@Leos KlienI was thinking about that as well, but then I thought of a few things:
1 Heatran is a LAVA dome pokemon
2 He already has extreme heat resistance
3 According to the pokedex, 'Boiling blood, like magma, circulates through its body. It makes its dwelling place in volcanic caves.' If his Legendary pokemon is so hot that magma is inside him, why not he himself?
4 Flash fire ability
5 Even other fire type pokemons who don't have abilities like flash fire can survive lava, for example in the anime where charizard and magmar literally dived into a vulcano and came back out not long after, or pokemon mystery dungeon (I know it works like this in explorers of darkness at least) where every fire type can literally walk over lava and take no damage at all. If they can, I think a legendary fire/steel type pokemon and his avatar should also be able to.

@Thundercrash Yes and no, it's from yu-gi-oh but I believe that it's like second release or so.

So I've updated my app a bit by adding an appearance and a hometown. I also removed the Flame body ability, as I thought the heat radiation already basicly did just that. Just trying to come up with a good personality besides him being pissed off quickly, and a fitting backstory.

@Thundercrash yeah, since Groudon is a ground type and creator of lands she should have generally more destruction skills, while Heatran is much more specialized in vulcanos and is a fire/steel type, meaning he should be more focused on lava and durability. Besides, Heatran is a sp. attacker with good defense and sp. defense, and Groudon is mostly focused on attack and defense.

@Zanavy yeah, the Magma Stone is rare, but that is because it's a key item, not a held. Also, it is only said to control Heatran's powers, meaning it has no buffs and only debuffs. I planned to use it as a limiter for Charlie's powers, which he carries in his bag due to it's size, so he doesn't go full natural disaster mode every time someone pisses him off. I could change it so he doesn't get angry that easily, but I thought his emotional 'eruptions' would suit the avatar of the Lava Dome pokemon.

P.s. just noticed I kept talking on and on about just one attribute of my character xD

Moves: Magma Storm, Heat Wave, Earth Power, Iron Head, Ancient Power and (learned by tutoring) Dragon Pulse.

Legendary powers:

Passive powers:

Extreme heat resistance,

able to climb on walls and ceilings,

strong endurance (cause of Heatran's body being made up of molten rugged steel).

Mood based powers:

(These are fueled by Charlie's anger and are blocked by the Magma Stone as long as Charlie is carrying it with him.)

Heat radiation, (When angry, he starts getting hotter till it radiates off him and warms up the whole area.)

eruption. (When really angry, he starts to shake the earth around him, eventually summoning lava from the newly made cracks in the ground. When at his actual limit, the lava will be shooting out of the ground like small multiple vulcanos.)

Held item: Binding Band

Appearance:

Personality: He is easily set off but also easily calmed down. (unless you make him erupt, then you should run for your life.) He doesn't like big crowds but very much likes small company so he has someone to talk to. He mostly appears happy towards others but with effort you can notice he is trying to hide some unknown sadness. He also likes swimming in lava (which he discovered AFTER Heatran bonded with him, thank Arceus for that.) and spelunking.

Backstory: Born and raised in Canalave City, Charlie was your average guy with above average anger management problems. He got into a lot of fights at school, but furthermore everything went fine. That was until a certain accident happened to him recently after he and Heatran bonded. After this accident, Charlie forced himself to go into hiding. While being hidden, he searched for and found the Magma Stone, which he carries in his backpack, which he uses to keep control of his own powers. Shortly after acquiring the stone, he heard that his parents moved from his home town in grief of his disappearance, making him homeless. He now wanders the pokeworld, stuck with what he rather sees as a curse than a gift.
