mention of Namor yet, so i think that you'd be all good on that front.

2)Magneto- Considering that there are already a few X-Men individuals, I can form him around their criteria.

Currently we don't actually have many people playing any of the X-men, other than Jean Gray, and Quicksilver, who if i'm correct is actually starting an arc where he was going to become a member of the Brotherhood again.

I'd give our resident Quicksilver @DrewVonAwesome a message!

5)Kingpin- I would love to do Kingpin, I was thinking that he's just an average schmuck who works at cubicle and has an average family life during the day. During the night, he is a ruthless and calculative criminal enterprise leader, and he struggles to keep the two lives seperate. This would be set in Wilson's early years.

For this i'ma just put this;

So far, the only lore that has been developed is that Kingpin's wife, Vanessa, became sick several months ago in the IC, which caused the Kingpin to direct his attention towards curing his wife, which has given other crime families/organizations the opportunity to grab some of his turf (however, the Kingpin still controls a portion of the New York underworld still). However, this is still an opportunity for the Kingpin to run as his beginning arc, so you wouldn't be restricted by this previous lore that much (just need to acknowledge it).

Other than that, I'm pretty sure that @Inuyasha was considering playing Kingpin, although as the rules say; Multiple players may attempt to apply for the same character and all competing applications posted within 24 hours of the first will be considered by the GM, to be judged and selected as they see fit.

7)Ultron- I was thinking of an early developed Ultron who is born into the world today and attempts to learn everything he can to help better his life, and those around him. Soon he goes from a sentient computer program with benevolent and innocent ideals to a crude and malformed mechanical vessel so that he can experience this amazing world for himself, but things go south fast and that sends him down the path of the genocidal robot we all know and love.

Here you'd probably have to work something out with @Gowi, our resident Ant-Man player!

Great! I've settled on Union Jack as the hero I'm going to play as (basically Captain America, except British and not as nice a guy) with some modifications to his backstory to fit the time period.

Is A.I.M. a feature of this universe? And did Hydra survive WWII in any form? I'm asking because I might use one of them in the backstory slightly.

I know A.I.M is, as @Dedonus recently had Hawkeye and Mockingbird go up against them. As for Hydra, I'm going to assume so, as unless i'm wrong, no one has made use of them yet!
