Nev's Desperate Attempt to find a 1x1 (Always Searching. Always Desperate)

Looking for RP partners for two three several rp ideas I had.

These would be played in Threads, not pm's

• The Serpentis: A vast galaxy means a wide variety of tastes. Naturally, some of these tastes are disliked by the Galactic Council, making them illegal. This is where smugglers come in. Our characters would be two members of a small band of smugglers (the others being playable NPC's) aboard their trusty starship, The Serpentis.
• West-Ward Bound!: Two-hundred-sixty years after a long-forgotten Apocalypse, the former United States is split in half. The Eastern Half, stretching east to the coast and west to the Mississippi, is the pinnacle of post-apocalyptic civilization. There's several cities, all under the control of the Iron Empire, and people are beginning to get back to living instead of just surviving. The West, stretching to the Pacific in the west and the Rocky Mountains, is a vast, untamed wilderness. There's very few organized settlements and lots of natural resources. The land between these two areas, dubbed the Wastes, is a land of dangerous extremes. Searing deserts change into freezing tundras in an instant. The Wastes are populated by all sorts of unpleasant creatures and banditry. Our characters will be forced to work together after a dangerous encounter with some of the Wastes's less savory characters. Who are they? Why are they making the journey west? Let's find out!
• The Royal Guard: In a steampunkish fantasy setting, the last surviving member of a disgraced royal family needs to leave the rebel-controlled capital and make it to loyalist territory. They won't be able to make the journey alone, so they hire a guard from a local tavern. They'll have to travel a large distance, dodging rebels and bandits alike. Is the guard a loyalist doing it for patriotism, or is he/she a die-hard rebel doing it for the money? Is the prince/princess a well-loved champion people, or were they just as corrupt as their parents? Let's find out!

Since they're apartments and not dorms, I'm assuming this means each person has their own bedroom and bathroom, with a shared living room and kitchen (this is how my apartment is set up). Either way, idk. Depending on when the RP starts, I'd imagine nobody knows anybody else depending on what they're majoring in.

Well, that was certainly interesting. Edric thought, a smile creeping onto his face. He noticed he was smiling at the man’s (Criston, was it?) blunder and wiped the smile off his face. He couldn’t make friends if he laughed at people he didn’t even know. He resolved to go down to the ballroom that was mentioned, perhaps he’d talk to some people there. He waded through a sea of people with a smile on his face. He was glad for the crowd, he’d had enough of the country side’s isolation.

The ballroom was exactly as ornate as the name implied. Looking at the way the ballroom was arranged, there was going to be an actual ball. Edric looked down at his clothing, suddenly glad he had dressed semi-formally for the first day. White button up shirt and slacks might not be traditional ballroom attire, but he supposed it was better than sweat pants or something.

He wasn’t the first student to enter, the fashion teacher, Carmen, was here as well as a few students who had trickled in before him. He supposed he should have put his things away, but that could wait. He needed to mingle. He maneuvered his way to the beverage table and filled an extravagant glass with cherry Dr. Pepper. He supposed he could have some alcohol, but the smell of the stuff made his stomach turn.

He felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned on heel and found himself face to a befreckled girl who was easily half a foot shorter than him.

”Hullo!” The girl said in the must bubbly voice he had ever heard. ”I’m Aileen, what’s your name?”

Eddy! Holy shit! A girl just spoke to you without you speaking to her first! Azamor said mockingly.

”H-hi. I’m Edric.” Edric was totally lost. Before, he had his clumsiness or the infirmary to use as conversational topics, but now Edric was lost. Azamor would’ve grinned, had he a physical body. Edric barely noticed that Azamor stole control from him. Azamor took moment to get to used to get used to the feeling of having a body before dumping Edric’s glass over the poor girl’s head. Edric seized back control, but not before the damage had been done. Aileen looked at Edric, fury in her eyes. She pulled back an arm and slapped him with such force he stumbled back a bit. She walked away huffing and Edric sighed.

Goddamn you, Aza. Edric thought coldly. He threatened the demon the only way he knew how. I swear to God, Aza. I’m going to play “Piano Man” for hours on end tonight.

Worth it!

He cursed under breath. Moments like that were what kept him searching for a way to break the bond he shared with the demon. The only deterrent he had at the moment was Billy Joel. A few hours of some “Uptown Girl” usually kept Azamor from screwing with him for a few days. He had often wondered what caused the demon’s hatred of Billy Joel. Refusing to dwell on the situation any longer he walked towards Carmen, deciding to introduce himself.

”Hello!” He said in what he hoped was a friendly voice when he had finally found the Skylark amidst the party-goers. ”I’m Edric. Edric Karst, I think I’m in one of your classes.”

Name: Gareth M. Tevis

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Personality: Gareth is hopeless. He's smart, but hopelessly apathetic. He's clumsy beyond measure always manages to be in the wrong at the wrong time. He's found himself always bored with reality and escaping into literature. That being said, he's always found people and characters interesting. He's written, "When you read a story, you read for the characters. Life is the same way, the people are far more interesting than any phenomenon." So, he's recently made attempts to get to know people, and failed. Something about acute laziness makes it hard to maintain friends. Despite this, he's vowed to be more outgoining when he arrives at Uni.

Background: Gareth was born to a lower middle-class family in Iowa. His town was slowly dying, cruelly kept alive by a large job-providing factory. With a personality that didn't lend itself to making friends easily and workaholic parents, Gareth spent most of his childhood lost in fictitious worlds. Gareth saw the heroes in his books and movies and envied them. They would always be remebered. For reasons a quick google search couldn't explain, Gareth developed a crippling fear of being forgotten.

So he began to write. Writing was the only way Gareth figured he could make his mark on the world. He never really got anywhere with writing, and before he knew it, Senior year was upon him. He chose Straider for the explicit reason that it was the farthest away from Clinton, Iowa. He now plans to make as many friends as possible.

Powers I wouldn't mind: Suggestion: "'Mind control' is such a barbaric term. I'm not forcing them to do anything, I'm just very convincing." The ability to suggest an action to a person or animal, the being wil then feel an unatural compulsion to perfom said action. You ever seen Jessica Jones? Basically Kilgrave's ability.
Conjuring: "With my mind I can create fucking swords! Or chairs. Or shirts or walls or...anything really. But swords are the coolest." The ability to conjure any non-organic material or item for a limited amount of time or with minimal durability. Hypothetically speaking, he could pour a large amount of energy into the conjuration of a single item to make it last significantly longer.
Location Swapping: "It's a matter of simplicity. If I want to be there, and you want be here, then great? If I want to be there but you also want to be there? Too bad." The ability to switch locations with any person or object that is either within the users line of sight or that the user knows the exact location of.
