I'm assuming i'll need to continue on from where Nib left off, so i took that into account when starting my sheet. Shall get to work on the sample post shortly and should have that done just before christmas!
Ultimate One Universe: Season Two Application
Cyclops
Full Name Scott Summers
Powers/Abilities Scott has the ability to project a powerful beam of concussive force from his eyes. As a result of injuries caused by falling from the plane during his childhood, Scott is unable to control his optic blasts, relying on his lenses of ruby-quartz to be able to see normally.
Origin and Backstory Scott Summers did not have the world’s best childhood. Scott was on a flight with his parents and little brother Alex when their plane suddenly found itself erupting into flames. His father, Christopher Summers, knew they only had one parachute onboard and did what any father would do. He strapped Alex and the parachute to Scott and pushed them to safety. The landing was rough, but Scott escaped with just a concussion. However, the sight of seeing his parents plane go up in flames left an even deeper scar. Things only worsened when the boys became wards of the state and were separated when Alex was adopted, and Scott sent to an orphanage in Nebraska.
It was during this time that his mutant abilities manifested. After bumping into a wall, Scott's eyes began to hurt. Although he was able to see fine at first, he was unable to control it, and unaware of what he was doing, Scott opened his eyes. The blast of energy that erupted from them cut through the walls of his school, obliterating anything that fell into its path. It was a miracle that no one was hurt. That's when he came across one of the two men that would change his life forever; Charlies Xavier. Xavier Institute for Gifted Children became Scott's new home over the next few years. He excelled at his studies, and soon learnt how to control his abilities, using a lens of ruby-quartz to keep his optic blasts at bay. That was when he met Jean. Scott found himself falling in love with Jean Grey from the moment he laid eyes on her. In time the two grew close to one another, forming a relationship.
Things weren’t all smooth sailing though. During his time at the Institute, Scott watched first hand the hatred that the rest of the world had for his kind, and he absolutely hated it. At first, he had held strongly to the dream of a better world that Charles had described to him; a world of mutants and humans living together in peace. However, the more he watched on the news of bigotry and racism that mutants received merely for existing, the more his belief in that dream faded. These thoughts were brought forward upon the arrival of Max Eisenhardt, otherwise known as Magneto. An old friend of Charles, Magneto was a firm believer in fighting back against the enemies of Mutantkind, and while Scott may not have agreed with his methods, he couldn’t disagree with the reasons.
Scott leaped at the chance to do his part upon the creation of X-Force. Taking the name of Cyclops, he fought for the position of the team’s leader, a position Charles’ had been steering him towards for years. Unfortunately, Magneto, the team’s supervisor, had other plans, placing his own son Pietro as the head of the group. This only made Scott more determined to do better, however, did little to solve the ongoing ideological struggle within his head.
What Makes This Character 'Ultimate'?: In recent years in the Marvel Universe, after years of tragedy for mutantkind, Scott Summer’s found himself moving away from Xavier’s ideology of humans and mutants living in peace, becoming a revolutionary (or terrorist), akin to Magneto. I want to see what would happen if Scott found himself succumbing to these thoughts at an earlier stage in his life, and how that would affect the X-men. With both Xavier and Magneto acting as mentors to the X-men (or X-force) in season 1, I feel it would be interesting to see how’d Scott would interact in such an environment.
Supporting Cast Charles Xavier: Founder and current head of Xavier Institute for Gifted Children. Charles has acted as a father figure to Scott during his time at the institute, however as tensions have escalated within the mutant community, Scott finds himself slipping away from Charles' ideology.
Max Eisenhardt AKA Magneto: The current supervisor of X-Force, Scott was initially hesitant of the mysterious Magneto. Now he's starting to agree with him more and more.
Jean Grey AKA Marvel Girl: An incredibly powerful telepath, Jean is both Scott's best friend, as well as his girlfriend.
Pietro Maximoff AKA Quicksilver: Speedster and son of Magneto, Pietro leads X-Force. He and Scott do not get along.
Tara Markov AKA Terra: As hot-headed as she is powerful, Terra can manipulate the earth. In recent months she has come to idolize Magneto.
Garfield Logan AKA Beast Boy: The youngest of the team, the green-skinned Beast Boy is able to turn into any creature in the animal kingdom.
Jubilation Lee AKA Jubilee: The living firework, Jubilee found the school just as her powers began showing. She has big dreams of becoming a superhero.
Henry McCoy AKA Beast: Close friend of Charles Xavier, the blue-furred Beast has a genius-level intellect and develops the team’s tools and gadgets.
Danny the Brick: The Sentient Brick that makes up Xavier's Institute.

“Are you going to tell me what’s wrong Scott, or am I just going to have to read your mind?”
Jean’s words broke Scott Summers free from his thoughts, returning him to one of the mansion’s various parlour rooms. The two of them were alone sat on a cushioned bay window seat, looking out over the mansion’s grounds. It was late afternoon outside, yet due to the time of year, the sun was already beginning to set, painting the skyline into a beautiful tapestry of oranges and blues. Yet for the young mutant, this was an entirely different sight, his ruby quartz glasses soaking everything with a deep tinge of red. Such a sight would have appeared incredibly alien to most people, although in the last few years such a thing was Scott’s new life. It was normal.
Jean was perched opposite him in the bay window, legs crossed, a large book resting in her lap. The two often sat like this; Jean with a book in her hands, and Scott binging through episodes of House of Cards or other like-minded shows. Not talking to one another, just enjoying each other’s company in silence, save for the sound of the tv in the background. However now she was looking directly at him.
Following her gaze, he moved his eyes down to the cushion he was clutching in his hands. Absentmindedly he had been picking one of its tassels to pieces, with a pile of thread forming all over his legs.
“That obvious, huh?” She giggled as Scott moved quickly to brush his legs clean.
“I mean, either that or I missed a memo from the Professor about him wanting to redecorate.” Making her voice softer, she rested her hand reassuringly onto his arm. “Is it Pietro again?”
Scott shifted uncomfortably as she said their teammate’s name. It was a touchy subject for him. Scott had been arguing with the professor for months, trying to convince him to let them head out into the field to do some good. Magneto’s arrival seemed to finally change Charles’ mind, yet instead of Scott being at the helm of the newly formed squad, it had been Quicksilver. And it was very clear that the two did not see eye to eye on a great many things.
“I just… I just still don’t get why he’s in charge. The guy’s basically a budget Flash.”
“You do have to admit that the guy does know how to lead a team.“
“Only because his dad is basically G.I. Joe with magnet powers. His nursey was probably Magneto’s old briefing room.”
The two erupted into laughter, both unable to cope with the image forming into their minds However this was soon short-lived as the sound of the television caught both of their attention. Images of a protect, interluded with shots of rioting individuals flashed across the screen, the anchor man’s voice echoing over them.
“A peaceful protect led by the mutant community has once against erupted into riots in downtown Manhattan this afternoon, once again prompting discussions about what many refer to as, The Mutant Problem. Senator Kelley gave the following statement.”
From his seat, Scott’s laughter died out, with anger washing over his face.
“I’m not watching this.” Scott declared as he arched forward, preparing to rise from his spot. Instantly Jean pulled him back down, stopping him.
“Let me.”
With a flick of her hand, the television’s remoted lifted from its place on the coffee table in the centre of the room and glided towards them. Grabbing it out of the air, she pressed the relevant button, putting the room back into silence. The two looked at one another, the reassuring smile upon Jean’s face calming Scott down. The two stared at each other for several seconds, before Scott finally broke.
“That is without a doubt, the most impressive thing you have ever done!” Scott jested, as he moved forward wrapping his arms around his girlfriend.
“Oh, shut up you.” She laughed as Scott came in for an embrace, pulling him down to her, the rest of her words becoming lost against his mouth.
“Come on Summers, at least give her a chance to breathe.”
The two of them broke apart instantly, throwing each other to separate ends of the bay window, both of their faces now as red as Scott’s glasses. The look on Pietro Maximoff’s face as he stood there before them was that of a kid on Christmas morning.
“What do you want Pietro?” Scott demanded as he adjusted his shades, moving his body so his posture was more physically imposing than of someone who had just been caught out unexpectantly. Pietro didn’t seem to care and just continued to smirk.
“We’ve got a mission. Father and the Professor want us all suited up in the briefing room in five.” Before either Scott or Jean could issue a response, the white-haired teenager vanished into a silver blur, the whooshing of air echoing.
“What an absolute…” Scott began to curse as the two jumped to their feet, only for Pietro to appear before them once more, this time in his costume.
“By the way, if we’re talking budget superheroes, pretty sure that Superman was shooting lasers out of his eyes first!” Giving Jean a wink, and a short salute to Scott, the speedster disappeared once more.
“They’re optic blasts, for gods sake!”
All done. Let me know what you think.
Also i need a new colour for Jean, i'm not feeling pink
I'm assuming i'll need to continue on from where Nib left off, so i took that into account when starting my sheet. Shall get to work on the sample post shortly and should have that done just before christmas!

Real Name: Frederick “Fred” Myers Age: 26 Gender: Male Powers, Abilities, and Gear:
While Myers has no real superhuman abilities, he is skilled in the area of accurately using complicated boomerangs as weapons. Examples of his arsenal includes:
Explosive Boomerang: Detonates on contact, damage to all in one area.
Razor Boomerang: A boomerang capable of cutting through bone and flesh when thrown correctly.
Both of these designs are collapsible for easy concealment.
Origin:
Migrating from Australia into the US at an early age, Fred's mother sent him away to baseball camp for his first summer in the country, in an attempt to get the boy to make friends and to take his mind off the move and her recent divorce. Sending Fred to the camp turned out to be a good decision, as he quickly grew to love the sport, joining his local team after discovering he had the arm to be a great pitcher. He soon began to dream of pitching for a major league team one day. Amazingly this dream seemed to come true, with Fred becoming a professional baseball player in the minor leagues after graduating high school, before entering the major leagues a few years later.
However, it was during this time that Fred seemed to fall into a bad crowd, and after a while built up a considerable dept with a local loan-shark. In an effort to pay back his debts, Fred began taking bribes to lose games so that his loan-shark could bet on him. This plan backfired tremendously, however, with Fred getting caught out and suspended from playing baseball any more. His life fell apart after that, with Fred simply staying home all day and refusing to leave the house.
That was when he was approached by the Secret Empire, an international criminal organization who felt that Fred had the potential to be of great use for them due to his world-class pitching skills. Due to his Australian heritage, they aptly named him Boomerang, equipping him with a costume, as well as a collection of razor-sharp boomerangs. After robbing a small bank in Brooklyn for the group, Fred wasn't happy with his cut, considering he had done the heavy lifting. Due to this, Fred gave an anonymous tip to the police on the group's location and had them arrested.
Keeping the suit, Boomerang soon branched out on his own, performing a variety of minor robberies. He was soon confronted by the amazing Spider-Man, and after a short scuffle found himself behind bars. Fortunately for Fred, he soon found himself back on the streets due to the Court not finding the note left on his webbed-up body as sufficient evidence of his crimes.
As such Boomerang was back in action. However, all he needed now was a decent job…
STORY INFO:
High Concept: I want to tell the story of a henchman within the criminal underworld, and i feel like Fred Myers is the perfect choice to play the low-life scoundrel that lives such a life. I really like the idea of a low-level supervillain having interviews and encounters with New York's top dogs, and just struggling to find a job within such an odd market. Motivation and Conflict: Plain and simple, Fred Myers needs money, much like the rest of the costumed criminals that make up New York's underworld. Unfortunately, Fred certainly isn't the best at what he does and is quite gifted at getting himself into predicaments. He's low down in the food chain, yet he has his eyes on being one of New York's top dogs. Notes:
Herman Schultz AKA Shocker: Frequent foe of Spider-Man, Herman was Fred's cellmate during his most recent stay in the slammer. After getting out the two have stayed in touch, with Herman being one of Fred's only friends in the "business".
Phineas T. Mason AKA The Tinkerer: An inventor who designs advanced weaponry for criminals, the Tinkerer runs an underground fix-it shop disguised as a radio repair shop. Fred is a regular customer of his and constantly goes to him to see if he's heard of any odd jobs going.
Anthony Davis AKA The Ringer: Fred's self-proclaimed rival in the criminal business.

Player Name: Natty Preferred Contact Method: PM, but available on Discord if required. Why This Character?: The Superior Foes of Spider-Man is one of my all-time favourite series and as such has given me a love for Boomerang. As such, i want to tell a story that pays homage to him! O R I G I N
Born in Cresskill, New Jersey, Janet Van Dyne had a very privileged childhood due to her family’s wealth. She grew up a socialite, spending her youth being shown off by her parents at fancy galas and parties. Janet rather enjoyed the spotlight, soon turning into a charismatic and friendly young woman. Her life wasn’t all fun though, as during her childhood her mother tragically passed away, leaving her in the care of her father, Vernon Van Dyne. Being a scientist and spending most of his time working, Vernon struggled to connect with his daughter. As such, he eventually decided to enrol her in a prestigious boarding school, which would give her an opportunity to bond with people her own age, as well as receive a tremendous education. Janet was enraged at first because of this, however in time she calmed herself, making friends at her new school, as well as coming to understand her father’s reasoning for his actions; she was too much like her mother.
When the time came to deciding on colleges, Janet set her sights on Greyburn College in New York City. This was in an attempt to spend more time with her father, who was a key researcher and funder of the College’s Research and Development Labs. Glad to be reunited, the two began getting dinner with each other once every week, in an attempt to maintain and strengthen their previously rough relationship.
It was at one of these dinners that Janet was introduced to the handsome young Dr. Hank Pym, one of her father’s colleagues. Hank was a scientific genius, excelling in a wide range of subjects such as biochemistry, physics, engineering, robotics, as well as AI, with him receiving his Doctorate well before any of his peers. Hank and Janet hit it off quite quickly, with the two beginning a romantic relationship with each other. On top of this, Janet’s schoolwork was going well, with her deciding to major in fashion design, something she was extremely talented at.
However disaster struck when during an experiment with Hank’s creation; the Pym Particle, a being known as Pilai was brought into their dimension from the Microverse. During the conflict at the lab, Pilai murdered Vernon.
A devastated Janet turned to Hank for help in avenging her father’s death, who in turn revealed himself to be the superhero Ant-Man, who used his Pym-Particles and cybernetic ant-controlling helmet to fight crime. Before he could go hunting for Pilai, Janet begged him to let her help. Reluctantly, Hank agreed to temporarily infuse Janet with his Pym Particles, allowing her to shift in size, as well as implanting her with a set of Bio-Synthetic Wings that he had been recently working on. Quickly designing a costume that mirrored that of Ant-Man’s, Janet became the Wasp!
Tracing Pilai’s energy signature, the two costumed heroes managed to easily track down the creature’s location. However dispite their combined abilities, they were no match for Pilai. That was until they discovered that Pilai was actually made up of formic acid, after he began to secrete some after an attack. As such, Hank hit him with a formula of Ant-Formic acid which dissolved him instantly.
Returning back to his lab, Hank planned to drain the Pym Particles back out of Janet’s body, like they had agreed prior. However, Janet refused, with her having thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, loving the rush that came with the heroics. As such, they agreed to become crime fighting partners, with Hank further improving her arsenal by editing her biology so that she could emit blasts of bio-energy from her hands, which she dubbed her wasp stingers.
At first they attempted to simply handle petty street crime, stopping muggings and robberies out of sight in their small size. That was until they encountered their first actual super powered opponent; a mutant by the name of David Cannon caught Hank and Janet’s attention after performing a series of jewel heists. The two intervened although neither them, or Hank’s army of ants, were a match for the villain’s speed, with him overpowering them easily before escaping. What more, was that the attack had also caused a large amount of property damage, severely tarnishing the two heroes’ media image. Fortunately their second encounter ended differently, with Janet regrowing to her regular size, before blasting him with a full-sized wasp sting. The blast, more powerful while she was at regular size, knocked him unconscious instantly. The conflict was fortunately captured on camera, thus reigniting their heroic image in the eyes of the public.
Shortly after finding themselves plastered all over the news, the two were approached by an organization by the name of S.H.I.E.L.D. Given their superhuman abilities, the organization had been keeping a close eye on the couple for some time. They offered the two places amongst their ranks, although in the end the two of them declined, although agreed to help them in the future if the situation required it.
Over the years they faced more and more threats, with the two building up a rogue gallery of sorts. One such rogue was Alexander Gentry, also known as the Porcupine. There was also Liso Trago, a man capable of controlling both animals and people using his music.
It was during this time that the two were married, with the husband and wife superhero team being as happy as ever. Or so Janet thought. What she wasn’t aware of at the time, was that as a result of Hank’s constant exposure to early forms of his Pym Particle, his mental state was starting to waver, with the particles impacting greatly on the Doctor’s bi-polar disorder. He regularly became enraged at every defeat, shouting at Janet behind closed doors back at their lab, and even occasionally in public out in the field. This behaviour grew worse however when their media attention began to waver, with news stations such as the Daily Bugle preferring to focus on other New York Superheroes, such as the infamous Spider-Man.
During one particular nervous breakdown, Hank decided that if he could build a robot to attack Manhattan, he could defeat it and be a hero in the eyes of the world. Janet was furious when she discovered her husband’s plans, and tried to intervene, only for Hank to strike her across the face. Before Janet could stop him, he unleashed his creation, only to find himself overpowered by the robot. Luckily Wasp managed to recover, with Janet saving the day by hitting the weak spot in its armour that Hank had purposefully created for him to hit.
Despite knowing that Hank’s actions were a result of his mental illnesses and wanting to help him overcome them, Janet felt like she couldn’t deal with the abuse any longer, and as such, decided to begin divorce proceedings. At the same time, she contacted S.H.I.E.L.D, and after a private word with its director, Nicholas Fury, convinced them to offer Hank a job as one of their lead scientists. In truth, the job other was a way of Janet giving Hank the care he needed, as well as making sure that someone was keeping an eye on him.
While Hank retired from super heroics due to his new job, Janet continued her life as the Wasp, now working alone. During this time, she faced David Cannon once more, who had now taken up the alias Whirlwind, as well as sporting a green armoured costume for defense against her stingers.
On top of this, she began to focus once more on her career as a fashion designer, with Janet realizing that her time studying fashion design was one of the best periods of her life. After finally finishing her degree, she formed a start-up company which she called Yellowjacket. Due to her expertise in both business and fashion design, as well as her popularity as the superheroine known as the Wasp, Yellowjacket soon became one of the most relevant fashion & design firms in New York City.
Once her life was finally starting to go more smoothly, another disaster struck, as a giant purple being landed in Kansas, threatening to destroy the planet. Working alongside with S.H.I.E.L.D, as well as many of the Earth’s mightiest heroes, Wasp helped lead the charge against the being which they dubbed Galactus. Following Galactus’s attacked, Wasp decided that it would be wise to form a team to contend with any similar threats in the future. As such, the Avengers were formed, with the Wasp acting as their leader, with S.H.I.E.L.D. monitoring the team behind closed doors.
P O W E R S & A B I L I T I E S
Size Reduction: Due to long-term exposure to Pym Particles, Janet is able to manipulate her size, reducing herself to roughly 1/2 inch in height. Due to her smaller size, her strength level increases as a result of her body's mass being compacted.
Bio-Synthetic Wings: When she reduces herself in size, Janet grows a pair of yellow insectoid wings which gives her the ability of flight, at speeds of up to 40mph.
Bio-Eletric Energy Stings: As a result of alterations from her ex-husband, Janet is able to harness her body's bio-energy, releasing it in the form of blasts of energy, dubbed as her Wasp Stingers. These stingers pack quite a punch, growing more powerful when she's in her regular size.
Fashion Design: Janet is an extremely talented fashion designer, to the extent that she even runs her own fashion company. As a result, she wore a different costume for every mission during her early days as the Wasp.
C A S T
Hank Pym: Janet's ex-husband, as well as previously the superhero Ant-Man. Currently working at S.H.I.E.L.D.
Thor Odinson: The Norse God himself, Thor is a fellow member of the Avengers. When not in the field, the two have a strong friendship which has developed over the passing months.
Stephanie Rogers AKA Captain America: A fellow member of the Avengers, Janet often seeks tactical advice from Stephanie due to her experience back during WWII. In return, Janet offered the senior citizen her friendship, as well as her fashion advice, something that Stephanie often ignored.
Tony Stark AKA Iron Man: Despite Janet believing him to be nothing more than an arrogant playboy, his assistance during the Galactus incident warranted in her inviting him to join the Avengers. The fact that he declined merely increased the negative feelings Janet had for the guy.

Origin Info/Details:
Many years ago, the Pantheon of Mayan Gods was alive with the same fire and power as that of the Olympians.
One such member was Chaac; the God of Rain and Thunder. During the earliest days of mankind, people starved beneath the beating heat of the sun. That was until Chaac discovered a golden boulder deep within the mountains, and after breaking it in two with his mighty axe, he found maize, the crop that would change the Mayan people forever. Chaac was worshipped for bringing Maize to the world, however this soon went to his head. He began an affair with the wife of the Sun God, Kinich Ahau, his brother. After the affair’s discovery, in an act of regret, Chaac struck the sky with his axe, releasing his tears of regret in the form of rain. Since then, Chaac turned his attention solely on helping mankind.
Even after the fall of the Mayan Civilization, the Mayan Gods lived on. In an attempt to keep their efforts alive, every 100 years, one God would select a Champion on Earth to represent them and their passion. Now, it was time for the God of Rain, to select a champion.
And that champion was Gabriela Rivero.
Gabi was born and raised in Guatemala City to a loving mother and father. Her family were fairly well off, with her father working as a professor at the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, an expert on Mayan Mythology. Because of this, Gabi often found herself falling asleep to the stories of the Mayan Gods. This was soon to change however when due to lack of funding, her father was fired from his job. With no income, the family found themselves in a dire situation, being push from their cushy life and into one of poverty. On top of this her mother soon grew ill. Without any money, they could only watch as her condition worsened, until after a few heartbreaking months, the inevitable happened.
Just as Gabi was beginning to find her place in the world after the loss of her mother, Tropical Storm Agatha struck the city. During the storm, the sewage system collapsed, creating a large sinkhole that completely swallowed Gabi’s entire street. Fortunately beforehand Gabi had made it out. However the same couldn’t be said for her father. After evacuating, Gabi discovered that they had forgotten to bring the last remaining photograph that they owned of her mother. Not wishing to see his daughter as distressed as she was, her father went back in order to retrieve it. A mere minute more and he would have made it back.
Heartbroken, Gabriela found herself alone and broken.
After a while of working practically every hour of the day and only barely managing to scrape by, Gabi joined an illegal logging expedition, hoping to make some decent money for once. All the while she kept her head down, avoiding the armed guards who had been hired to keep away the authorities. It had only been a month when while deep in the jungles, the guards were finally put to good use. During the gun fight, Gabi attempted to make some sort of escape, sprinting into the woods.
She soon came across a humungous valley cutting deep into the forest. The pure sight of it was breath-taking, compelling Gabi, lumber axe still in hand, to explore it further. As she made her way to the bottom, she soon laid eyes upon something she recognised from her late father’s bedtime stories; a Mayan Temple. A voice in her head told her to enter, and so she did. Inside was something that surprised her even further; a golden boulder. As soon as she saw it, she knew exactly what to do. Taking her lumber axe, she raised it above her head and with a powerful swing broke the rock in two.
At once the temple door’s slam shut, thunder echoing loudly. The skies darkened, filled with clouds. And then it began to rain. The water poured in through the temple’s skylight, flooding the room unnaturally fast. Trapped, Gabi began to panic. She was going to drown. As she tried her best to escape, that same voice from before spoke to her. She let the water engulph her as she now knew. She was to be Chaac’s champion. The waters empowered her, making her stronger. Wiser. Then as quickly as the room had filled, it emptied, the water draining away into nothingness and the door sliding open as if nothing had happened. But something had happened.
Gabi, now blessed by Chaac, instantly sought to put her newfound abilities to good use. With her axe in hand, she returned to Guatemala City, intent on bringing justice to the criminals that plagued her home. And as expected of the Mayan Champions, she took on the name of her creator, becoming Chaac.
After stopping a group of crooks who had been trying to escape in a getaway car, Chaac soon found herself surrounded by a number of black federal looking SUVs. Such a sight was all too rare in Guatemala City. It was then that she found himself introduced to a British man named Stephen Colbert. It was here that she learnt that one of her newfound abilities was being able to speak and understand any language she heard. Colbert revealed that he had become extremely interested in Chaac ever since he had seen her introduction to the world on the news. He informed her that his company, Colbert International, was aiming to partner with younger and newer heroes in an effort to assist them with their heroics financially and politically. He invited Chaac to join, although before the young hero could, she realized that the men that had surrounded her were all armed. As she began to decline, she found them all aimed at her. Before they could open fire or capture her however, a magical door seemed to appear infront of her; revealing a number fellow teenage superheroes. After fending off Colbert’s men, Gabi left with them through the door, strangely finding herself inside an empty diner.
Here the three teenagers introduced themselves; their leader was Adam Pullen, a young man whose energy manipulating abilities seemed to be controlled by his confidence. As such he referred to himself as Kid Awesome. Next came Mason Shaw, the team’s technopath and resident IT guy. He was Gizmo. Finally was Maisie Andrews, apparently one of the many granddaughters of the legendary Baba Yaga. The "diner" belonged to her, with her having accidentally sent the building to a pocket dimension of her creation, with the door being able to open anywhere on Earth.
The group revealed that instead of partnering up with young superheroes, Colbert had been in fact capturing and experimenting on them. The team had been formed after he had attempted to capture them. Gabi agreed to join their fight against Colbert and rescue the rest of the teenagers that he had captured.
Hero Type: Mystic / Supernatural
Power Level: City Level - Potentially World Level
Powers: Gabi has been blessed by the God of Rain himself, giving her a number of abilities. These include;
Weather Manipulation:
Due to Chaac being the God of Rain, Gabi is able to manipulate the weather, calling upon rain or even thunderstorms at will.
Rain Rejuvenation:
When in contact with rain water, Gabi finds herself rejuvenated, gaining a disproportionate amount of superhuman clarity, strength, speed, agility, and endurance.
Axe of Chaac:
Possibly one of Gabi's most useful attributes is her axe. While it had originated as a simple lumber axe, after being blessed by Chaac, the Axe now resembles that of Chaac's very own weapon. Firstly, it is one of the most powerful weapons ever made, with the ability to cut through any earthly material. The weapon can also be used to help Gabi to direct her weather manipulation, much like a wand for example. However if someone else was to use the axe, it would function just like any other axe. This is because the axe's properties aren't confined to that specific axe, instead to Gabi herself. Upon picking up another random axe, that weapon would then become the Axe of Chaac, with the old one returning to just a regular blade.
Godly Metamorphosis:
As Gabi makes use of her Godly powers, her body gradually begins to take the form of Chaac himself, the change starting from her axe hand. So far at its worse, her metamorphosis hasn't spread no more than halfway up her arm, with her body haven't begun to be coated with dark blue scales, reminiscent of Chaac's.
Multilingual:
Gabi is able to instantly communicate in any earthly dialect.
Strength Level: 40 tons Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 20 mph Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 3 hours Agility: 5x Intelligence: Average Fighting Skill: Trained
Weaknesses:
Supporting Characters:
Maisie was shocked to discover her family secret that she was actually the Granddaughter of Baba Yaga, a mystical being of Slavic Folklore. Because of this, Maisie discovered that she was in fact able to tap into the Arcane Stream. While experimenting with her new found magical abilities, she created a pocket dimension, where she accidently sent the diner that she had been working in. Luckily no one else had been inside at the time. Unfortunately she found that she was unable to send it back, however upon further experimentation, she discovered that she could manipulate the diner's entrance so that it could open up anywhere in the world.
Originating from Canada and the self proclaimed leader of the group, Adam has the ability of flight, super strength, as well as energy blasts. His abilities rely on his confidence however, meaning that the more he believes in himself and what he is doing, the stronger he is, and the less susceptible to damage he becomes. This of course means that he can be an arrogant jerk.
The team's resident tech guy, Mason is a technopath. Despite his abilities however, he's more comfortable behind a computer screen rather than out in the action. Constantly struggling to find a way of setting up WIFI in the mysterious library.
Head of Colbert International, Stephen is a mysterious business man who seeks to capture and experiment on teenage superheroes, the reason for which remains unknown to the group. Colbert has offices all around the world, most noticeably in Pacific Point, Richmond and Grant City
As was the general custom after a superhero stopped a crime, Quentin Quire found himself swarmed by a horde of reporters and flashing cameras as soon as he found his way down the bank’s front steps and out into the street. Here he was to give a witty or heroic remark regarding his actions. Maybe some moronic spiel about how he couldn’t have done it without LA’s Finest, despite how useless they always were, or even some modest remark about how he was just doing what anyone else would do.
All lies. The lot of it. The silly quips. The deranged catchphrases. All of it complete rubbish. Back in the day Quire would have relished a media opportunity such as this. He’d rant and preach about the failures of humanity and the power of homo-superior.
Now all he did was walk away, disappearing into the crowd.
As he made his way through the LA streets, Quire kept to himself, mentally blocking his presence from all he passed. To them, all they saw was an empty place on the sidewalk. To him, he saw everything. The mutant constantly found himself flicking through the minds of everyone around him, learning their names, lives and secrets. He was the human embodiment of the NSA. It was a filthy habit he had come to pick up, now that he thought about it. He was invading everyone’s lives. This was something the old Quentin would do.
Hell, at least he knew it was wrong. That was a start.
It would seem that this habit wasn’t entirely bad as he came to discover once he neared his apartment. Wonder Man stopped in his tracks as soon he read him, his thoughts as clear and dazed as the day that he had met him. The teenager felt his signature scowl washing back across his face, yet made no effort to hide it, as he surged on forwards.
All regrettable thoughts that he had previously had in regards to his telepathic habits temporarily left him, with Quire forcibly veering people out of his path, as well as even commanding the doorman of his apartment building to hold it open for him as he charged inside. Paying no attention to the occupants of the luxurious lobby, he crossed the room, stepping straight into the elevator which he had gotten somebody to call moments earlier while outside.
He took the elevator in silence, his mind still trying to comprehend what he would say. He was thinking so much, that he even forgot to move for a couple of seconds when that all so familiar ding from the elevator door’s met his ears. Finally he reluctantly stepped forward, striding across the short corridor towards the penthouse suite. He stopped once more outside the door, readying himself. After running his hands through what little remained of his hair, he turned the handle and stepped inside.
“I don’t give a damn what you’re doing here.” Quire barked as he strode into the room towards the blob of pink goo that made up the body of his old friend. “Just get the hell out before I lobotomise you!”
“That’s no way to treat your old pal, Quentin!” Glob Herman exclaimed, the gelatine man rising from his seat. “Now come give your buddy a hug!”
Honestly with uni and other IRL, I kind of lost track of how things were going here! I'm cool with continuing, however given that quite a few players haven't been active in some time I'm a tad worried we're simply beating a dead horse with a stick! Regardless, if there's still a hefty number, i'll get going on a post tonight!
